If you haven't been to Prague, I would add that to the list. A beautiful city with good beer. In fact the only place where I can consider drinking beer. Yeah I’ve been there and I love the city.I added +/- 3 days in Brussels, and a layover/daystop in Liechtenstein. And removed Hamburg, Zurich, Innsbruck, and Sofia. Might remove Munich too. I think I could easily spend a month or two in Swiss alone so I’ll do that next time. Also added a day in Rotterdam and Luxembourg. I think the trip will be somewhat manageable now.
Thanks for the help. I dont have any exact dates yet except for the start. I have some estimates but I was thinking on booking the traintickets a three-four days ahead of the travelday. I was hoping on just booking the first two routes first, and then take it from there when I arrive in Barcelona. As for time of day when travelling I was aiming for departure times daytime 09.00-13.00 as this is normal hotel checkout times So far its like thisBarcelona - 3 nights, starting 5th of June.Nimes - 2-3 nightsNice - 3 nightsMilan - 3 nightsVenice - 2 nightsLjubljana - 2-3 nightsZagreb - 1 nightSplit - 2-3 nightsDubrovnik - 3-4 nightsBari - 1-2 nightsNaples - 4 nightsRome - 3 nights, ending somewhere around 1st of July.
Hi, Thanks @larsen From Split you could go by Bus to Dubrovnik and further to Montenegro (Kotor, Sutomore,Bar, Podgorica) and catch from Bar,Sutomore,Podgorica a train to Belgrade Means then Budapest - Lubljana - Zagreb - Split - Dubrovnik - Montenegro - Belgrade. I like this idea, but someone from Serbia posted on a another post that there might be special rules and difficulities getting from Montenegro to Belgrade? What city do I take bus to from Dubrovnik to Montenegro to catch the train? Also - i didnt find any sites showing direct route from Budapest to Lubjana, all the ones I found went trough Zagreb. Also didnt find any trainroutes to Split. *snip* Yeah maybe too many days in some cities when I look over it again. I’m thinking to just take my time and dont stress too much haha. Maybe something like this? I got told I cannot miss out on Thessaloniki and KalabakaGdansk, 1 nightsWarsaw, 2 nightsBerlin, 2 nightsPrague, 2 nightsBudapest, 3 nightsBratislava (/vienna), 3 nightsZagre
Hi, I tried and couldnt find these routes, but it would be the best to go to Belgrade from Zagreb, then I dont need to fly from Split → Zagreb → Belgrade. So from Budapest → Split → Zagreb / Ljubljana and then fly to Belgrade. Depends on the traveltime you may catch from Budapest a direct Nighttrain of Regiojet (quite cheap) or MAV (Hungarian Rail) to Split :) If you could rearrange the route, how would you have done it? Would you remove or add any days or cities? I couldnt find any routes to montenegro either. I’ve searched alot on thetrainline.com, omio.com and momondo.com and I couldnt see any better way to arrange the travel haha, its hard to find all of the options. Maybe some of the summer tickets does not show yet? Is there any booking app for the traintickets? Or should I just use the above sites? Or is there any site I shoudnt use?
