Hello, I have an upcoming trip to Europe and I’m already concerned if purchasing a monhtly Eurailpass was the right choice.I want to start my trip from Madrid to Paris on July 3 using the highspeed train and from there go to Seville, but just trying to book the starting point to Paris seems impossible.Any suggestion will be very welcome. Thanks!
My problem is that I’ve reserved a room on the Caledonian, leaving Glasgow at 11:40. It arrives in London at 7:15am the following day. I am then travelling to Paris later that morning on Eurostar. As things stand, this journey uses up both my ‘home’ travel days, which is far from ideal, to say the least. I can’t afford to pay for a return Eurostar + Avanti WC to Scotland.I’ve seen people mention that I could, perhaps alter the departure time to CET i.e. 00:40. I’ve done this in the app but will it work? I’m terrified that we’ll arrive at Glasgow and not be allowed to proceed.I’ve also asked support to add a travel day - I’m waiting to hear back. The situation is ridiculous really - as things stand no-one can use the sleeper to travel south unless they are prepared to use up both allowed ‘home’ travel days.Any help would be very gratefully received, as this is beyond stressful.
Could someone confirm whether or not Global Plus Pass first class allows making reservations free of charge for Prémium class on Renfe AVE trains in Spain? As this is the real first class that would be the whole point in buying the Plus Pass. Otherwise getting just the seat without the first class experience makes no sense to me.
I got a Interrail pass today. It was 67EU for Poland. And I have a D-ticket for Germany. I’m planning a trip to Poland, and with this pass, I was like: great, this will be cheap! The ticket on bahn.de is 32 Euros from Frankfurt an der Oder to Lodz. As I said, the pass was 67EU, so I thought, “Great, I have 35 euros left and then I will be saving money!”But now, when I’m trying to book my seat it is showing up for 2nd class as an additional 24EU. That feels like a scam supreme.Am I missing something? Like, why am I paying 67EU for the Interrail pass to save… 8EU on my trip?
Traveling from Hungary to Slovenia and this popped up (“Sorry, we can't deliver your paper tickets to this address on time. Please try another address or book at a main station.” ) The program will not let me complete my transaction. I read that it is not a good idea to have tickets sent to the hotel. How can I receive paper or electronic tickets? It does not give me this option. I will be traveling in 3 weeks. Thank you to anyone willing to share their knowledge with me : )
Hi,Do you guys know if Eurail support will answer on a Saturday?Got a bit an urgent issue, I ordered tickets on the website but after paying I got an error “payment could not be processed”. Can happen…but my bank account haa been deducted ;(planned to travel tomorrow morning alreadyThanks allBen
Hi, from Italy station tell me that with global pass I can't go to Paris from Italy. Is it true? I read that is possible to take an Italian train from Italy to Paris. Let me know ,thanks.
Every time I get to the checkout it says that something went wrong... this app and website is terrible.. Am I booking too early? We are trying to book for early June. WE already bought a 15 day pass (first class).
HI All, my wife and I are traveling in May (not the first time but the first time with the moble pass). Our flight lands in Frankfrutt at 7:30am and allowing for the usual customs and baggage retrieval (last year it took us only 30 minutes!) we would like to hop on the train to Bern around 9:00 or 9:30. BUT I want to adjust for the unexpected (pilots are late arriving at the airport, etc). IF I’ve already put an 11:00am journey into the TRIP, but we can catch an earlier train, what do I do? Or does it matter since we’re basically using one day? Thanks!!!!Scott
Hi I want to go interrailing next summer with my 14 year old son for roughly 2 weeks we have no interest in museums and stuff like that but just want an adventure with fun things to do and lovely scenery to see along the way, we are outgoing and like watersports and some mountain climbing anything exciting really. Im lost really as to what route to take , I've been to the likes of Amsterdam paris Munich most of Spain and Portugal so I've no interest in those places. The Slovenia croatia one caught my eye but I can't seem to find an itinerary of how many nights to stay where etc . Any help or advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave
Hey !! 👋🏻 Me and my friend have been trying to plan our interrail trip the past few weeks and it's so overwhelming we would love some help from someone who's been there. We are from Greece and the original plan of our trip was:Greece to Ljubljana by plane on 3/4. Stay there for 2 days.Ljubljana to Bern on 5/4. Stay 'till 8/4. (3 nights)Bern to Amsterdam 8/4 - 11/4. (3 nights)Amsterdam to Paris 11/4. Stay 'till 13/4. (2 nights)Paris to Barcelona on 13/4 and stay until 16/4 (3 nights). Then fly back from Barcelona to Greece. The thing is. Firstly we would like to explore Switzerland's nature, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen etc. however these are around an hour from Bern and there is not connection from Ljubljana to Interlaken. So we would have to go to Bern (explore there a bit) and then use another travel day to go from Bern to Interlaken etc and then back again to Bern. Do you think we can see everything mentioned in less than a day? And basically use 1 day at bern and the second at Interla
Hello, I am travelling with a group of friends through Italy in August. One of our planned routes is between the cities of Taranto and Pompei on August 15th. As I checked the timetables on Interrail website for updates recently, it seems there is a disruption on the route. We will have to take a train from Taranto to Potenza, then change there to a bus in direction do Salerno and then take a suburban train from Salerno to Pompei. See the screenshot below. The train/bus codes are: RE 34396, BusPZ446 and SUB21332. I contacted Trenitalia if the Global Pass applies to the bus and suburban train and they were only able to confirm that it does not apply to the suburban train (we will have to buy a full ticket for that - at least it’s only about 4 EUR). So I don’t know any details about the bus: is it a rail replacement bus, or a normal long distance bus? Will we have to make a seat reservation? Has anyone encountered a similar issue? I’ll be really glad to hear any advice from you guys! Than
I am considering buying an Interrail pass but I have a specific journey planned out. Is it possible to know whether there are pass holder seats left on specific journeys before I buy the Interrail pass? I am thinking specifically about Eurostar London to Paris, but also Paris to Munich, and Grenoble to Paris. If it’s not possible to know that before paying for the pass - I think that you can only get 85% back on unused passes, have I read that correctly? Thank you for your help!
As part of my trip this summer I am travelling from Geneva to Barcelona. The section from Lyon to Barcelona says seat reservations required (which I have booked for other parts of the trip) and that it is from 10euros. But when I am trying to book it seems to say that it can only be done at the local station? Does anyone know anything about this? I am nervous about not having a seat reservation for this part of the journey.Grateful for any advice or knowlege? Many thanks
Hi, I just want to check how this works. Am I right to think I can use one day of the pass at any time during the travel day validity period of the pass to travel within my country of residence and another day at any time during the travel day validity period of the pass and that would cover any number of train journeys? For example with a 10 days in 2 months pass I may fly from London Gatwick to perhaps Sicily, spend 4 travel days making my way to Paris, then board a Eurostar to London St Pancras and take a Thameslink train from St Pancras to return to London Gatwick and the travel from Paris to London Gatwick (day 5 of the pass) would be one of my days for travel in my home country. Then later in the 2 month period I could take a train from London Gatwick to St Pancras, change to Kings Cross, take a train to Edinburgh, change for a train to Aberdeen all in one day (day 6 of the pass) where I catch a flight to Oslo. From Oslo I take train travel for 4 days (utilising my 10 days of
I'm struggling to make a series of connected reservation as what if I make a reservation and then can't get the next leg?
Booked on Eurostar from London to Rotterdam in January. Have the paper reservations but not activated my pass on the app. As my end destination is Berlin I've noticed that I would get there earlier if I got off the Eurostar in Brussels rather than going on to Rotterdam. If I did this would it cause an issue upon my arrival in Brussels? Thanks
Hi,I am planning to use an Interrail ticket this july-august (10 days in 2 months). I have already booked a seat on one of the train legs where this was mandatory (Paris - Hendaye). For others (e.g. in Spain) this isn’t possible online, and for others there were no more seats available, but fortunately I managed to get alternative routes, where seat reservations are not mandatory. In some of the legs, I do get the information in the Interrail planner that making a seat reservation is recommended (not mandatory). For other legs, seat reservations seem neither mandatory nor recommended. My questions are:Can I trust the information in the Interrail planner regarding seat reservations? I mean is it updated? Can I avoid seat reservations if they are not mandatory, or do I risk having to off-board the train if it is full and I do not have a seat, regardless whether seat reservations are recommended or not?I see that a lot has been written on the topic of seat reservations, but I could not fin
So I'm using the app on an amazing trip so far and everything on the app works brilliantly except one thing which makes taking screenshots for Instagram or such not work well. It is creating a line on it's own from the last destination I have entered so far back to my start destination. Does anyone know how to stop this?
I am looking to know when are the trains running this june, where can i find a timetable for eurail?
Hi,I am late with booking (only decided to go today!) and can’t seem to find tickets to get from Paris to Barcelona (in July) and then Barcelona to Malaga. Can I just turn up at the station and book directly with the ticket office or will that be super expensive? Thanks so much.
My friend and his two teenage children are traveling from Paris Gare de Lyon to Verona Porta Nuova, Italy on 22 June 2023. They purchased the Trenitalia 3-Day Pass, and need seat reservations for this journey. This site is the only one I've found that has seat reservations for sale, but it's asking for the their Interrail Pass number. They don't have one because they have Trenitalia Pass. What do they do? Dose the Trenitalia Pass number work on this site? Thank you!
Hi everyone, I am currently trying to book a train from London to Barcelona. When I view the tickets without logging into my account, it looks like there are seats available. However, when I log in, I get the following message: “Prices unavailableNo price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable. “ Are tickets truly sold out? Is there any way I can purchase online?
Hello train travelers,I wanted to make seat reservations for the direct train from Brussels Midi to Lyon Part Dieu on June 16 at 1-ish. However, I was told that this is not possible when I phoned the railway company. What is the best alternative? The railway app suggests traveling via Paris, but that connection doesn’t seem so good. Are there better routes? Thanks
Have a booking for Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur departing at 2:24pm and struggling to find seat reservations on Eurail that would get me to Tirano (from Rome) on time and don’t cost an arm and a leg. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
