I just read that Italy has extended it's covid mask rules: still need to wear a mask until late September. On the forum I also read that this means that sleeper/couchette is for solo use only and that it's cheaper to book last minute in trenitalia than through Interail. (On OBB no availability for the dates I'm looking at) Question:Current price siracuse-rome 43€ for couchette on Interail (July)..-> are couchettes shared again then? Meaning masks on while asleep? If not, seems like a great deal, 43 for a private couchette. Vs high cost of private sleeper
How can I reserve seats from Milan to Lugano on Sunday 10th July at 11.10 (Eurocity)? I can’t do it on the oebb.at website. There are tickets available at trenitalia.com but how do I make seat reservations only? I can’t see where to put that I have an Interrail global pass.
Hello I’m gathering information for a trip I’m planning to take with my husband in late September into October - travelling from London, through France and into Spain and Portugal. We have global continuous passes (1 month). I know that there are some RENFE reservation issues but that one route to booking reservations is to go via DB phone line, armed with train numbers. I have the excellent European railway timetable which includes train numbers. Does anyone know if these will be the ones needed to book reservations (or is there a RENFE timetable change?) Does anyone know if all the trains can be booked now? I think some might not be available to book until neare the time but I am keen to book Eurostar both ways and the big France into Spain; Spain into France tickets before they sell out. Perhaps I need to do my booking in a few batches We will be travelling as a pair and want to have reservations together, obviously we have two seperate passes. Slightly stupid question, but is it ea
Looking for some help. Have a 5 day travel pass. And so far have spent two travel days, one on high speed trains (which I had to buy a reservation for and did so through the inter rail website) and one on regional trains (which has meant I haven’t had to buy reservations as they have been included). My next trains need a reservation. However, they are unable to buy through inter rail website (it says ‘n/a’ on the booking platform) The alternative option I’m given, is buy them at a train station. My question is: if I buy a reservation at the station, will it be full price? And if it is full price, I don’t understand what the point of the inter rail pass is. I thought the inter rail pass would give me either free or cheap train fares. Surely if I buy in the station that wont be the case. Any help to clear up my confusion would be greatly appreciated. Greetings,Used tickets.oebb.at to get by night train all the way from Zurich, through Budapest (Hungary), to Bucuresti (Romania) with the goal to reach Istanbul. However, having issues trying to figure out how to get to Istanbul from Bucuresti. Would love to take a night train from anywhere (Sofia to Istanbul, etc), however if not an option a day and multi-day trains are absolutely welcome. We love trains so do not mind an adventure (have wife and kid with us so sleeping in a hotel/motel, train station probably no go).. Any suggestions how to book? Any cities to which Istanbul trains are confirmed to run? Any problems booking in person at the train station (if the only option) and return trip back from Istanbul?Any other advise, links, etc? I’ll search in the meantime as it appears the topic is popular - no luck so far though getting an answer. Eurail.com does not appear to work to search for Istanbul train tickets.. Thanks!George
Im travelling europe and will end in Nice. Im trying to reserve a train journey (Nice-Stockholm) so i can travel home to Stockholm and be home by July 24th. When i try to reserve it says "prices unavailable temporarily" and has done so for many days now. How do i reserve seats? Does this mean there are no seats left? We are two people traveling.
Hello, I was wondering something. I booked a ticket on the 4th of july for the Amsterdam to London Eurostar. If I decide to spend a little time in Rotterdam, will it be a problem if I board the Eurostar in Rotterdam and not in Amsterdam ? Thank you again for your help, and have a nice day. Sylvain
I can’y make a seat reservation for a specific train destination via the interrail apprication. It’s impossible ro book a trip on Frech SNCF because you can not fill in tjay you have an interrail pass (only specific SNCP cards and passes are accepted). I asked SNCF and they answered go to the train station and book it there.This means that Interrail sells passes but you can’t book tickets on their application for some trains/destinations. It means also that SNCF is in the interrail program but you can not book online on their application. It means also that I will have to travel 80 km back and forth to order our tickets. Is there another possibility to book online tickets in France with interrail pass without having to travelby bus to the nearest (small) station only to be told, perhaps, that it is not possible in that station and that I must go to another (larger) station.Nice service that Interrail prigram!
Well I just got an email from Interrail about railway strikes in France tomorrow. And unfortunately I have to travel in the country tomorrow. Does anyone have information on (or know where to find info on) exactly what trains are affected. I tried SNCF’s website but came up short. Is it both TGV and TER? Does the strike start after a certain time tomorrow etc?
Hello! My name is Carolina and I can´t seem to find a certain journey. When I was planning my trip in the Rail Planner app I added a journey from PRAGUE HLAVNI NADRAZI (CZECH REPUBLIC) at 10:34 PM to BUDAPEST-NYUGATI (HUNGARY) at 8:20 AM. This journey required seat reservation so I had to make a reservation in the website, but, unfortunately, when I searched the same journey I can’t seem to find it.
When attempting to complete a seat mobile app seat reservation from Naples-Venice 8:09 01/07/22 I am able to select the reservation I want and fill in billing address. However when pressing the fill in passenger details to get to the next step either nothing happens or it takes me back to the home page. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Hello !I wonder whether or not a travel in ferry is counted as “ a day” with a “10 days in 2 months” global Interrail Pass ? For instance, if we are in Bari (Italy) on July 13th and we go on Patras (Greece) on July 15th with no additional train this day, do we still have one day less due to this ferry trip?Thanks a lot in advance for your help !Sophie
Hello,I have ordered my first reservation from Copenhagen to Stockholm (e-ticket) and Oslo to Bergen (paper ticket) on 2nd July through the interrail website.The payment succeeded and I got an order confirmation that stated that i would receive the tickets within 30 minutes. It’s more than 4 days and i still haven’t received any email. Also the tickets are not visible in my account.I have sent a support ticket but they try to reply within 2 days but they haven’t. I am shocked that there is no telephone number available either. Do you have any tips for me how to reach out for help? Thank you in advance, Rish
Hello everybody, I have a question since im a foreing traveler from america and here the trains route are different, Im planning my vacations on Eurepe and one of my doubts are about the nightjet Train NJ420 that departs from innsburck to Amsterdam and it has a lot of stops, and one of them is on munich, in my intinerary I going to be on Munich and then I will go to amsterdam, This night train has a stop at 22:30 in munich, my question or doubt is, If I reserved a ticket to this NJ420 night train, I can take it on munich without the need to take it on Innsburck? And… also, the Stops on the night trains routes can be use to get off and board the train? thats my main question, since if that is possible I can plan my intinerary best.
Hi there:This is my first time trying to travel by rail within France. We have our 8 days France rail pass. I have the Eurail app with the the trip all set up, when I try to make seat reservation, I can’t seems to be able to click on 1st class seat or 2nd class set to make my reservation.My travel start day is 18/July. Don’t think there is a restriction to book early.Does any one face similar challenge?I was hoping I will have luck using the web site to complete my seat reservations.But, the “My trip” trip I have set up in the Eurail mobile App just can’t be found in my Eurail web accountl. I have been trying to make a seat reservation from Zurich to Paris (TGVLyria) direct train for July 26th departing at 3:35pm. I am able to add this reservation to the cart, but cannot proceed further when I click on the link “Continue to Traveler Details” clicking on this does nothing and takes me back to the main page. I have tried multiple browsers and the app on my iphone same thing happens. Can anybody please help and let me know what other way I can secure this booking?When I click the link “Continue to traveler details” it tries to load something and then goes to the page below and shows my Cart empty.
Good morning all, I am planning a trip through Romania this summer and I wanted to book seat reservations via the official website https://www.cfrcalatori.ro/en/. Do you know if that is possible to book both domestic and international trains with Interrail pass via Romanian railways official website? It does not seem possible to do so via Interrail website, and I can't find how to mention I possess an Interrail pass when trying to book on Romanian railways official website. Good Afternoon,I bought a pass a couple of months ago, put in my trips Paris → Munich, Munich → Cologne, Cologne → Paris. The 1st part of the trip is Paris to Munich has a stop and train change in Mannheim and it needed a seat reservation. I booked it online on my computer, have a confirmation and its good to go, but It doesn’t have anything about Mannheim to Munich on the pass. Not sure what to do now? Since it didn’t need a reservation do, I just get on the connector train and sit anywhere? Loaded up the app and it has my eurail pass but none of my booked seat reservation. Do these two systems not talk to each other? It says I need my eurail pass and my tickets, any help would be greatly appreciated,Marc
Beste medereizigers, Ik sta op het punt om een interrail-kaart aan te schaffen, die ik over ongeveer 10 dagen in gebruik wil nemen. Ik heb de reis al uitgestippeld. Kan dit? Komt het voor dat de trein vol is, of alle gereserveerde stoelen weg zijn?In dat geval, heb ik een probleem, ik ben niet flexibel hierin. Jehart
Every time I try to book a train (Paris → Stuttgart) 20th July 10.55am I have absolutely no luck. I can select the seat reservation, add it to my cart and then when click on ‘confirm traveler details’ it redirects me back to to home page (and my cart is empty). I’ve tried it with other reservations to see if it’s just that leg that isn’t working/no longer available (no luck same for anything I try to book). I tried changing browsers, clearing cache and cookies. Still no luck! And before anyone suggests, yes I went to the train station and called and each time they offered me a reservation price of 60 euros (as opposed to 12 euros on the eurail booking portal). So that’s not a solution to what seems to me simply to be a bug with the Eurail website. Has anybody else had the same problem and had any luck getting around this? (I’ve been trying for two days now without any luck).
Hello! I have made a seat reservation in DB webbpage (www.bahn.com/en). You can book seats via clicking the link “Seat only (no ticket)” on their booking page. But now I’m not sure is this is valid with my Interrail global pass. Anyone knows anything about this? It’s also a cheaper than on the eurail page, so thats makes me unsure. /Christopher
