Yes, basically all night trains require an additional cost. This is the case no matter if you book it via the app or the train operator’s website (most of the time booking via the operators will be slightly cheaper). For this train, it seems to start at 33€ for a couchette reservation. On their site you can add the discount “Bérlet (pl.Interrail)”. I assume this is the Eurail discount as well since “pl.” means “for example”, and from my understanding there are no trains that accept only interrail or only eurail.
From what I can tell, you’re describing the same pass: the global continuous pass. Their reason for emphasising the “continuous” part for the flash sale is probably that these passes are the only ones included. If you were already planning to get the global continuous 1 month pass, this is a great opportunity to save some money :-)
@mcadv The passes are covered by DiscoverEU, so skipping the pass is not really an option. But I’ll consider buying this as a normal ticket and saving a travel day for later. We were planning on continuing from Split to Ljubljana with day trains, which looks reasonable in the rail planner app. Passing through Zagreb twice is not terrible, but not ideal. I’ll also look into opting for some place further north, like Rijeka/Pula/Koper.Thanks to everyone for the help!
