Hi allNeed to prebook 1st classseat reservations for 2 people with global pass June 2nd Stuttgart to Strasbourg ICE 9572 which is TGV, with limited seats for interrail pass holders.Know its pricey but need to be sure of seats, for few reasons.Tried DBapp, CD website, OB app and SNCF. Phrases such as ticket not available or the button to book seat res only on DB is just not on screen. Is it just too early or are they sold out? All help appreciated, cheers
We have global 1st class passes. Will travel Naples-Florence April 8th. Appreciate advice ( cost and duration aside) on pleasantness or other notable advantages of choosing either:Intercity 590 Train to Florence Rifredi ( slower approx 3 hrs but cheaper seat resevations)VsFrecciarissa 9532 Train to Florence SMN ( quicker approx 5 hrs but dearer seat reservations) We are aware there is an option to avoid seat reservations altogether but it's a bit too slow approx 7 hrs but are happy to pay to keep the duration down. Thanks in advance from anyone familiar with these trains/ options. Cheers
Hi allWe want to travel Athens to Patra April 5th. We have Global pass (2 month 1st class)We know its a train from Athens to Kiato then Bus connection from Kiato to Patras. Both Interrail app and Hellanic train website state seat reservation is compulsory for bus section. We believe as this is a train-related bus transfer, the bus section should be free using our interrail passThere appears to be no Online method of making this seat reservation without paying. Is the ONLY way to make this seat reservation to go in person to the train station in Athens?Thank you
Hi allHoping someone on here may have done similar before and we can benefit from their experience! We wish to start our 2 month global pass starting approx 26th March by visiting / hopping between max 3 Greek islands, spending about 3 nights on each island. We are trying to plan the simplest short travel plan directly from one island to the next, ideally avoiding having to go to the mainland eg Piraeus in between islands. Around our starting dates, we can only fly from Ireland to Corfu, Athens, Chania or Santorini. Of those, our preferred ‘start points’ are Corfu or Santorini. (we have already visited Crete, Athens and Santorini). After the Greek islands, our next destination is Amalfi coast, Italy. So, after our Greek islands, we need to get to Athens, to fly to Naples, Italy or alternatively get to Patras or Igoumenitsa to ferry to Bari, Italy. Some inter-island ferries are understandably limited in frequency due to being low season so itineraries which are straightforward in the summer,
