Hi everyone, I am under the understanding you can use two travel days in your home country. I can’t see any restrictions for this, nor have I experienced any. But people in another discussion claim there are such conditions, e.g. you should go straight to a border town / must be a continuous journey etc. Are there really such restrictions and if so, where are they stated? Personally, I have used a remaining home country day to travel to another town and back and had no problem doing that, but people claim you aren’t allowed to do that…
Hi! I was thinking of starting my Interrail Summer by doing a trip in May, fly to London, then some days in UK (Scotland and back), Eurostar to Brussels (I was in Paris last year, so a different route) and fly back after 8/9 days from Germany or Poland where I can get a cheap flight. Any thoughts on best places in Scotland / elsewhere in UK as absolutely must visit? Do you think 1st class is worth the money in UK?
Hi everyone!I did some railing last Summer, two weeks with my now 10-year-old son and two one-week-trips by myself… I/we enjoyed it so much we decided to go again this summer, this time going by plane in the beginning and end. (Taking ferry+train from Finland both ways takes a lot of time). So, now we have a plane to Madrid on 3rd June and a plane to Copenhagen from Bucharest on the 14th June. What places do you recommend we visit in between? To narrow that down:We’ll probably take the night train to Romania (or indeed straight to Bucharest) from Vienna. So it’s maybe more about what places to visit between Madrid and Vienna, of course we can do something else if you give a great suggestion! Last Summer, we already saw a lot (Berlin, Munich, Rijeka, Austrian alps, Zurich, Paris) so I figured we’d go another route this year. Maybe Madrid-Barcelona-Marseille-Nice-Milano-Venezia? What are some of the great places to visit - also with a child - in those areas…? Regards, Ilkka
Hi! We have planned to continue from Berlin to Croatia on 23rd/24th/25th July, and I see there is a night train from Munich to Rijeka. It would be a fine alternative to catch this train to the other direction (Rijeka - Munich) on 30th or 31st July. However, it looks like all the trains are fully booked, at least there seem to be absolutely no couchette berths or sleepers available. Do you think they really are sold out, or is it just I don’t know where or how to look? Are all berths on sale already, anyway…?
When checking trains, some are “included” and some have a cost for reservation. However, also in the ones that are “included”, it says “seat reservations required”. I am confused. Do I need a reservation for an “included” connection. I have a first class global pass.
