Thanks to everyone who joined our Moonlight Express giveaway and shared the night train you'd love to spend a night on. Reading through your replies felt like travelling across Europe one sleeper at a time. The Caledonian Sleeper came up again and again, so it's safe to say it's a community favourite. There were plenty of other inspiring routes too, and you've given us lots of ideas. We'll put together a list of all your recommendations soon, so everyone can discover a few new overnight journeys to add to their wish list. And now, the moment you've been waiting for. A heatwave spreading across Western and Central Europe could affect rail traffic from Wednesday, 24 June, through the end of this week on Sunday, 28 June, and may spill over into early next week.We estimate that rail traffic in the following countries could be affected by severe heat conditions over the coming days: France, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Poland and other Central European countries.If you plan to travel in these countries during this time, please check the planner in the Rail Planner app and the national railway carrier's timetable for the country you're travelling in (see our list of railway carriers included in the Pass sorted by countries across Europe) for up-to-date train times.

Rail strikes in France will impact train travel from the evening of 9 June until the morning of 11 June. Due to the strike, some disruptions are expected on international and domestic regional and long distance trains. We recommend checking the planner in the Rail Planner App or the SNCF timetable shortly before departing for your planned journey for up-to-date train times. Rail strikes in Italy will impact train travel from 03:00 on 11 June to 02:00 on 12 June.
