Aktivierung Global pass

 Hallo

chIch habe ein Interrail Global Pass und reise im April 2023 3 Tage Nach Paris dann 4 Tage London, 4 Tage Brüssel, und 4 Tage München. Ich habe bei einem Thema gelesen das man sein pass aktivieren muss was ich nicht ganz versteh, ich habe mein Pass bei DB gekauft am Schalter muss ich den auch Online auf der Webseite aktivieren?

 Ich habe probiert ein Sitzplatzreservierung zu schauen und dann kam das Fenster mit Deine fahrt und die Reisenden auswählen habe ich dadurhc mein Pass online aktiviert oder wie ist das?

Würde mich freuen über eine Rpckmeldung?

Erstfrage:-um doch mal 111% sicher zu sein: ist das denn eine Papier pass-wie gewohnt am Schalter verkauft werden? Dan stehen ja schon die Anfangs/Enddaten da drauf-anders geht nicht. Aber an sich KANN DB-und auch SBB- sicher auch Mobile Pässe verkaufen. Und die muss mann ja aktivieren-was bloss heisst das mann dann selber jene Daten einträgst. Was SEHR UNvernünftig ist so lange im vorher!

An sich steht in die site dass mann bei Papierpässe sogar auch mobil das nötige Reiseplan einpflegen kannst-das ist SEHR SEHR UNweis-wir haben hier viele Berichte gelesen dass die Schaffnern das total nicht verstehen. In dieser Welt ist -und iB bei Bahnen-nicht alles so schön wie PR-Macher es mal gerne vorzustellen wunschen.

Ausserdem hast du bestimmt nicht die beste Route gewáhlt-€* und alle TGV in/nach FR muss mann RES und auch noch kráftig zu zahlen.

Du wirst schon eine Bericht von anna B aus SE hier sehen das mehr Infoś gibt und HInweis zur selber am besten RES machen.

Here is some useful information from the experienced travellers in the Community regarding both planning, reservations and activation of pass and travel days. 

 Planning

The rail planner is normally not up to date, as it only is updated once a month, so to be sure of the time table you better check the timetable and availability on the websites of the national railways. The bigger national railways, like DB (Germany) SBB (Switzerland) and ÖBB (Austria) cover several countries. 

 Reservations 

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to use other ways to make reservations than the Interrail/Eurail website.  You can look at the guide in the link:

If you, after having looked at the guide, have questions about how to make specific reservation, please give your travel details (departure date, time and route) preferably in a new topic, and you will get advice.

Please note that Interrail/Eurail charges an extra fee of 2 EUR per person and train in addition to the fee for the seat reservation.

 Activation of pass

During the activation process, when you choose the start day of the validity of the pass, the first day of the validity period is automatically made a travel day, even if you don't enter a journey, the advice is therefore not to activate the pass before the first travel day as you only can deactivate the pass before 00.00 on the day the validity starts. If your travel plans change in the last moment you will loose travel days if you have activated the pass in advance.

It can be wise to make a test and activate the pass with a start date well in the future and then deactivate the pass immediately, just to see that everything works.

 Activation of travel day

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is also never to activate a travel day, that is connect a journey to your pass and create the ticket (QR code), until just before boarding the train, otherwise you might loose a travel day if your travel plans change in a late stage  You can't delete a travel day in the past. A travel day can only be deleted until 23.59 CET the day before the travel day

Einen Interrail-Papierpass braucht man nicht zu aktivieren. Der ist schon "aktiviert”, d.h. Start- und Enddatum liegen dann schon fest.

HALLO

dANKE FÜR DIE  Rückmeldung. Ja es steht schon auf dem Papier Pass drauf anfang und enddatung 01.4-34.04. Und die Zugreservierung für Basel paris habe ich shcon gemacht hat mich 37.00 gekostet Paris-London 32.00 fr und London Brüssel 32.00 Fr. Und wegen der Route mache ich mir keine Sorge ist ja das erste mal wo ich mit dem Zug gehe in so vielen Ländern. Gibt es da was zu beachten wegen dem Zoll? Hat
