We will be visiting our daughter who is studying abroad. My husband and I bought global passes and are trying to get from Lisbon to Madrid on December 13. However, I am never able to see any trains scheduled after December 10. Why is that? This is stressing me out, as I like to have my plans in place. Thanks for a response.

There’s a Europe wide timetable change on december 11th. Some companies are slow updating their itineraries and the rail planner from Eurail only updates a couple of times a month.

Best use the rail planners from the local companies (CP and RENFE) - although you might want to cross the border by bus, since railway connections between Portugal and Spain are of poor quality.

There aren't many possibilities by train between Lisbon and Madrid and they're listed here:

I don't expect any changes from 11 December but do verify.
