Got my DB seat reservation, it doesn’t have a QR code or anything like that. Is that how it’s supposed to be? Just wondering if anyone has experience with DB reservations.
Anyone else having trouble reserving seats? Trying to reserve a seat from Amsterdam to Berlin, and it said that the leg was not available again but literally every single leg is unavailable. And it’s not even a seat that’s required. And why would it even give me the option to select the seat if when It’s time to pay for it, it tells me that it’s unavailable?
Made a minor typo for two reservations. One from Brussels to London and the other from Paris to Niceit’s just my middle name that’s missing some letters. It’s supposed to be ‘Nicolay’ but on the Brussels-London one I accidentaly typed ‘Nicola’ and the Paris-Nice I accidentaly put ‘Nicol’. Will they care? First and last name match btw.
Dumb question, I know. But I just wanna make sure. All of those dots are stops where you can get off, right? I need to take a train to Köeln from Berlin but I need to take the train that goes to Bonn-Bad and I just wanna make sure that I can actually get off in Köeln haha.
Gonna make a post with useful tips for interrail as I discover them seeing as how the site is sorely lacking in my opinion. My pass is a 1st class one so it will be from that perspective but I assume they will be relevant for all. Will update as I go along.Tip 1: If you have a first class pass then seat reservations are free in Norway.Tip 2: Best ways to reserve seats IMO is to either do it directly at the train station(the most stress free way I feel like, or use this page (https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/reservations/how-do-i-book-my-reservations) to figure out where to call if you can’t do it directly at the station. Calling is for sure the best way if possible though. For me, whenever I take a train somewhere, while I’m at the station I just reserve my seat while I’m there, easy, and you save time. Do note, seat reservations are not always neccessary, they will always let you on the train, but if it’s a very popular route then it might be good to reserve it. For example,
It doesn’t say that I have used up my inbound/outbound journeys, but I still get the ‘’no travel days left’’ message when I’m trying to book my outbound trip. Any explanation?Edit: In the app it said that it might be because my pass is expired but I literally bought it yesterday and it says in the app that it’s valid from June 10th to August 9th. It’s May.Edit 2: Don’t know what happened, it just magically started working. Issue resolved I guess?
Guessing it’s due to the high demand on the site? It was very slow when I was ordering and I see a lot of posts talking about how they can’t purchase their passes.
