Does anyone know why I’m seeing ‘ticket not available’ for the brig to venice portion of my trip? On the OBB site. It shows this for all sections into Italy from what I can see. The only way for you to get a reservation for this train is trough https://www.interrail.eu/en/book-reservations .It only costs 2€ extra. But at least you get to buy your reservation. I just had the same problem. The italiarail site and oebb.at are broken.Obviously the people here answering with long copy and paste answers haven’t really looked into this.
Here is some useful information from the experienced travellers in the Community regarding both planning, reservations and activation of pass and travel days. Planning The rail planner is normally not up to date, as it only is updated once a month, so to be sure of the time table you better check the timetable and availability on the websites of the national railways. The bigger national railways, like DB (Germany) SBB (Switzerland) and ÖBB (Austria) cover several countries. Reservations The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to use other ways to make reservations than the Interrail/Eurail website. You can look at the guide in the link: https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/how-to-get-reservations-105 If you, after having looked at the guide, have questions about how to make specific reservation, please give your travel details (departure date, time and route) preferably in a new topic, and you will get advice. Please note that I
Thanks this works. The only problem is that the times to switch trains is very thight (10 minutes max) and the App does not show where the trains are (at which train stations). The deutsche Bahn app for example shows this information. If the connection is tight then just take the earlier or later train. You don't need a reservation for the IC train so you just have to adjust your travel plan according to the train where you need a reservation (TGV/Thaly). The app is not a good place to look for info. You better use the DB app for that. Deutsche Bahn is not operative in Belgium and the Netherlands or France. But for some reason they really have info regarding this. Thanks I’ll look into this.
Common alternatives are: Thalys from Brussels (connect with intercity Amsterdam - Brussels). Availability is better from Brussels. TGV from Lille (connect with IC Amsterdam - Antwerp, change to Lille). Thanks this works.
