Activated pass

Good afternoon, Silly question perhaps but I am looking for confirmation or information on:I bought a global pass for 2 persons (me and my wife). I have activated the pass. (so far so good!) When I check the mobile pass information (My Pass) I cannot find any information on my wife’s name, just my name, pass reference and pass type. nor in the details. Is that ok or do I have to add additional information. How?

About Global pass

Hello travelers! How are you? I am a Brazilian traveler, but, i never use the Eurail Pass. I'm going to travel around some countries in Europe, but in Italy I intend to visit more cities (Venice, Bologna, Modena,...). In that case, can I use the Eurail Pass Global inside Italy? Another question about this. I wanna buy the Eurail Pass Global 22 days. Do these days count even if I don't use it on my trip for a few days? for example I'm going to Italy and spend 3 days there without using my Pass, in this case, do the 3 days count or not?

What compensations is there from SNCF for trip that terminated before final destination due to vandalism on the the line?

We were on the 12th April Paris-Hendaye train that got terminated at Bordeaux due to vandalism further down the line. We were travelling on a first class eurail pass so consumed one travel day on it plus the additional first class reservation charges. Are we entitled to any compensation for the bus tickets we had to buy to complete our journey to San Sebastian and the approximate 7 hour delay to our arrival as a result?Most of the information I can find relates to trains that are either cancelled entirely or delayed, but not to trains that commence the journey but fail to complete it.

Have to make a reservation due to the rail strike in Italy

The italy rail announced a trike in May 26th.We have booked the hotel in Arezzo 25th. We originally plan to take the early train (RV train no reservation required) from Arezzo to Roma, however this train has been canceled and we have booked the flight from Roma to our homecountry. So we have to make a reservation for another train due to this strike. We are wondering if the reservation fee (the reseravation fee in italy is expensive 10euro each person) can be reimbursed in this case? Many thanks for the help!!!

CLAIMING BACK AN OUTBOUND JOURNEY

I reserved a ticket for eurostar to Brussels on 10th April to travel on to Munich but also booked a flight to Munich and decided to take the flight. I deselected train journey from my pass but didn't deselect outbound journey. I tried to do this when I noticed it was still showing but it was too late since train departure had passed. Is there any way I can get this back?

I would like to know whether I have to put all my journey on travel day in the pass. Suppose I want to travel from city A to city B in the morning and in the afternoon I want to travel form city B to city C. Do I have to put these two trips into the pass on my travel day?

PROBLEM PAYING FOR EUROSTAR RESERVATION

Hi I've managed to book seats on eurostar from London to Brussels on 3 June but after taking my credit card details get message saying something went wrong. Tried again and also tried with seats on 1 June. I'm able to pay so there must be seats available but I get same message. I always seem to have a problem with interrail site!

i can't connect new trip to a mobile pass

Hello. I’ve bought a Global Flexi pass (4 days) and prepared a trip only for two days. Then I connected my pass to this trip and activated it on the day of travel. Everything went well. Now I want to continue with my travels, by adding a travel day. The problem I have is that when I create a journey I can't connect it to my mobile pass. Only paper pass option is offered. I do not know where the problem is. The only thing that comes to my mind is that I should have all four days planed before I activated my pass. Hope that is not the case otherwise interrail looses all the beauty and spontaneousness of traveling.Can somebody please help me. I wanna be able to continue my travel.Thanks, Biba.

Stuttgart-Strasbourg seat reservation June 2nd

Hi allNeed to prebook 1st classseat reservations for 2 people with global pass June 2nd Stuttgart to Strasbourg ICE 9572 which is TGV, with limited seats for interrail pass holders.Know its pricey but need to be sure of seats, for few reasons.Tried DBapp, CD website, OB app and SNCF. Phrases such as ticket not available or the button to book seat res only on DB is just not on screen. Is it just too early or are they sold out? All help appreciated, cheers

When does the toggle switch appear in my journey saved in the app

I have my app on my phone all set up and ready to activate closer to the date of travel. I have added my proposed journeys into My Trip and booked and printed seat reservations where they are needed.My question is I can’t see the grey switch to toggle when I want to add the journey to my pass. Will this only appear once I have activated my pass?Am I right that on the day of travel I flick the toggle switch to yellow to generate the QR code for all journeys on that particular day?Thank you in advance for your answers! As an older lady it is sometimes difficult to get your head around this stuff!

My route from Naples to Florence doesn’t show on the Trainitlaia site, but still show in the interrail app. I usually look in the official sites to check trains are on time but am I using the correct site to be checking this if it’s not showing?

Nighttrain on the 5th out of 5 days

Hello, I am planning a trip to Sweden this summer. For that i intend to buy a global pass with 5 travel days within one month. The interrail website states that it is not possible to take a nighttrain on the last day that the pass is valid. However, if my pass is valid for example from the first of July to the first of August, but the 23rd of July is already my fifth travel day, is it then allowed to take a nighttrain from 23rd to 24th of July and basically drive on 6 days? Theoratically the pass is still valid on that day but Im out of travel days…Thanks for helping

Travelling extensively within countries

Hi everyone. EuroRail rookie here. Just wanting to confirm the facts Ive read already from various blogs. We are travelling on a 1st class global pass for 2 months to about 11 countries (Germany, Austria, Czech, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland) I would like to ask if travelling within the same country (ie Switzerland or Hungary) is included in our global pass? I know it may not be include travel WITHIN a city (ie metro trains, trams, metro buses), but does it cover travel from city to city? Does this also include buses from city to city? Buenos días. Esta va a ser mu primera aventura en interrail y tengo dudas. Una vez compré el billete de interrail se puede reservar el tren en la aplicación rail planner, aunque no haya que reservar asiento? Es que veo que en los trenes disponibles se agotan los horarios. Entonces planifico un viaje y si no puedo reservar cuando llegue la fecha ya no hay trenes. Cómo se puede hacer? No entiendo. Si voy a la aventura, entonces no me compensa porque no puedo viajar donde y cuando yo quiera. Gracias

Hello,If I have a pass for 1 month and my mother a pass for 2 months, bought in May, when must we finish our travels by? I understand we have to activate within 11 months (so April 2023), but if we begin our travels in April could my Mum continue travelling into May and past the 11 months? Or must we finish our travel within 12 months of buying the pass?Thank you, Emma

Returning of a pass

Hello, we bought an Interrail ticket plus for our son Joris in July. He was supposed to use it for a language study trip to England. Unfortunately, the interrail accounts on all possible trains were already fully booked, which is why he could not travel by train. We would therefore like to have the ticket refunded. As a precaution, we bought the plus version, but when you log on to their site and try to return the ticket, it always says: You currently have no orders eligible for a refund. Accidentally left a reservation on that we didnt take

Hi all, I really hope someone can help us! My husband got us a 4 day in a month train pass about a month ago. At the time, we planned to travel on the 17th, so he activated the ticket. However, when we went to make reservations he couldn’t reserve on the 17th and we had to reserve for the 19th instead. He forgot to un activate the train on the 17th and it is now showing he used one of his travel days and we havent gone anywhere! Any help or suggestions would be SO appreciated.
