Good morning all, I am planning a trip through Romania this summer and I wanted to book seat reservations via the official website https://www.cfrcalatori.ro/en/. Do you know if that is possible to book both domestic and international trains with Interrail pass via Romanian railways official website? It does not seem possible to do so via Interrail website, and I can't find how to mention I possess an Interrail pass when trying to book on Romanian railways official website. I’ve read through a lot of the seat reservation posts and can’t find an answer, so here goesIs there a facility within the seat booking process to be able to specify a choice of seats during the booking process? Window seat, forward facing - those sort of optionsIt would be great if actual seats could be booked, but I expect that is a step too far I’ve just received my pass and tried booking seats on Eurostar and TGV Lyria. The seats are available as it takes me right through to payment. But there is no screen to provide an option to choose a type of seat
Missed connection train with reservation due to delays of previous train. Can I get a compensation/refund for the TGV I had to take instead?
Hi All,I’m travelling with an Interrail pass and I’m currently on the route Brussels —> Paris —> Barcelona. Original Plan Thalys BRU-PAR, reserved through Interrail reservation service ICN (night train) PAR-Latour de Carrol, reserved with Interrail reservation service Thalys got more than 2 hours delayed due to multiple issues, so I missed my connection last night for the ICN.I want to continue my journey to Barcelona today and got a “Titre de rupture de correspondence” at the Paris train station to allow me travelling onwards on the next connection to Barcelona. I’m now on this train (TGV), however they ask me to pay 54 euros for the seat reservation (even though I’ve to stand as there’s not even any seats left). What are my rights here for compensation/refund? As the cost is increasing rapidly when you’ve to make multiple expansive reservations.

Unfortunately, I entered the wrong birth date by accident and now there is a wrong birth date on my pass. I haven’t activated the pass yet but I want to go travelling in 2 weeks so it is quite urgent. i already send an inquiry to the customer service but did not get any answer. What can I do? I’ve read in multiple places that Global pass holders can travel between Italy and Greece for free on Superfast ferries (plus the fuel charge). However, whenever I’ve tried to book a ticket, I’m only able to get the 30% discount when I click on the Eurail discount. Is there any way to purchase a ticket where I get the full discount/I’m only paying for the fuel charge?
Hi!Me and my friend bought two Global Pass (mobile pass) and each activated them on their device. Tomorrow, 1st August will be our first day of travel. A few days ago I activated my Global Pass on IPad, subsequently I deactivated my pass and I reactivated it on my friend’s device who duplicated his trip and linked my pass to it. I would like to know if everything is ok and if the pass will work correctly.Thanks
Hello,I have contacted customer service for over 10 days now and I have not received a response. I will be travelling to Europe and using the pass next week, so I’m really worried about when they will help fix my issue.I bought 4 adult passes, 4 youth and 2 children but once I bought them the 2 children passes were not emailed to me and I just wanted to add the 2 child passes to one of the adult passes and receive help from customer service to fix this. I need this resolved as soon as possible, as we are travelling in a group and without the child passes I will not be able to take the 2 children with us on the train rides.Thank you,Mahiya

Hi community,What should I fill in the first two fields that I highlight in green in the following image, when I request that reservations be sent to a Hostel.For example, can I put the name of the hostel in the first field and my name in the second field?:First Field: Hostel YYYYSecond Field: My full names and surnames: Iván Fernando Peluha. As a shipping address I would put the Hostel in Spain.This is how it should be processed? I must validate this because if I fill it out wrong I can lose the reservation. It is our first time to use Eurail pass. After put schedule into the “Planner” in the app, there is no “Search” button under the “Filters”. So it is impossible to see the timetable and choose the departure time. What should I do with this situation? Thank you
I posted before about using a Eurail ticket as a UK citizen but living (for many years) in Hong Kong. As such, I have a UK passport and a Hong Kong identity card (but not HK passport). I will carry some supporting documentation of residency in Hong Kong (can get something from employer, and maybe government document). Hopefully that will be enough - I tried to get clarification from eurail but have not heard anything.I have 2 more questions that I would appreciate some guidance on.Do I enter the HK identity card number as my ID for the pass, or my UK passport number? The HK identity card is not a travel document (just an internal HK document), but if I use the UK passport on a eurail ticket I guess this could cause problems?! In reality, how often / strictly are you asked for identity? I am not doing anything wrong (as a current HK resident I am actually doing the right thing getting Eurail I believe) but I don’t want to face hassle and stress every time my documentation is checked. it is required that discounted ferries (for which no travel days are needed) fall within the period of validity of the ticket?
I live in Finland and the only way for me to get out of here is to take a ferry to Tallinn, Stockholm or Travemunde and use that as my FIRST leg of the journey. I know discounted ferries do not count towards travel days, but it is required that is falls within the period of validity of the ticket. To choose the validity in the app, I have to make the 1st day of validity a travel day which is the problem here. I need to take a ferry first - which would not use a travel day - but to make the ticket valid I'd need to make it a travel day and so waste a travel day. Is there any solution to this?
I bought a Interrail pass and I live in France, I will be traveling to Switzerland but in the residency I added Switzerland.I activated the pass, but as soon as I realised that I needed to use the outbound/inbound ticket, I didn't use it, and now it has been 2 weeks and I cant travel and no one is answering.If you could please tell me what should I do.Thaank you!
We had a trip planned on the 6th to go to from NL to Spain. On the 5th at 18:30 we get an email that the french rails are on strike the next day (our travel day) and we see that our train is canceled. Now it’s impossible for us to travel anymore because 3/5 trains were canceled and everything was fully booked everywhere.We went to the central station on the 6th very early in the morning to see if there’s any chance to get another connection but no success. We cancel the entire trip and we notice that we cannot deactivate the pass.The problem now is that we contacted interrail a bunch of times and after an initial reply from them they ghosted us. It’s been a week and no answer after multiple other attempts to reach them.This is really frustrating, we don’t want any sort of refund just a deactivation so that we can use the passes later. We never scanned our passes anywhere and everything is just going to waste.Any advice on how to proceed?
Hello! I have an eurail pass for my family of 6 and now in the process of making the seat reservations required. I am having trouble booking the train from Torino to Roma Tiburtina (FR 9583) on August 15 2022. There is a “Prices temporarily unavailable” message and I can not make my reservation. What does it mean? Is it sold out? Is it too early? What can I do in this particular case?.The same happens in alternative routes for this day, and in most of our 5 days of plan trips during 1 month. Hi.My interrail global pass is for 2nd class seats and we reserved our seat on multiple Trenitalia trains for 2nd class and our interrail email receipt says 2nd class under all the reservations but when we checked the tickets for the trains that we need to print out it says the service is 1° Business.When I looked on google it looks like business class is first class but our pass can only be used for 2nd class.What do we do can we still use the tickets???
Hey all, I had some trouble with the booking system for seat reservations. Finally I succeeded in booking my Avignon - Madrid seat reservations (which will take place on 17th of October so in 20 days), but now in the confirmation email I see that the address is incomplete: my house number has somehow disappeared. I have contacted support via facebook messenger but they haven’t gotten back to me. (I did receive a ticket number for my question)My question: has anyone succeeded in changing address details via contacting support, for paper seat reservations? Alternatively: if they take forever to get back to me, they will already have sent out the paper ticket to the address with a missing house number. Should I just cancel this seat reservation now and hope that I will receive the refund at some point when the paper seat reservation fails to deliver?
Friends, I purchased a 1st class pass. When I go to book a reservation because it’s required, I’m only allowed to purchase a 2nd class reservation. Two questions: Does that mean 1st class is sold out? If so, then how do I request a refund for my pass since I can’t really use 1st class if it’s not available?Many, many thanks!
Travelling in Romania with a mobile pass seems extemely challenging. Is this known by Interrail? Did I miss any warnings by Interrail?Is it even possible?We are travelling with 3 kids, and tomorrow we want to use a day. 3 trains that do not need reservation according to interrail. I am currently in Bucharest so I would like to go to the other direction ( Sofia, Croatia etc.)Do you have any suggestions on how to leave Istanbul and where to head next?It seems quite complicated to get to the direction of Montenegro / Croatia.
