is Bernina Express included in the EURAIL PASS?

hi everyone..thank you in advance for your insights..we will be traveling around Europe in April-May. We are planning on catching a train from Milan to Tirano and from Tirano, italy take the Bernina Express...And get off in St Moritz and catch a train until we arrive in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Suddenly some Swiss trains are not valid anymore

Using the interrail pass in Switzerland in January and now again in March I must experience that some SBB trains e.g. between Kreuzlingen and Weinfelden, or Weinfelden-Winterthur are not bookable anymore Lines which are marked as valid in the Swiss Interrail map Map of Switzerland_SBB.JPG (1124×795) (interrail.eu) can no longer be booked (and I booked them with my old pass in January): But it worked beforehand, e.g. example from January:and the exactly same train in March:How could this happen and why is there no information about on the page that not all SBB trains are supported anymore or at least a current map of supported trains?

Question about luggage on trains

Hello! I am planning to use Eurail but i am travelling with my girlfriend and we both have 20kg luggage. We would like to know if we can travel with those luggage inside the train or do we need to pay some extra fees on this ?Thanks for the help!

Upcoming trip to Europe

Hi everyone! I am from Indonesia. 3 of us (incl a 16 yo child) will visit Europe next June-July, for around 3 weeks. The trip will be start from Italy (Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venice, Milan, Cinque Terre), all the way to Switzerland (we do not know yet which cities will be visitied, but most probably Lugano, Lucerne, Interlaken), Germany (Munich, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin), and Austria (Innsbruck, Salzburg). We will be flying home from Munich.So, here are my questions:Is it better for us to have Eurorail Global Pass for the entire trip or selected days only (flexible pass) or just go with buying individual train ticket on the spot/website? Because there will be several days we spend in one country only, for example 5-6 nights in Italy.  Just now I checked the ticket for OBB Nightjet, the rate for adding discount as Eurorail holder and no discount is the same. I wonder why. We plan to have overnight train from Innsbruck/Munich to Hamburg. If I just make the train res

Germany train strike

I was just I formed by nightjet that Germany will be going on strike from 2000 GMT on Sunday (May 14) until at 2200 GMT on Tuesday (May 16).  This is during the window in which we are traveling via train to Germany and then on to the Netherlands.  They did not say that our tickets were cancelled, just that I should postpone my travel.  Is that the same as canceling my ticket or will they still have limited service and I should continue as planned?  As for postponing that is not possible, we are on holiday travel and will need to get back to the Netherlands to catch a flight. How should I proceed?

Travel from London to Istanbul

HiCan you still travel by interrail from London via Paris Zurich to Istanbul with a 15-day ticket? And how good is the Belgrade-Sofia connection? ..does this go directly? and in which trains do I have to make reservations? Does the train also stop in Ljubljana? and how about changing money does it all work locally in the respective countries?Thanks in advance if anyone can answer this.Maybe someone has already made this trip. NO SEAT RESERVATION required- how to get ticket???please help

Good day everyone. I want to ask for some help regarding how to obtain a ticket for those trips that does not require any seat reservations as I know that the Eurail pass is not the ticket itself. How do I go about with this? Your responses are much appreciated.

Are there annual Eurail/Interrail price increases - if so, when?

Hi.I realise the answer is likely “not set in stone”, so this question really goes out to anyone with long standing knowledge of the pricing of the Eurail/Interrail passes.Clearly the price will go up over time. And the 11 month validity makes it possible to buy the passes well in advance. So, I’m contemplating buying passes for the family for travel in Italy next May - in case the price is hiked in the meantime.Anyone forum sages able to take an educated guess when the next price increase might be?Many thanks.PB

HOW to reserve seats in EURAIL and can you edit reserved seats if you miss it?

HI. I have read and known that apparently you can’t reserve seats from the actual Eurail planner app(which is frustrating). We will be traveling in April(after Holy Week)  from Milan to Rome, hence, I wanted to reserve seats ahead of time. What is the best site to do this for other trips as well or countries rather(Amsterdam, Paris, London, Brussels, Switzerland from Tirano). Thank you for your response.

Seat selection with Interrail Global Pass reservations

We’re travelling from the UK to Italy this year. We used to be able to select our seats with Senior Global Passes but have now discovered this has all changed. We can’t use SNCF or Trenitalia to do this anymore. Why is this? Does anyone have any suggestions how to get round this? Thanks

Eurail First Class seat reservation

I am trying to understand what you get with the First Class Eurail Global Pass ticket.  We will be travelling from London to Rome via train from the last week of April through to Mid May (a little over 3 weeks). We are going from London - Brussels - Paris - Geneva - Zurich - Venice - Florence - Rome - Amsterdam. We have not yet purchased our global pass, but If we purchase first class global pass do we still have to pay for the standard or first class seat reservations? For example, the app states that we have to pay an additional 44 dollars per person for first class tickets on the Eurostar from London to Brussels. Similar examples of needing to pay for a seat reservation include the trip from Paris to Geneva and all the trips in Italy. If we purchase a First Class Global pass would we still have to pay these seat reservations and if so would they be less than what is shown in the App?

Dear All,I am planning to take the EC 151 from Mannheim to Milan on Monday 15th May - now the german Train association EVG has just announced strikes for all german trains from 14th to 17th May. Do you guys Know if ECs are also affected from these strikes? Or is it german trains only?

Reservations from Kolding (DK) to Vaduz (LI)

Hi,i was trying to book a train from Kolding ( dk ) to Vaduz ( li ) on interrail.eu ( Vaduz train station does not  exist for them ) and on bahn.de ( tere were many possible trains to choose from, but after confirming our dates of birth I got a message that I can not buy the tickets from Deutsche Bahn, but at least Vaduz station exists for them) .We are 3 adults and a child ( 5 years old ).Why can I not buy these tickets?Any restriction for Danish citizens?Kind regards Jack

Hello Community!My sister and i are planning our first interrail trip for 4 weeks in may and June. Because it will be our first interrail tour, we hope to get some help from you. I informed myself a lot, but I'm very confused, because of so much informations. First I will show you the route we want to do:We will start at 25.05.2023 in Valencia?Then: Valencia to Alicante, Alicante to Granada, Granada to Cordoba, Cordoba to Sevilla, Sevilla to Faro, Faro to Lagos, Lagos to Lisbon, Lisbon to Madrid, Madrid to Barcelona, Barcelona to Marseille, Marseille to Nice, Nice to Venedig or Nice to Milan, at the end back to Germany.My questions:I noticed that there are seat reservations required in Spain. Can I book them in advance from Germany at a DB shelter? Or do I have them to book on a RENFE site? First, we thought about buying a global pass, 15 days in two months. My concern is the lists came from large national publications with millions of subscribers. Missed Eurostar Paris to London due to SNCF cancellation

 I am travelling on a global pass one month first class fare between England (origin) France and Spain. I am travelling home from south of Barcelona to Newcastle, UK. I am travelling with an assistance dog which make things a little more complicated. I travelled from Barcelona Sants to Latour du Carol on the 14.30 train on Friday 21st April. I had also booked onwards travel to Paris on the night train from Latour du Carol (Pyrénées) to Paris, Fri 21st April, dep. 18.49 arriving 22nd April 06.33. My Eurostar was booked for Paris-London on Sat 22nd at 09.13. At 18.00 SNCF cancelled the night train and I was stranded in Latour du Carol. The staff at Latour were inexperienced and unhelpful and told me to head back to the next town (Puigcerda, 4 mins away by train, but in Spain) and stay the night, getting the train in the morning back to Latour de Carol. This was a bad idea as I arrived in puigcerda and there were no trains in the morning and no one to help. I got a cab back to Latour (€40

seating plan for ICE 9573 10:55 Paris Est to Karlsruhe.

Can anybody tell me which seating plan to look at for the ICE 9573 Paris Est to Karlsruhe at 10:55 on 24th Nov. Seats allocated through Interrail were not suitable as they were seating us one behind the other. I took Brendan's advice and telephoned SNCF. The lady was very helpful and changed the seats. However, I think I'm still in the same position. The seats are in first class in carriage 28 seats 71&72. I think the original seats were same carriage 41&42. As far as I can see they are in a single row or in a compartment for 6 by a corridor. Any help would be appreciated.

@Camilo.I just learnt that the valid code for getting the Interrail/Eurail discount at Stena Line is EURAIL2023 On the benefit page the old and invalid code is shown. Can you please make sure that the benefit page is updated with the correct code ASAP?

Is there a "seat guru" to say which are best (and worst) seats on Eurostar?

I’m traveling Standard Premier London to Amsterdam in June and booked directly with Eurostar, so I can change the assigned seat.  I have chosen a seat that says “window seat” but came to find out there is no window at all, it is simply not an aisle seat, but no window.  I want to pick a forward facing seat with a window, preferably a single seat format.  But it appears there are very few of those with a window in Coach 1.  I was wondering if there is a website like seat guru for airplanes, that tells which are ok seats on Eurostar and which are really bad seats.

Why can't I pay with my credit card?

I just wanted to pay the tickets with my credit card, I filled all the forms and my credit card number, but when I clicked the button, all thing just restarted, and it had me to refill the credit card number again. Now, I’m worry about whether I should fill the credit card number again. I’m afraid that I have to the pay double tickets.

Trip from Paris to Barcelona

Hi! I want to travel from paris to barcelona and I am not sure whether I should be buying a one country pass or a global pass. One of the scheduled trains tells me that if I have a one country pass I need to buy the ticket separatelywhile the other scheduled time does not have any instruction whatsoeverI am a bit confused because the train travels across countries.
