Seat Bookings no seat selection

Good evening,

I booked a seat reservation through Eurail, I have a global 15 day pass. Entered in all the information, payed. I was allocated seat 21 and my wife seat 24. No choice of seats was given, is this normal when booking seat reservation via Eurail.

You can't select seats via Eurail. They're also more expensive and have worse refund/exchange conditions.

If you'd like advice here, then please mention route, date and departure time. Seat selection is not always possible though.
