Hello everyone:) I've done interrail a couple of times by now, always had great experiences, but I always had 1 rule: never travel through France. High-speed-trains there all need expensive reservations while in germany that's not the case (and traveling from Belgium it's thus important to save a lot of money). But having done interrail a couple of times by now I'm thinking about going somewhere else, like France, Spain and Portugal, might be a nice change of scenery. I was looking at the 'rail network guides' in the app and there is stated that TER and Intercity trains are without mandatory reservations in France. So I thought let's give that a chance:)!The problem here is when I look for connections: where are these trains? Turning off high-speed rail in the app gives no results. I don't mind slow travel, sometimes prefer it when I have the time, but I just can't find these trains? Has someone taken the trains in France with Interrail before or do some french people know how to find t
Hello :) So back in january I bought my 7days mobile pass because I didn't know yet when I would travel (and ofc Covid-19).Now I have a plan where I'll go and when but after following this forum for a little bit I have the impression that the mobile pass doesn't always work.. smoothly 😅. Tickets dissapearing etc. Is this really a big problem that happens a lot? How do I prevent this from happening? And what if it happens? Last time I used Interrail I used the Paper pass and that always worked 😂 (plus I had a souvenir hehe)Thanks for all tips and information you can give me :)
Hi! I’ve been searching for the best train connections on multiple sites (interrail site, railplanner app and DB) but now I wanted to check if these trains are included in the interrail pass. One of my trains (Triëste - Ljubljana) showed up on the interrail website as “Details unavailable”. It’s a RE train so I think it’s without reservations but it crosses the border (so I’m not sure anymore). I don’t want to book this train, just want to know if I can take it (without reservations). This also showed up for the S-bahn from Brennero Brenner to Innsbruck, but the interrail site (https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/trains-europe/trains-country/trains-austria) told me that it’s included. I checked the page for Slovenia (https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/trains-europe/trains-country/trains-slovenia) but the Trieste-Ljubljana route isn’t listed under the international routes. Does someone know if this train is included in the pass or not? Thanks!
Hello!I’m planning on going to Croatia on my trip this summer but I really want to see the Plitvice lakes. As far as I know we can’t get there by train (correct me if wrong). So I want to make it a day trip from Split, and after visiting I don’t want to go back to Split but to Zagreb instead.Does anyone know if something like this is possible (maybe done it yourself) and do you have to reserve your trip to Plitvice in advance? Any tips more are welcome! grts.
