Hi Livia,I have looked into this last summer and back then there was only one train per day between Badajoz (Spain) and Entroncamento (Portugal). If I plan the trip now in the RailPlanner for May 14th, I see two connections per day. One leaving at 14:09 from Badajoz and one leaving at 19:41.I believe getting from Entroncamento to Lisbon is not a big problem. There are most of the time 1 - 2 trains per hour on that part of the journey. The main ‘issue’ is getting to Badajoz. On Sunday May 14th, there appears to be (only) 1 connection that guarantees you to get a train to Entroncamento in Badajoz (see image below). I’d advise to look into the schedules seperately (Madrid - Badajoz, Badajoz - Entroncamento and Entroncamento - Lisbon). This sometimes makes it easier to find possible connections, just make sure there's enough time to change. Hope you're helped by this.
Hola!!! Necesito reservar unos billetes a París desde hendaye, y en la página de reservas me piden un número pero que solo tienen los pases impresos. No se cómo hacer, por otro lado , he mirado Barcelona -paris y tampoco me deja reservar. Alguien me da alguna solución? Alguna idea de rutas chulas sin tener que reservar para 1 semana más o menos ? Gracias !!!! An English answer (as I don't speak Spanish). There are TGV's (High Speed Trains) running directly from Hendaye to Paris. About once per 2 hours. I’ve made a reservation by calling the SNCF Costumer Service. The number is: 00 33 1 84 94 3635 (press #85 for English). After I paid by Credit Card, they sent me the tickets. It costed €10,-. ---Traducido por Google:Hay TGV (trenes de alta velocidad) que van directamente de Hendaya a París. Aproximadamente una vez cada 2 horas. I’m really scared because I haven’t been able to book a seat reservation from Paris to Amsterdam on the 8th of July. Does this mean we have to buy a full fare ticket? I have made a reservation for the Thalys from Paris to The Netherlands by calling NS International. You can reach them via this phone number: +31 30 23 000 23.Maybe it's good to know that the price of a seat reservation is rather high, namely €30,-. Furthermore, they said on each train only a few seats are available for Interrailers. If they're sold out, you can not take the train anymore. An alternative would be to go from Paris to Lille first, which takes a bit more than an hour. There are more frequent connections on that line, so you might have more luck. I think it's best to call the SNCF for that trip. I paid €10,- for a seat on a TGV-train. If you can find a (cheap) ticket from Paris to Brussels at once, that's also fine. From Lille, you can take a combination of Regional and Intercity-trains to Brussels (about
Yes, its the local name what else in ESpana is named cercanias, local network around big cities. Note that all main estaciones have gates-normal tickets have magnetic stripes-your pass will not work to open them-have to ask at counter-if that is closed-bad luck. Passes are valid on ALL RENFE. Thanks for the answer! It's clear now. Just hope there will be someone at the counter. I’ll figure it out anyways.
I am travelling from Marseille to Barcelona in about two weeks, so I may be able to give some advice. I have considered booking the high-speed train connection between France and Spain, but this reservation was quite expensive, and apperantly it sells out rather fast. Therefore, I am using only regional trains. From Marseille, I am taking the train to Montpellier Saint Roche. From there, you can take regional trains to Perpignan and even further to Cèbere (French side of the border) or Portbou (Spanish side). From there, you can take a connecting regional train to Barcelona, which takes about 2,5 hours. For me this resulted in the following schedule (for Friday, July 8th).10.50 - Montpellier Saint Roche - TER 86983 to Portbou 13.45 - Portbou---14.35 - Portbou - Regional to Barcelona Sants 17.10 - Barcelona SantsFor train times for the French part of the journey, you can check the SNCF-website. For regional trains (TER), you don't need a reservation. For the Spanish part you also don't
