Route from Patra, Greece to Bari, Italy is not shown on the Eurail map. Is it covered by the Pass?

I need to make my first outbound journey from Greece, my country of residence, to Italy, Bari. I notice on the eurail map that a route from Patra, Greece to Bari is not mentioned. However there is a route marked from Igoumenitsa to Bari. Does this mean that my global pass will not cover me for a trip from Patra but it is valid for ferries from Igoumenitsa?

Patra to Bari

I’m a Greek resident. Can I travel from Patra to Bari, Italy by ferry for free with the global pass or do I have to go to Igoumenitsa to travel to Bari by ferry for free?

Exchanging a eurail mobile pass for an Interail pass

My son has bought a eurail mobile pass but is a european resident. Should he have bought an interail pass and if so can he exchange the eurail mobile pass for an interail pass?
