Hello.. I am new to this eurail website and I started planning my travel and I saw in planner in mobile app I turned on filter for No seat reservations required and searched for travel from kopenhagen to hamburg. In the results I get I see high speed train and one IC train and it says the reservation is recommended.I want to know is it just a suggestion or I have to do reservation in that case?
Good morning all, I am planning a trip through Romania this summer and I wanted to book seat reservations via the official website https://www.cfrcalatori.ro/en/. Do you know if that is possible to book both domestic and international trains with Interrail pass via Romanian railways official website? It does not seem possible to do so via Interrail website, and I can't find how to mention I possess an Interrail pass when trying to book on Romanian railways official website. Many thanks to all for the answers you could provide!Have a good day. Marie
Hello, My first question would be, if I buy the 15 day over 2 months, are the 2 months calendar months or are they 30 days? The second one is, as I have been cheking, there is some issues with QR codes sometimes, if ever need, can I ask for the Paper Pass for the train day at the station, does it have an extra fee?
Hi!I have an urgent problem. I bought a new phone for my trip, but the mobile pass is on the old one. I have ready contacten the customer service some days ago but no response. I'm starting my trip tomorrow. Is there a customer service employee who reads this? Or anyone an idea what I can do?Thanks!Cheers, Maureen
Here’s the thing: InterRail official web and app says that it is possible to book seat reservations in Croatia/Hungary. We also got reply from Interrail that yes, those bookings are possible. But it’s not true at all! It is impossible! And you will find many other people having the same issue - there’s always the same message“Prices unavailable No price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board” - and it doesn’t matter what dates you choose! The only option is to book on place… but imagine that it’s high season and you have on other way than book a seat in the same day… Great, isn’t? This is all a one huge lie and make whole trip a nightmare. You risk all that you won’t be able to travel because of that. We will neve
We are travelling from Brussels to Amsterdam tomorrow Sunday 2nd April. Made decision to take cheap intercity. Looking on planner it's now asking to pay supplement. I think for the airport we don't want obviously! Also train now taking 3h 15m instead of 2h 50m. Can anyone tell me do we have to pay this on board or before hand? Do we have to pay if we are not using airport? We are a family of 6. Thanks
Hi everyone, recently I bought a Eurail Global pass and my main destination will be Germany but also will spend 3 days in Switzerland. Anyway, I heard some people say the Eurail Pass also includes most of the S-Bahn, and I want to know if it is true ?Also, since I will be landed at Brandenburg Airport and there is a FEX Aiport Express links to the city center, I wonder if that is also includes in the Global pass? Thanks! 🙏
Trying to travel from London to Paris on May 30th, 2022 with my family (preferably in the morning). There are 4 of us total with 1st Class Global Eurail Pass Currently no seat reservations show available between May 26 and June 1st. I’ve checked both Eurail reservation and b-europe.com Have checked with connections through Brussels and Lille with no options on May 30th. If there are still open seats on the day of travel, with those seats be opened to Eurail passholders?
I want to travel from Amsterdam to Basel with ICE 105 on Monday the 18th July at 08:08. The rail planner app states “seat reservation recommendation” but checking oebb.at and bahn.com it seems that the train is fully booked. As the app says that reservations are recommended but not mandatory, I believe I should be able to travel, but I don’t want to gamble. Can someone confirm or deny? I’m fine with moving around in the train if my seat gets taken. Thanks,
Hello,My friend and I are planning a trip to Venice and Milan very soon (from the 11th of June to the 15th of June). As it is in Italy, we have to book our seats. When we try to do so on the interrail website, it says “Prices temporarily unavailable. Check back in a few hours to see prices and book this seat reservation.”. So we also tried via the italian website but there is no way of enterring that we have an interrail global pass. Then we tried on the austrian website ÖBB but for every train we checked, it says “ticket not available”. I really don’t know what to do as nothing seems to work and the trip is supposed to happen very soon. Any help would be very appreciated :)Here is our plan :Geneva - Venice (11.06) 7:39 - 14:42Venice - Milan (13.06) 11:00 - 13:15Milan - Zürich (15.06) 11:10 - 14:27 Thank you very much!
When I log in to the website, there is a single “My eurail trip” under my trips. On the railplanner app I created 2 trips with different names. How do I get the trips to be the same on the website and on the app? I want to be sure the reservations I am adding through the website are going to the trip I am using on the app.
Hello all, 3 friends and I ordered a mobile Interrail pass each. Many journeys we would like to do require seat reservation. However, the online seat booking system doesn't work (I’ve searched for many journeys in the reservation system, none of them is available for seat reservation, according to the system), it seems to be a known issue in the community. Is it possible to make seat reservations for 4 adults for the following journey?Lyon Perrache → Berlin, August 07, departing at 9:58 AM and arriving at 20:22 (there is a correspondance from Lyon Perrache → Frankfurt(Main) Hbf, it is the journey which need seat reservation) We had no sustained answer from the sncf and the interrail service, the two send us back to the other company... we're 3 days before we leave, it's a little panic.. thank you very much for helping us.
I’ve read in multiple places that Global pass holders can travel between Italy and Greece for free on Superfast ferries (plus the fuel charge). However, whenever I’ve tried to book a ticket, I’m only able to get the 30% discount when I click on the Eurail discount. Is there any way to purchase a ticket where I get the full discount/I’m only paying for the fuel charge?
We have 1st class reservations on the train….through the Chunnel...from London St. Pancras to Paris. We are Canadians and are wondering where we go through customs and immigration and, if at the beginning of the trip, how much time to allow? Also….as first time users of the European train system...how much time to arrive in advance at the station?
ÖBB have today published their new Timetable from 11 December 2022 to 09 December 2023.For the moment I found this new things:Nightjet services Vienna/Munich to Milan will go till Genova. Nightjet Munich-Venice and Euronight Munich-Budapest will start in Stuttgart. Same for EN to Zagreb and Rijeka.Euronight Zürich-Prague one train like this year via Salzburg and Linz and the other new service via Leipzig and Dresden.Nightjet Zürich-Hamburg/Berlin run not more together, but at different times.
Passenger rights: Stranded due to cancelled trains. How to continue on the next day without using up a travel day?
Dear people of InterRail, due to cancelled trains I am stranded and can continue the journey only tomorrow.I have already entered the journey which I originally planned in the travel diary. The end point of my today's journey can also not be reached via a different route.I know that the EU passenger rights apply, which entitle me (a) for a overnight stay for the night and (b) continuing my journey tomorrow without the need to use another InterRail day.Since tomorrow I wanted to spend a day stationary, I did not want to use an InterRail day at all tomorrow. My question is now is regarding (b):What do I need to do that I can continue my journey without the need of another InterRail day?I have a confirmation of the cancellation of the trains from the train crew of another train company. The company whose trains are canceled does not have a ticket office here.My tomorrow's journey would 3 or 4 different carriers (all of which accept InterRail).I don't expect that I can just travel tomorrow w
