Hi. We have 1st class global Eurail passes. On our first Thalys route reservation (through eurail.com) we are offered 1st class — Pass (AC) Premium and 1st class — Pass (HB) Comfort, both for the same reservation price. Is Premium the same as Comfort, except for food is offered? Is there an extra charge for the food, collected on the train? Is there any downside to choosing Premium? (I tried the Thalys site but couldn’t figure it out).

I think not, but you could ask directly Thalys via Social Media or costumer service.

Eurail and InterRail Pass | Thalys Thalys says 1st class is Premium and Confort. It should be fine.
