It’s been a while since we’ve taken a group of students to travel abroad.  We’ve not booked with Eurail before, does anyone know the best way for 22 people to travel via train:
May 19th - Frankfurt to Zurich
May 21 - Zurich to Salzburg

Can we purchase tickets or are we required to get passes?

Thank you,

Betty

You don’t need passes for this. Contact DB German Railways for these group bookings. I expect they can do both of them - otherwise approach SBB Swiss Railways for the Zurich Salzburg.

Thank you for this information, I really appreciate it.

Betty

For Frankfurt - Zürich, you can buy a group ticket online via the normal DB website:

https://reiseauskunft.bahn.de//bin/query.exe/e

For Zürich - Salzburg, I suppose you use the direct train, you can contact ÖBB (Austrian railways):

https://www.oebb.at/en/reiseplanung-services/kundenservice/gruppenanfrage

Or alternatively SBB (Swiss railways):

https://www.sbb.ch/en/help-and-contact/produkte-services/leisure-group-offers/group-travel.html#anchor2

(SBB only by phone or at a ticket counter)
