A new carrier in Poland joins Eurail’s Pass Network The timetable change brings new routes for Eurail travelers to explore in Poland. A mishap on the Trondheim-Bodø railway line has resulted in some sections of this line being closed. All trains on this line have been impacted. Trains run between Trondheim and Mo i Rana, a replacement bus will run from Mo i Rana and Bodø. Night trains between Trondheim and Bodø have been cancelled for the time being.We recommend that you check the SJ Nord website or the Entur website for up-to-date train timetables and information about your travels on this line.Delay compensation: Interrail travelers with an activated travel day on any of the affected dates might request compensation here.

Timetable and Seat Reservations Update

Here is a comprehensive breakdown of the new timetable data, updated seat reservation information, and important travel connections👇Timetable UpdatesWe have added and optimized our timetable data to help you plan better: Serbia Timetable Data Added: You can now access timetable data for Serbia, making it easier to plan your travels in this beautiful country. Estonia Timetable Data Added: Estonia’s timetable data is now available up to a month in advance. Euskotren Timetable Data Added: While not valid with a Eurail Pass/Interrail Pass, Euskotren data is now included up to a few weeks in advance, enabling new route planning options to Bilbao not via Barcelona. ⚠️ Train derailment in Swiss Gotthard tunnel on route Zurich – MilanTrain disruptions

The Swiss National Railways has announced that a freight train derailment on 10th August in the Gotthard Base Tunnel located on the route between Zurich to Milan has caused severe track damage. SBB expects that the tunnel will only be available for passenger train travel from the beginning of 2024. As a result, direct international trains will now take the scenic route across the mountains instead of the tunnel, resulting in 1 hour longer travel times. For this reason, SBB recommends catching a 1-hour earlier train from Zurich so as to not miss any further connecting trains. The following routes are the direct international Eurocity routes:Eurocity Zurich – Lugano – Milan/Verona/Venice/Genova Eurocity Basel – Luzern – Lugano – MilanFor all other international and domestic connections, there are hourly direct trains from Zurich to Chiasso taking the scenic route instead of the tunnel. Our Top 10 Improvements to This Year's December Timetable Release

It’s a special time of year! Twice annually, the European Railway Carriers release an updated timetable, making the second Sunday of December feel a little like New Year’s for train travellers. This release includes new routes, connections, services, and more. We have been eagerly anticipating how this timetable update will top previous releases. Well, the time has come, and we are thrilled to share the 10 most impactful improvements! New night trains: Starting from Brussels or Paris to BerlinThe latest additions to the ÖBB Nightjet routes will connect Brussels and Paris to Berlin. The direct night train service between Berlin and Paris, previously known as City Night Line, last operated in 2014. Travellers missed this night route, and we are pleased that passengers can travel it again three times per week.The Brussels to Berlin route runs six days per week, with both European Sleeper and the Nightjet running three times each on different days.
