A friend and I want to book a ferry from Bari to Patras with the Greek islands interrail pass with 6 travel days within a month. We read in the information guide about this pass that we can book a bed on the ferry with a first class pass only. If we try to purchase the Greek islands pass online we don't have an option for first class. How do we get a bed on the ferry? Do we need to choose this when making the reservation at the ferry company?
On July 21, my family and I will travel from Riomaggiore to Levanto, then on to Milan.Based on the current schedule, and what I see in Eurail.com, I’m fairly confident that we’ll be able to catch one of the frequent ‘Terre Express’ trains that go between La Spezia and Levanto.Does anyone know when the ‘Terre Express’ schedule will be extended beyond June 11, to include July 21?The impression I get from Eurail.com, and some posts in the Community is that it’s not possible to reserve Terre Express seats online. Is that true?As I understand it, our Eurail passes will allow us to board free of charge. But will we have to first show our passes at the station ticket window?
My husband and I are coming to Europe for 2 weeks from US, December 16. We will need to have our first train travel day on December 19. I know the new timetable is not out for December 12 and on. Does anyone know when that new timetable will be out? We have the 5 day travel pass. I was reading that you can book through the actual train sites? Is this true? I’m not sure what train sites we would need to go on. We want quicker trains. Going from Venice to Rome to Lucerne to Paris to Amsterdam to London. I’ve done the trains between Amsterdam, Paris, and London before but not booked myself before.
I’ve tried several times now to book a reservation for a train from Hamburg to Copenhagen on 8th-9th August, leaving just before midnight and arriving just before 7am. The seat is showing up on the search results unlike fully booked seats on other trains where there’s a message that the price is unavailable. I can add the seat to my cart, but at the last page before payment I get an error message. Why can’t I book the seat? Is this a problem with the Interrail website or have all the seats been fully booked? Thank you if someone can help!
HI guys, just read lots of posts about not being able to book in advance seats on trains going from France to Spain and back! We’re travelling this weekend but haven’t really planned out our journey yet. I thought that was the whole idea of the ticket. Does anyone have any up to date advice…..?
Hi.My interrail global pass is for 2nd class seats and we reserved our seat on multiple Trenitalia trains for 2nd class and our interrail email receipt says 2nd class under all the reservations but when we checked the tickets for the trains that we need to print out it says the service is 1° Business. When I looked on google it looks like business class is first class but our pass can only be used for 2nd class. What do we do can we still use the tickets???
Hello. How can I reserve a seat in Eurostar with the Eurail Pass discount? I know that it can be done in Eurail website and b-europe, but for some reason the are no trains for May 30th in any of these sites. Why there are trains all May but just that day the tickets are sold out? Eurostar have trains for that day but I don’t know where to use the code. Thanks for your time.
I am going to be traveling through Italy this September, and I purchased a Eurail Pass since I would be taking highspeed trains wherever possible. Problem is, on the Eurail website, there are no options for highspeed trains after Sept 19th. However, when I check the Trenitalia website for dates after Sept 19th, there are dozens of highspeed trains. And I can't get a phone number for customer service for the Italian side of things. Has anybody had any experiences like this?
When I wanted to add this train to my trip I was shocked that this train is not in mobile RailPlanner. It always says I have to go to Milano Central, but this train goes exactly from Porta Garibaldi to Roma.If I type trip from P. Garibaldi to Roma (on 27.7.2022) there is no train 797.Am I just too fast? Thanks
Over the last few days I have been trying to make reservations for a TGV trip from Paris to Lourdes for the end of May using my mobile Global pass on the Eurail site. I am presented with a few options for the days I am looking to travel. I select an available trip to add it to my cart, go to checkout, verify billing and traveler details, and when I go to Review the Order I am told that one of the legs of my journey is no longer available. The trip is direct so that is only one leg that I have in the cart. I have tried different times and days but I keep receiving the same message. Is there a problem with making TGV reservations currently? Is there some other way to make these reservations without being in France and going to a station?
Hi,Can someone please help me? I have a global pass. Eurail is showing no availability for London to Amsterdam on May 2. However, when I go to Eurostars website they are showing direct routes available. However I don’t see an option on Eurostar website to enter my pass to only pay the reservation fee. It wants to charge me as if I don’t even have a pass. I need to book this asap.
Train is full: Is their a waiting queue for seat or sleeper reservations, in case they get cancelled?
There is a November 3 sleeper train leaving from Zurich to Vienna at 21:40 and arriving at 6:34 that looks to be completely sold out. Cannot even reserve a seat, let alone a sleeper, which is what I wanted. Is there a waiting queue for those who want a seat or sleeper reservation such that if a person possibly cancels a seat or sleeper reservation, I can come in as an alternate, akin to an alternate Olympian or a player coming off the bench? Or, this is basically a dead-end. Once it’s sold out, it’s done and just move on?I tried OBB, SBB, DB, etc. Nothing. I tried checking to see if I can a seat or sleeper reservation leaving from Vaduz, Lichtenstein to Vienna and that was sold out, too. It might be the same exact train and Vaduz is one stop along the path. I could be wrong.---In the meantime, I’m going to reserve 14:40 and 16:40 seat reservations from Zurich to Vienna. 15 Euro business class seats for a total of 30 Euros. Business class seats include seat reservations. Why two differen
I (18 years old) want to go to Valencia with my mother, she said that the plane was easier but I want to travel with high-speed rail for many reasons (relaxed, better seats, no airport hussle, great views when traveling, less carbon emmissions, etc). Since the normal tickets are €800 for Amsterdam-Barcelona and Barcelona-Amsterdam I think interrail for 4 days is the best option. The planned dates are:june 23 Amsterdam-Paris and Paris-Barcelonajune 24 Barcelona-Valenciajune 27 Valencia-Barcelonajune 28 Barcelona-Paris and Paris-Amsterdam Now for the reservations, Im a bit confused.I think I can make reservations for Amsterdam-Paris and Paris-Barcelona (and return) with the reservation tool from Interrail but it also says somewhere that you need to do it up to 90 days in advance, its only 50 days until our trip. So can I still make reservations? And are they digital or paper? Now for Barcelona-Valencia (and return) it seems that you can only get reservations at a trainstation in Spain. S
So i am using the rail planner app to book my trains and keep track off the ones i wanna catch, but I don’t understand if the time that appears in the app is the local time of the countries. For example i am booking a train from portugal to spain, the departure time and arrival are in what timezone in this case ? Because they have a 1h time zone difference so if i leave portugal at 4 and catch a 2h train i arrive in spain at 6 portugal time but 7 spain local time. How should i book the trains ? Should I look at the time from the departure countries time zone or the destination.
Dear community, i am very upset. We bought the Greek Island Pass 6 days, long time ago in orther to planify our holidays with time and to avoid complications. From more than 4 weeks we are trying to make a reservation using our pass with the only company that has service to Lemnos (Blue Star Ferries). We phoned several times, it’s very difficult to be attended and almost impossible to make the reservation with the pass, when we finally thought it was done, but they made only the booking for the car (obviously not included on the pass) the reservation for us was for an other day! When we finally could cancelled it we couldn’t make another reservation for the day that we have our car, maybe just our car will go on holiday. The problem is that by phone they say that our pass is not valid for the 5th of August, out of date they say (it is for one month and we start on the 3 of August!!) online it is impossible to. They told us to talk with Interrail. We sent more mails to the ferry compa
Hi there, I’m looking to book a one month interrail pass and am wondering if my journey from Scotland (my home country) to London and then onto the Eurostar to France would count as one outbound ticket and be included with the pass or if I would have to pay for a separate ticket to get from Scotland to London first ?
Hi!I’m travelling from Holland to Sweden soon and reserved seats quite some time ago for the direct train from Hamburg to Copenhagen. When I look for the itinerary in the app or online, I get very different results then I did when I reserved the tickets. On the DB and NS website, my planned itinerary is still available. Is this because the train I reserved is full? Can I still take this train even though the connection doesn’t show up on the website/app?Many thanks!
Hello all, On this page, it is said that the pass holders can travel by bus to Prague from Munich or Nuremberg (see the screenshot) : https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/trains-europe/trains-country/trains-germany But I can't find more information, it doesn't appear on the page "benefits". And when I plan a "Munich-Prague" trip with the timetable, there is no bus. How can I have more information and book a seat ?And is it only for the Germany pass holders, or also for the global pass holders ? Thank you !
I saw on the inter rail train finder that there is a direct night train (non sleeper) running from Amsterdam Centraal at 22:34 getting into Berlin the following morning at 05:52 (running regularly but I specifically wanted to take it on 26 June). I can't find this train on the inter rail app or on any other train service timetables, is it a mistake? Are there only daytime trains available? Don't want to turn up at the station late at night to find it's not running and have to try find accommodation, wouldn't really bea great start to my trip!
