First time in Europe - help getting to a few countries!
Hi there, first time poster here on the message board. I am travelling to Europe for the first time in May/June. I just purchased a Eurail pass, and would like to start booking reservations and find out what train stations I need to pass through.Below is my itinerary - if anyone has trained between these places, what would be the least stressful way of getting from point A to point B?Trip 1: Frankfurt airport to Berlin (specifically, Mitte) Trip 2: Berlin (specifically, Mitte) to Amsterdam Trip 3: Amsterdam to Paris Trip 4: Paris to LondonAny help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thank you!
Christmas trip to Switzerland-Austria
Hi all,Since I'm new here, let me first say that I'm so excited that I booked my first interrail pass. I also want to share with you my passion for traveling and especially train traveling. My question is what city you would suggest to visit for a short stopover in Switzerland (Christmas period) and what's the best itinerary to choose to benefit the most? A friend suggested taking a Swiss train from cologne which has a glass roof and goes along the Rhine???Any ideas , suggestions are welcomed. My interrail pass is just for 4 days and I will start from Brussels. Thanks in advance See you in the train!Spyros
Interrail in Italy - need advise please
I just need some general advise. I haven’t done Interrail for some 40 years and time has passed, I’m very rusty and much older getting my head around Interrail now is proving difficult, can anyone help? I am planning a trip to Italy starting next Monday and I have not booked anything yet. I am flying to Milan and taking a train to Lake Como for the first few days, I probably can do that on a normal ticket rather than using one of my travel days (I was thinking of buying a 6 day travel pass one country). I want to travel from Milan to the following places, Cinque Terra, Pisa, Florence, Siena, Rome, Naples (Pompeii and Sorrento) - then the final leg Naples to Syracuse in Sicily. I really don’t know how to start to book, all my trains / reservations or even if this is the best way to do it. I really need any help that anyone can offer me please to point me in the right direction, I am just finding it all a bit overwhelming. Please can someone advise me? Thank you in advance.
Florence to Ravenna Train Not Available
I bought a Eurail Pass but the schedule for a few routes I need is. not open yet. It seems that since this is less than 2 months away, I would be able to reserve seats. I am needing Florence to Ravenna on June 18, 2022 and Ravenna to Rome on June 26, 2022. I am only seeing trains available through June 11 and there is only one per day? Does anyone know when I these needed trains will be available to reserve?

Stop over in Chop (Ukraine)
Hello,I would like to travel from Kosice (Slowakia) to Brasov (Romania) and there is an option to travel via Chop. This city is in Ukraine (close to the border). Is it possible to travel that route with a Global Pass or do I have to pay extra, and how about covid-regulations in Ukraine for travellers who only visit the railway station?
I want to share my route, any advice will be helpful because I've never been in Europe. Thank you
Hi. I’m deciding my route, where to visit, stay, everything. I’m planing to buy “10 days within 2 months” interrail and I want to stay approximately 5 days in every location. I hope that 60€ for a day will be enough for everything(accommodation, museums, renting a bike, food, go to bars, etc). I hope that if I make reservations 2 days before i go (accommodation and for train), it will be fine. That’s what I want to know. I’m reading your comments but also there’s a lot of information. I guess I need to do early reservation for Barcelona to Paris. And I changed Poznan with Prague . Feel free to share your thoughts, thanks a lot.
Transfer times Germany
Hello. We will be travelling in October. Wondering if 4 min is enough transfer time in STEINACH (B ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER), 5 min in ANSBACH and 7 min at STUTTGART HBF station. Ive never been on the train, so Im not sure what it means to transfer from train to train, for example is it another station or across the platform? Or different depending on what city? Thanks for any information!
Hi,We are from South Africa. I hope to travel with my daughter from West (France-Paris) to East (Turkey-Istanbul) starting 16 December. Planning trip from Gdansk -> Athens, in total 10 stops.
Hi!I'm trying to plan my trip. Here's what I've come up with so far. But this route leaves out Sofia, Bucharest,Thessaloniki, Skopje and Krakow. But i think this is some of the best i can do in 30-40 days. This routes includes some planetickets near the end due to not so good railways. I have never travelled alone before and I really wanna experience travelling abit before i start on my 3 year bachelor lol. Do I need to search for visum? I am a EU resident so I dont think it’s mandatory? Are there many places to wash clothes? I'm gonna stay at hotels, I guess I can pay the cleaners to help me wash my clothes? I hope to get all my stuff inside a small carryon bag.I'm thinking to adjust the days when I go, as long as I am at Split at xx. date to catch the airplane to Belgrade, and then to Athens, so the only fixed number of nights will be at Belgrade and at Athens. So I'll have xx amount of days to distribute on the places inbetween Gdansk and Split.Any feedback or tips?Places to sleep:G

We have a rough itinerary round now:4 nights in Hamburg (that long because we celebrate NYE there)1 night in Poznan3 nights in Warszawa 2 nights in Łódź2 nights in Krakow2 nights in Brno2 nights in Prague 2 nights in Dresden Would you say from experience that some cities need more or some need less time? I need help getting to Istanbul from Zagreb.
Hi everybody,I am currently staying in Zagreb and I am leaving in two days (17-1-2023). I need to get to Istanbul by the end of the month due to a flight I have the on the first of February from Istanbul airport. I was planning to travel there through either Belgrade or Sarajevo and then Sofia. But this morning I found out that it isn’t possible to go to Sofia through Belgrade or Sarajevo. I found an alternative route through Budapest, Bucharest, Sofia and then Istanbul (if it’s possible/practicable I could skip Sofia and go to Istanbul directly from Bucharest). But here some problems emerge:firstly I only have three traveling days left, and I don't think that is enough to cover the entire journey. secondly I know how to travel from Zagreb to Bucharest. But not the rail planner app doesn’t show any trains from Bucharest to Sofia (in fact Sofia train stations don’t appear at all) or Istanbul.I am planning to stay a few nights in Budapest. Hopefully I can figure a way out to get to Istan
How to travel to Narvik
Hi,I'm trying to plan a trip through scandinavia by train. Now I see on the rail map that (with interrail?) I can't travel to a place like Narvik. When I enter this place in the travel planner I can travel to this station. Does anyone know how this works? Is the rail map not correct? Or does this destination perhaps not fall under interrail travel?
Hi!I from London, UK and am about to buy my interrailing ticket to travel around for 2/3 months around July/August time, before coming back to England and finishing my degree.I am writing this, simply, to ask for recommendations around Europe! I know it seems quite odd that I don’t have a set idea in mind where I would like to travel, but I am keen to simply explore parts of my mind and the world that I haven’t seen before. If anyone has any advice regarding sights to see, or things to do (preferably on the cheaper size), then that would be much appreciated!I am living in the UK, so I would have to board to Eurostar to either Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam (I think Paris will be my first stop), and would preferably like to go in a circle around Europe prior to coming back home.I have done research regarding train reservations and other, sort of, admin based things. I just would love to hear any recommendations from other travellers. Also, if anyone has any useful apps or such things that m
"No trains found" to Serbia
Hello, When I want to consult the train timetables to go from a country to Serbia (no matter the city), the site tells me that no train corresponds to my search. However, a search without any particular filter. Is this a problem with the site or is Serbia not included in the Interrail passes? Thank you for your help. I was in the process of planning my journeys but this is blocking me and I cannot continue my search.
Is Vaduz counting to Austria?
I would like to visit Vaduz tomorrow. I am from Austria and already used my home-country-travel day today. Now it says in my Interrail App that Vaduz is part of Austria instead of Liechtenstein. Does it mean i would need to use again my home-country-ticket? Or is it a mistake?
Van Polen naar Slowakije
Leuke interrailers! Groetjes!
Scandinavia or Eastern Europe as beginner?
Hello everyone,I’m planning my first Interrail trip next summer. I’m going to travel alone. It’s my first real trip abroad.I’m not sure which of my two planned tours is better for me.Trip 1:Copenhagen – Gothenburg – Oslo – Stockholm – HelsinkiTrip 2:Vienna – Ljubljana – Budapest – (Bratislava -) Prague – Warsaw – Krakow (Start ist in Germany)A trip to Scandinavia has been a dream of mine for a long time. But it is much more expensive than Eastern Europe. And I also want to see the Northern Lights once in my life, so maybe I should do this trip in another winter.Eastern Europe is much cheaper. Is it advisable to choose Eastern Europe as your first trip? Are there better alternatives for beginners? And another question: Would it be better to book the hostels in advance or is a spontaneous booking possible? I’m afraid the best hostels fully booked.
