⚠️ Train strikes in the Netherlands on Friday, 13 JuneTrain Disruptions

Regional train strikes in the Netherlands on Friday, June 13, will impact train travellers across the country. There will be no domestic trains running in the provinces of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel, Flevoland, Zeeland, Noord-Brabant, Limburg and part of Gelderland. For the rest of the Netherlands, the Dutch national railway carrier NS is attempting to run a regular train service, but that may prove difficult on short notice.Due to possible delays and cancellations on the day of the strike, we recommend checking the NS timetable for operating train services and up-to-date train times before you depart for your planned rail journey.International trains will also be impacted, especially EuroCity and Eurocity Direct. ⚠️ Finland: Track maintenance works in summer 2025; replacement buses availableTrain Disruptions

Planned maintenance works in Finland will impact multiple railway lines across the country at different times during summer 2025. Replacement buses will be operational and are valid for Interrail Pass holders. For more information about the construction works and the affected train routes, check out the VR website.  If your planned rail journey in Finland is affected and you want to use the replacement bus, follow the steps below:Check up-to-date train times and replacement bus details for your route using the VR timetable.  Add the replacement bus journey manually in your Rail Planner app to generate a day ticket for it. ⚠️ Train strikes in the Netherlands: disruptions on June 6, 10, and 12, 2025Train Disruptions

Due to a national strike, no domestic trains will operate in the Netherlands on Friday, June 6, 2025, except for a limited shuttle between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central. Update on June 6 strike:NS expect that international trains can continue to run, except for Eurocity Direct:Between Amsterdam Centraal and Schiphol Airport, there will be a reduced train service. International trains are only available to passengers travelling abroad and not to passengers travelling between Dutch stations. Update on further strikes announced by the unions:Tuesday, 10 June 2025: Strike expanded to nationwide. Thursday, 12 June 2025: Strike called off - trains will run as normal. There may also be a strike on on June 16 and 17. ⚠️ Track damage affects route between Toulouse and Bordeaux in FranceTrain Disruptions

Track damage is disrupting train traffic between Toulouse and Bordeaux in France since 20 May 2025, and the expected timeline for resolution is currently unknown.The damage to railway infrastructure follows floods in the Tonneins region and has completely disrupted train traffic between Marmande and Agen. For the next several days, high-speed trains TGV INOUI, Ouigo and Intercités will not run between Bordeaux and Toulouse.The French national railway company SNCF advises travellers to go via Tarbes or Brive, which could be hours longer in journey duration. Additionally, TER replacement buses for the route are not available for Interrail Pass holders. ⚠️ 24–25 May: Construction works impact international trains between Netherlands and BelgiumTrain Disruptions

Due to major planned construction works at Rotterdam Central on 24 and 25 May, there will be no international trains between Amsterdam Central and Brussels–South/Midi. The following train routes will be impacted during the affected dates:Eurostar: Eurostar trains will not run between Amsterdam Centraal and Brussel-South/Midi. You can check the status of your Eurostar train using the Eurostar timetable. Eurocity Direct: These trains don't run on both days.  EuroCity: These trains will run via a different route. Roosendaal is the beginning and final station within the Netherlands. Multiple rail strikes in Portugal called by different unions will impact train travel across the country from Wednesday, 7 May to Wednesday, 14 May.  No minimum train services have been defined in this strike, so CP, the Portuguese national railway carrier, cannot guarantee that trains will run, especially on 7, 8 and 9 May. We recommend checking the CP Timetable shortly before departing for your planned journey for up-to-date train times. ⚠️ April 28: Major power outage affects trains in Spain and Portugal

A major power outage in Spain has resulted in train traffic disruptions across the railway network in both Spain and Portugal and it may also affect parts of France. Unfortunately, this is an ongoing disruption and the full extent of the situation and expected timeline for resolution are still unknown.If your planned rail journey has been impacted by this, we recommend that you seek assistance and further information at the railway station, onboard the train, or the official websites of Spanish railway carrier RENFE and Portuguese railway carrier CP.

New ferry timetables available in the Rail Planner App

Timetables for Stena Line and Tallink Silja ferries have been added to the Rail Planner App. This update supports better planning for routes involving ferry travel in Northern Europe, including connections across the Baltic Sea and between key destinations in Scandinavia. Ensure your app is up to date to access the latest schedules and departure information. 🙌 Please note that ferries are not included in the pass but are benefit partners. ⚠️ Construction works on Oslo to Gothenburg, Sweden, train route from Apr to Oct 2025Train Disruptions

Planned maintenance works in Sweden will impact the railway line between Gothenburg to Oslo, which will be under construction for several periods between April and October 2025. ⚠️ Dombås - Vinstra line closure due to damage from floodTravel Disruptions

Due to a damaged bridge that resulted from a flood, the Dovre railway is partially closed between Dombås and Vinstra. According to Bane NOR, it is difficult to estimate when the repair work will be completed. SJ Norge has canceled night trains between Oslo and Trondheim, as well as two daytime departures. During the day, buses will replace trains between Dombås and Vinstra/Ringebu, and trains will run for the remainder of the route. Note: train departure times between Trondheim and Dombås have been altered.  For up-to-date information, please check Entur.
