I'm currently traveling by train from Bucharest to Budapest and it will have about 2 hours delay. Is there any way to get a refund from the transport company (Mav/Mav start)?Do I need to get a proof of delay by the staff?Thank you for your answers in advance!:)
Hi! I’m travelling through the Nordic countries this summer and I have some issus with booking seat reservation for a leg of the trip.I tried to book reservation Narvik - Gallivare for the 15th of August (ideally the 3.10pm train) on interrail and vy but it seems that the trains are fully booked for a few days. I booked the Inlandsbanan from Gallivare on the 16th so I kind of really need to find a way to go there on the 15th…On interrail, the reservation goes through until last minute (‘review your order” page) where it says “Please try to find an alternative connection. The unavailable leg will be removed from your cart.”On vy the train show fully booked.Do you know if there’s another way to get a reservation? Or an alternate route/way to get there? Or should I continue checking the page in hope of someone cancelling their booking?Also, I saw that acprail still sells ticket at this time so I’m a bit confused (not only reservation through).Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi! My name is Sedef, and I am from North Macedonia. This summer I want to travel the EU through interrail and have wonderful adventures. I saw that Interrail is doing a 50% off discount for the passes and I wanted to ask if can non-European citizens benefit from the discount. I also checked the Eurail website for the discount but there is nothing stated about it. Can a buy a pass from Interrail’s website as a non-European citizen instead of Eurail’s website? How long does it take for Eurail Customer service to provide Pass Cover Number for mobile pass?First time novice holidaying in France. Bought 2 Eurail Mobile Pass hoping to use for the Paris - Avignon trip planned in late May. I’m having problem reserving seats using the Eurail App or the Interrail.eu web site, or the RailEurope web site.There is just no price listed to proceed with the seat reservation. See screen shot below from Eurail. In reading various posts in the forum, it appears having a Pass Cover Number may help to allow to reserve seats. I emailed Eurail Customer Service some 2.5 days ago, also sent a request through this forum, for 2x PassCoverNumber for our 2x Mobile Pass, but so far, haven’t received any info from Eurail, apart from the (not helpful) generic acknowledgement email that “we’ve got your email”…If there is Eurail customer service rep on this forum who could provide me Pass Cover Number, that’d be good. thanks. Hi all,I have a major problem with my Interrail mobile pass. I use the Rail Planner app on my Iphone 6 and everything went well until 3 days ago, when the app was updated and could only be used with an IOS 13.0 version. Unfortunately, I cannot install it on phone. Then, I don’t have access to my app anymore. My pass ends in two weeks and I really need to use it to come back.Has someone experienced the same problem ? If someone could help me find a solution, I will be so grateful !Thanks in advance !
Since 1-2 years it’s no longer possible to make online seat reservations for the Eurocity train connecting Milano Centrale (Italy) and Basel SBB (Switzerland).I called both the Italian and Swiss operator to ask if it is possible to make a reservation on the phone. This was not possible. They also told me that it is not possible to make a seat reservation at the station.Based on what they told me, the Global Pass turns out to be useless for the EC trains. Only option is taking multiple (often delayed) regional trains.Does anyone have the same experience?
Hi All!I'll be visiting the UK and would like to purchase tickets for a one day trip to Paris and back. However, when looking up information, I'm a bit confused as to what to pay? Would like to do 1st class seats there, but I am reading that I also have to purchase a reservation. Can someone please guide me to a good website on purchasing tickets and what excited is needed? Also, do I need a global pass for this one day trip?
Hi there,Our family is ready to purchase a Global Pass 10 days/2 Months. Per the conditions on the site I see that we have an 11 month deadline to use the pass. Does this mean we have to activate the pass within 11 months, or complete our 10 days of travel within 11 months?Due to possible (but hopefully unlikely) new Covid issues I want to know when would be our last day to cancel the pass and get a full refund? The site says a full refund is possible if one cancels “no later than six months from the last possible activation date of the Pass”.For example if today is January 31(purchase day), Expiration day 11 months from now would be December 31 and 6 months prior to this is June 30. So would June 30 be our latest cancellation day?Our first day of using the rail system will be in late May, so I think we are OK here, but just want to make sure as there seems to be some ambiguity of the terms.Thank you! I started travelling today with the interrail mobile app. Although I managed to get it all up and running for the first two legs of the trip, I am having critical issues with the app right now. The problem is that the rail planner does not work anymore: each time I select a departure or destination, the planner resets again so it is impossible to add a new leg to my trip. The FAQ states that it is also possible to add journeys manually, but this option seems to be missing in the app I have (version 19.0.0 om android 10). So in essence it is downright impossible to add any journeys to my pass and thus to get a valid ticket, so I cannot travel any further. How can this be fixed?I also contacted the support via email, but they say they will only answer within 7 days, which I think is pretty long if you are stranded with an app that is not working.
Hi! My husband and I just bought the mobile eurail pass. Can our e-tickets be printed at the train stations across Europe or can they only be printed at home? We’re staying in Airbnb’s, so we don’t have access to at home printers. Thank you in advance for your advice :)
Hi! So, I was planning on traveling through the Balkans in June, starting off in Romania (fairly easy to access country) and was wishing to go from there to Belgrade (Serbia) and then Sarajevo (Bosnia) before maybe going into Croatia. Turns out though, that getting from anywhere in Romania to Belgrade is impossible - the Interrail timetables doesn't even recognize Belgrade as a location,which is odd.Looking into other Serbian cities, although they ARE listed, this image comes up with every single city connection. On the other hand, in the section about Serbia (https://www.eurail.com/en/get-inspired/top-destinations/serbia-train) on the interrail webpage it talks about several connections from places like Zurich or Bucharest. So, what is the deal? I hear it's impossible to cross over from Romania directly right now, but even if I get a bus to cross the border, how come serbian trains aren't even showing up?Sorry, I know the questions is kinda specific. Any sort of help is welcome. :)

I have a few questions as a non-EU traveler:1) Is there a phone number I can use to contact Eurail, if there is an issue with my mobile pass while in Europe or at the train station?2) My credit card concierge service purchased the rail passes on my behalf with their account. Would it be possible to add my email address to the order so that emails are sent to me?3a) Due to covid, it'd be easier if I can reserve the seats and then activate the pass once I am in Europe. Is there there anyway to reserve seats without activating the pass first?3b) Can I make the seat reservations with my order number or does my credit card concierge service need to purchase the seats with their concierge account, since they, also, purchased the rail passes?4) Let's say my pass is activated but there is an issue with the pass and it's not scanning correctly at the station. I'm at the train station and my scheduled train is leaving in 2 hours or even 1 hour. What do I do? Who would I contact to get it
Here’s the thing: InterRail official web and app says that it is possible to book seat reservations in Croatia/Hungary. We also got reply from Interrail that yes, those bookings are possible. But it’s not true at all! It is impossible! And you will find many other people having the same issue - there’s always the same message“Prices unavailable No price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board” - and it doesn’t matter what dates you choose!The only option is to book on place… but imagine that it’s high season and you have on other way than book a seat in the same day… Great, isn’t? This is all a one huge lie and make whole trip a nightmare. You risk all that you won’t be able to travel because of that. We will neve

I am in trouble with my credit card, so I need to pay the seat reservation at the train station. It is for the tickets from stuttgart HBF Germany to Paris. I will be departing from Vienna. It is time enough to reserv just at the arriving at the station? What can I do if reserves are fully booked? May i buy a full ticket there to continue the trip?thanks
Hi allMe and my partner have second class 1 month mobile passes. We understand there is a reservation fee on many trains. We also understand there can be a supplement on night trains if we want a couchette, or even a compartment for just the 2 of us. So...trying to book TORINO PORTA NUOVA (Italy) 09:55 PM INI 799 INTERCITYNOTTE to Napoli for 28th March , I come up with a $16AUD booking fee for a seat (ok sure, but I want a bed so I'll pay extra)...or $310.40 for 'couchetta c4 comfort per 1 passegero - compartimento intero'. Those are my only 2 options Even if that option means 1x 4 couchette compartment all to myself AND another 1x 4 couchette compartment all for my partner thena) WHY? Why is that the only choice we get? Hallo,Ich bin ein Neuling hier. Wir haben mobile Interrail Global Pass für 22 Tage gekauft. Mit einiger Mühe habe ich es geschafft, den Pass mit unseren Daten " zu bestücken". Als Startdatum habe ich den 25.04.22 angegeben. Nun hat sich unser Startbeginn auf den 26.04.22 verschoben und ich wollte dies in den Details der Reisenden ändern. Es kommt aber die Meldung, dass die Details der Reisenden nicht geändert werden können. Kann bitte jemand weiterhelfen? Vielen Dank
Hi, I have a global pass and I am planning a train trip from Genoa to Paris on July 18th. The trip includes a stopover and using the Interrail booking tool I was able to book the Genoa-Nice route but not the Nice-Paris route. The site tells me this message: "not available from interrail.eu this seat reservation can’t be booked on our website.". How can I book this ticket? I do not live in France and it is not possible for me to go to the station in advance, except on the day of the journey when I arrive in Nice from Genoa, but I am afraid of not finding more seats that can be reserved. The train is the TGV 6162 INOUI at 14:16 on 18 July
Hello! I have a question about recommended seat reservations. I understand that it is not required, but what happens if I don't book a seat? Is there a chance that I'm not going to be allowed on a train or is it a matter of finding an actual sitting place? Essentially, I'm asking whether not booking a seat creates a risk of missing the train or is it simply a risk of standing instead of sitting?
Hey there, I wanted to buy one of the flash sale passes today but the Interrail website is not working properly. Whenever I want to check out the site isn’t loading and it says there are technical difficulties. Am I the only one experiencing this?And does anybody know if there's another way to buy one of the flash sale passes because the offer is only valid until tomorrow midnight and I’m afraid I can't buy one if the website is still not working.
