Actually, after a bit of experimentation I did find a way. I selected the “share as link” option on my iPad, from the 3 dots in the top right corner of the selected trip. I emailed the link to myself, then opened the email on my phone, selected the link and I was prompted to import the trip into the app. Bingo. Saved a lot of effort.
Hi apologies for hijacking this thread but we are booked on the same service (other direction) in a few weeks time, we have Interrail passes and have bought our passholder reservations through the Eurail site (2nd class). I was a bit disappointed that we were allocated seats on the lower deck. Is there any way at all of getting reallocated to the upper deck? According to this…https://eurail.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/articles/11757617383581?input_string=changing+allocated+seats+forit seems to suggest it might be possible to get them changed at a local ticket office, does anyone know whether this would be possible in one of the Paris stations? I’m guessing it might be worth a try anyway!
Yes I’m a uk resident. Sure I need to consume an outbound for my first travel day, however as I said I didn’t get this warning on my own pass. And the app already shows it’s an out/in day for both of us. For your pass, we don't see the line from My Trip with the date, where the green in/out would appear. What does it say in My Pass for in/out? I'd expect “1/2 used” for both of you. I just found that by deleting that journey and adding it again (identical details) to her pass only (I’ve got both trips on my copy of the app at the moment), I didn’t get the prompt to use and inbound/outbound journey and it seems to be added ok, but I’m very confused as to what’s going on, the app seems rather buggy… If you delete a journey from a travel day that uses an inbound/outbound journey, then that travel day will still use an inbound/outbound journey. If you then add a new journey in your country of residence, the app won't ask you again because you're already using an inb

Only Thalys seems impacted multiple days, and only for a couple of trains. I would not worry too much, since you’re not taking these. I can only advise to check again the day before travelling via the official channels (sncf and eurostar website). Thanks I’ll certainly be doing that, if anyone else has information I’d be interested to hear
I don’t seem to find any information on industrial actions that could disturb traffic on the 20th. Could be another action in other sectors than public transport though. Tomorrow 16th february, there’s a national strike, but even then a quite some trains seem to be available. https://www.sncf.com/fr/greve-nationale/mouvement-social-du-16-fevrier-2023 Keep checking the “disturbances” page of SNCF, information is mostly available two days before the strike. Keep an eye on the Eurostar website too, but in general international traffic is usually much less impacted. But I don’t find any sort of information of a potential strike the 20th. Next date in the books of the union is 7th of march. Where did you reserve your seat, via Interrail or a third party, like b-europe? Usually if your trains get cancelled you get an update of SNCF via mail. Does anyone know what notice the French trade unions are required to give of action? In other words if there’s no word now of action on 20th, but there
So I discovered this article which suggests that 20th feb might be ok, but does mention 16th and some other dates. Confused 😕 https://travelfrancebucketlist.com/train-strikes-in-france-info-tips/
I made reservations via Interrail. Here’s the news item that alarmed me…https://www.interrail.eu/en/support/travel-disruptions see “Train strikes extended in France until 20 February” 🤔
