Train connections & reservations

Hi! I want to travel from paris to barcelona and I am not sure whether I should be buying a one country pass or a global pass. One of the scheduled trains tells me that if I have a one country pass I need to buy the ticket separatelywhile the other scheduled time does not have any instruction whatsoeverI am a bit confused because the train travels across countries. I do not need a globa pass I am just taking this train

I am trying to make reservations for the pass I just bought. I’m noticing that there’s no direct trains from central Paris (Montparnasse) to central London (Waterloo or close to London Bridge). Will I need to book from Paris Du Nord (default) to London St Pancras (default) instead of the ones I mentioned above and from St Pancras to Brussels Midi instead of Brussels Central and then get a taxi? When I pick the station I actually want, it increases travel time by a lot more than a few minutes it would take to travel between those stations. Not sure what the best option is. thank you.

Hey,Some users on Twitter but also here in the community have the problem that they do not get informed about the fee to use the DB-ÖBB Eurocity trains to/in Italy. The railplanner app gives some time ago the (wrong) information that you need a reservation, now it writes nothing. The problem now is that DB-ÖBB started to ask an additional fee if you pay the fee on the train.Would be possible to add a notice like please check the special conditions to use this train or something like this? Because how we know only with an Interrail/Eurail Global Pass and an Interrail/Eurail One Country Italy Pass you have to pay, with an Interrail/Eurail German Rail Pass not.  On the Railjet trains Venice-Vienna, there is the compulsory reservation notice, but like via Brenner there is only a compulsory fee needed. Here is the information wrong about the compulsory reservation also on the website. If I am not wrong, you get via Interrail Reservation system only the fee and not a reservation. On the Euro

Hello! I'd like make reservations for my friends with mobile Pass (InterRail Global Pass) for trains in Italy. I added them to trip in my account, but I can't find Issuer (CIV) and Pass Cover Number on their tickets. Without them I can't make reservations. Where can I find them? Or how can I make reservations with mobile Pass? Moderator note: similar topic

Hello, I am trying to book a TGV between Marseille and Lyon for Saturday the 25th.However I get an unexpected error during the last step of the process and I don’t know why, could somebody help me out please ? 

Hello, normally I would contact customer service, but there isn't one. Just cruel. Maybe you can help me. I had to book a ticket through Austria "ÖBB" because it was not bookable. That worked wonderfully and I have the e-ticket. But how do I add the seat reservation to the portal? Thanks very much.

I tried booking seat reservations from Paris to Amsterdam but it isn't working it keeps popping up with  Prices unavailable No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable But this has been the same for all trains i have searched. doesn’t matter the country, filters, trains or times none are letting me book any seat reservations.

Had booked tickets from Oslo to Bergen and instructed to do a reservation. But Eurail Web and apps shown all trains on all days in March 2023 soldout??!! Tested other cities reservation and none are available except out of Noway.

Hey, I’m going inter railing for the first time this summer and seat reservations are becoming so confusing. I’m having 2 issues at the moment. I booked a train between Paris and Lyon and when trying to book reservations I can't find the specific train I booked but I need to buy a seat reservation why would this train not exist anymore? secondly I have another train booked between Lyon and nice, I can buy a seat reservation for one part of the journey but not the other and I can't buy it for any of the trains that day. is there still a way I can book this reservation not on the website as it won't let me or will I have to change my route,thanks in advance

I bought a 4-day travel pass for my son and I. For each day of travel, it appears ALL trains are sold out. How is this possible and what are my options? Traveling between London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Edinburgh. Some people have said that although the website says seats are sold out, once I get to the train station, I should be able to book the seats. Is that true? Or should I be looking for alternative ways to travel between the countries?

No idea however, how or where they can then be booked.

Hi,I’m planning to travel through Italy with Interrail pass during summer and I’m wondering if these “Regionale Veloce” trains require a compulsory reservation. According to the Interrail timetable (see the picture), it does require a reservation, but according to other sources, Regionale and Regionale Veloce trains doesn’t require a reservation. Another interesting fact is that it doesn’t provide the price of the reservation, so I’m really confused.Thank you for your answer.

We are trying to make a reservation for the train from BRUXELLES-MIDI (Belgium) to PARIS NORD (France) THA 9340 - THALYSand PARIS MONTPARNASSE 1 ET 2 (France) to BORDEAUX ST JEAN (France) TGV 8590 - TGV INOUIin both trains is a reservation neededbut both trains give the option not availableHow come? My niece and I decided to travel through Europe this fall and created a really fun route. One of our plans was to take the night train from Krakow to Budapest on November 10th. To our surprise it seems to be sold out everywhere, is that true? They don’t specifically say that it’s sold out but I get an error every time I try to make a reservation. It says we should be able to book 60 days in advance.If we can’t take this train the rest of our whole route doesn’t work... On cd.cz I get: “No train can be reserved for the specified date/route – this may be due to operational restrictions (e.g. closure activity).” On Interrail.eu I get: “Prices unavailable”When trying to contact CD and the Polish Intercity all I got was a direction on where to book tickets in general. Hope someone can help us figure this out :) This is our first time using Interrail...

Hello,In 2020 I won 2 interrail tickets. Unfortunately I got diagnosed with cancer shortly after. Treatment was long, and the consequences quite bad. So we still did not get a chance to use them.Now I have simplified a travel route, because with my phisical dissability and all the cancer treatments, I cant do a lot anymore. The plan was to fly to Malaga from NL on the 5th of March. Then 3 nights there, then the train to Barcelona on March 8th, 5 nights, and then the train from Barcelona to Paris on the 13th of March. And then back to NL. Ive read we can only book when we are on the station. Will 3 nights before be enough for Malaga -Barcelona and 8 nights before enough for Barcelona - Paris?Due to my condition, its not really possible to be flexible. So I kinda have to know if we will get seats on those trains. I really cant find anything that can tell me its going to be ok. If not, we will have to cancel these plans once again. And my tickets will no longer be valid. Thank you in adva

Hello everyone! I purchased a Eurail pass and booked seat reservations from London to Amsterdam a week ago with no problems. I am now trying to book seat reservations from Amsterdam to Warsaw. I was able to secure the seat reservations from Amsterdam to Berlin, but when I go to book them from Berlin to Warsaw, it gives me the following message: “No longer available. This seat reservation is only available as paper ticket and can't be delivered to you in time. Try booking in person at the station.” My main concern with this is that when I arrive at the Berlin station (with 2 hours in between trains) that all seat reservations will be sold out. I don’t want to spend money on actual tickets as I have gotten the pass and would like to use the seat reservations. I would appreciate help with this if anyone has had experience with the same thing in the past or has any advice that might help me! So yesterday I made a seat reservation from Barcelona to Lyon. I still haven't gotten any confirmation email, it is not even showing in the reservation overview but the payment was successful. What am I supposed to do now? I've already contacted the interrail team but any responses yet.

I bought the Eurail Italy pass and plan to take Lenardo express from Italy Taco Airport to Sorrento via Napoli Centrale.  Can I use the pass to Lenardo Express and the transfer from Napoli Centrale to Sorrento?  My trip will start in May 2024

I want to travel from Amsterdam to Basel with ICE 105 on Monday the 18th July at 08:08. The rail planner app states “seat reservation recommendation” but checking oebb.at and bahn.com it seems that the train is fully booked. As the app says that reservations are recommended but not mandatory, I believe I should be able to travel, but I don’t want to gamble. Can someone confirm or deny? I’m fine with moving around in the train if my seat gets taken.Thanks,

Hi,This is my first time Interrailing and while the opportunity is fantastic, I’m finding the organisation rather stressful and often nebulous. I am also doing my planning rather last minute as I decided to join someone on short notice so I don’t have a lot of time.I am planning a trip from Geneva to Tbilisi (Georgia), starting next Friday (14/07). I will be going from Turkey to Georgia by bus, but doing all the previous bits on my Interrail pass. Two questions :I need to book Budapest > Bucharest on the 15/07 either at 15h10 (ideal) or 11h10 (changing trains in Arad). The Interrail site is only offering me a paper ticket which I am too late to get. I have tried going through the MAV website, I found an Interrail discount (Bérlet (pl.interrail) ) so I thought I could book this way, however I noticed the prices given are the same with and without the discount…. Is my only option really to book in a train station ? I will have hours to do so in Budapest, how likely is it I may be conf
