Hey everyone, I know there’s been a lot of discussion going on about the seat reservation between France and Spain but I still struggle to make my reservation. As I am currently in Germany and planning to travel to Lyon and one day later (2.12.) from Lyon to Valencia, I cannot book this trip as indicated at a local spanish station. I tried via app - says ticket would arrive too late and cannot be booked therefore, also tried to send it to my hostel in Lyon and it would still not work. Then I tried at a local european station counter - they say they cannot book it either. I tried to call SNFC but the call is not going through. Has anybody another idea?Did anyone ever let a spanish friend buy a reservation locally and thenreceived it by email?How good are the chances to book the ticket the moment I arrive in the evening of 1st of december for the next day?I really hope someone can help. Dear Community,I’ve had so many issues with my interrail tickets over the past few days. I had urgent questions as my tickets didn’t arrive in time (or got lost), and they do not have a contact number…..why not? I lost a lot of money and wasn’t even able to travel with my pass. I sent several emails to the customer service of interrail and they do not respond to me. Also on twitter they haven’t been answering. Can someone help me with this? Did people have the same issues? Did people manage to get a refund for their passes and additional reservation costs?I am disappointed and desperate. With the same pass I have a trip planned for this Friday (already paid for the high speed trains), and I desperately need them to answer to me, otherwise my global pass will be completely unused:(Help me!
Hi guys, I will be travelling with my girlfriend in July and August. We are currently planing our route and will be starting in Santiago de Compostela. We want to visit Vigo, Porto, Lisbon, Faro, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona. On the interrail app it says seat reservations are required for nearly all of them. How and where do I book the seat reservations?
The Caledonian Sleeper site is contradicting my understanding of night trains and Eurail passes. They write:“Britrail / Inter-Rail / Eurail / FIP Coupons will need to be valid on the date you arrive in your destination but not necessarily on the date you join the train for departures before midnight.”Now, I understand why that might be the case for the trains that depart Edinburgh or Glasgow just before midnight: it’s after midnight CET, and maybe the app logs it in CET time.But I want to use my pass one morning to go from Glasgow to Fort William, explore, then get on the 19:50 departure to London, which arrives around 7am.Can anybody advise?

I would like to hear your predictions. Do you think it will be possible, provided that from 1st July a European vaccination pass will be available (we are both vaccined)? Is there a gift ticket/voucher offered by Interrail? That could be used as a gift to a family member that they can use up whenever they would like to travel around. Or is this how all the ticket work in general, that the traveller can use them up in within 11 months?
Hi. We are a family of four from Sweden that will go backpacking by train this summer. We all have Interrailcard.I´m trying to find schedules and tickets for the train from Milano to Tirano on the 21JULY2022 but can’t find any? Why cant I see any departures on trendnord or interrail websites or in the App?Looking forward to your help.With regard Dennis
I’ve been trying several times to buy my interail pass today and I cannot get to checkout. When I click on “Proceed to checkout” I’m directed to a blank page that tells me to add my details but there are no fields available. I tried to create an account before buying the pass but the same thing happens as well, there is simply no option to log in or create an account. I contacted Interail support and haven’t yet heard back. Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice on what to do?
Hi! I’m travelling to Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Nice, Milan, Rome, Italy, Bern, and Frankfurt. I have 2 questions. Do I really need to print out seat reservations or tickets for any of these cities? I leave tomorrow and plan to kind of book as I go, I find it so dumb to print things out when I have a mobile global pass Going from Paris-Barcelona I need a seat reservation, but it says it’ll be mailed by post… but I’m staying in airbnbs etc and don’t know if I’ll get it in time. How do I work around this?? any help is greatly appreciated thanks
Hi,We are planning a trip to Europe this coming December, coming from South Africa.We plant to visit Paris, France a few days, then move to Zermatt in Switzerland and then ending up in Amsterdam Netherlands.My Question:Does the Eurail Pass allow for travel on trains and trams within a city. For example if we want to get from the airport in Paris to our hotel we will be using a train. Is this included in the pass. Then if we want to use the train so go somewhere in Paris or surrounding areas is the pass valid. Then for example when we are in Switzerland can we use the train from Paris to Zermatt and use the pass for trains in Switzerland. Then when in Amsterdam can we use the pass to go from the airport to the hotel via train and also using the trains and trams in Amsterdam and also to go to the smaller towns in Netherlands.Any help will be appreciated
I just scheduled our very first train ticket from Switzerland to Germany with our 1st class pass and there are no specific seat assignments. Do we just look for first class and take a seat? How do you know if that seat does not belong to someone. Just little nervous and traveling in little more then 2 weeks. So exiting!!! Thank you in advance
Hi, I have bought a Global Mobile pass (7 trave days/1 month) and was planning to take this route in a few weeks:Gothenburg - Copenhagen - Hamburg - Frankfurt - Marseille - Barcelona Before I bought my pass, the “book reservations” page made it seem like I would be able to book all of the seat reservations with no issues and it showed me the prices too. However - as soon as I had bought my pass and logged in, it started only telling me “Prices unavailable” or “Prices temporarily unavailable” for the latter part of the trip. It doesn’t matter which departure or date I choose. If I go to bahn.com and sncf.com the train tickets I’m interested in are all available, but for a full price. I could buy these instead, but then there’s absolutely no reason for me to have an Interrail pass and I feel like I have poured money down the drain.Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance.
Hi All, I am travelling in Italy at the end of this month. I am currently planning my journey on the Eurail app. I have a mobile pass.I have saved a journey to My Trip with a 10 Eur Seat Reservation charge.How is this charge paid?There is no option on the App to pay.Under “More’ you can select ‘Seat Reservations’ then select ‘Italy’ and it says ‘Book at major train stations – At a ticket office or self-service machine’Does this mean the reservation fee is paid at the station on the day? thanks,
Dear fellow travelers, I am quite confused with Inter Rail's reservation tool. Hopefully you can help me! The situation is as follows: I bought an Interrail pass a while ago. With that pass I want to take the train from Milan to Brig (Switzerland). The app states that I have to make a seat reservation for this train. When I wanted to use the online reservation tool to make this reservation, I was not able to select any price/seat (see picture below), while the app shows me that the reservation costs are €11. Does this mean the train is already fully booked? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!
We want to travel from Zagreb to Split on the 07:35 train on 2nd July. In the Interrail reservation tool it’s saying reservations are required, but it won’t let me make a reservation. I get the same message if I search for the same journey on different days and at different times. Does this mean all the seats are reserved on all the trains?! Or will I be able to reserve seats at Zagreb Station when we arrive a couple of days before? Thanks for your help. Below is the message I’m seeing:Prices unavailableNo price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board.
Hi there! I’ve just purchased a 10 days in 2 months global Eurail pass and am nervous to activate it using the app as I’m unsure about the validity period and when that begins. Does it begin the day I activate my pass, or the first day of travel? Thanks!
HeyIch will am Freitag von Augsburg - Neapel fahren, dafür habe ich ein Italien Pass gebucht.Die Strecke Augsburg - Brenner würde ich mit einem normalen Ticket fahren und dann ab Italien das Interrail Italien Ticket für die Strecke Brenner - Neapel benutzen.Ich kann jedoch die Strecke Brenner - Bologna nicht Buchen bzw. sie nicht in meine journey hinzufügen, “conditions apply” steht in der App.Die Reservierung dafür konnte ich aber schon kaufen bzw. habe ich schon gekauft.Kann ich jetzt trotzdem mit diesem Zug fahren oder ist das nicht möglich?Ich muss um 16.00 Uhr in Bologna sein, da von dort mein bereits reservierter Zug nach Neapel fährt. Mit welchem Zug das am Ende klappt ist mir prinzipiell egal:) Vielen Dank bereits für eure Zeit
Hi, my phone recently broke while traveling. This means that my interrail pass cant be used on that device anymore. I already had contact with interrail and they unregistered my pass from my phone so i can add my pass on another device. My question is: is it possible to add my pass on my friends device so we have two passes on the same device? If this is not an option, does anyone have another suggestion?
Alright seasoned travellers! This year I plan on taking quite some night trains, but I don't have a set plan. I have used night trains before and usually booked them before my trip. I can imagine in high season couchettes can get sold out, or sometimes it's not possible to book all types of accomodation on certain routes, when booking at the train station. What are your experiences? Or do you prefer to book night trains in advance?
Hi guys,I'm planning to travel from Karlstad (Sweden) to Oslo (Norway). The app tells me to buy seat reservations for both trains that I have to take. However I am unable to book the reservation for the train that enters Norway trough the interrail website. I’m in Paris. I want to pick up someone from the airport CDG. I’m in Gare De Nord. Are there any trains that can get me there and back? I have the one month pass and she has the 10 day pass. Every time I try and book travel it says it’s not in the network. It has worked in every other country and city but not Paris? Can someone explain why.
