Travelling by train

Hi there,I tried to organise a trip from Antwerp (Belgium) to Amersfoort (Netherlands). It shows on the last part of the trip as 'BUS34230‘. But next to it shows ‘Train’.Does anyone know this is BUS or TRAIN?Thanks for the help!Xufang 

We have 1st class reservations on the train….through the Chunnel...from London St. Pancras to Paris.  We are Canadians and are wondering where we go through customs and immigration and, if at the beginning of the trip, how much time to allow?  Also….as first time users of the European train system...how much time to arrive in advance at the station?

Hi there,we want(ed) to go from Brennero to Roma on Sunday, 19/05/2024. Now Trenitalia will go in strike that day. We have a One-Country-Pass, but many trains are not included in this pass.Will it be possible to take these not included trains, if the included trains won’t run? And what about our (really expensive) seat reservatoins? We are travelling with a child. In short: Eurail is far more expensive than other forms of travel through both France and Spain due to the additional fees. It is also extremely inconsistent. I know of multiple friends, and myself, who have been completely screwed by last minute cancellations in France. It will be the worst part of your trip and the most expensive by far. Organize your own travel through these countries.In detail:Eurail is fine through Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium.I would recommend using it for those countries.In France and Spain (Spain actually being where I live) it absolutely sucks. The additionally fees to travel through France, on the very few trains that are actually available to eurail customers, can nearly double the price of the trip. Hello!I am planning to visit Berlin, Croatia, Italy and France next year. I assume I need a passport for this, but what about passport control? Is it like in airports where they check your stuff at the counter and at the security? I am also going by boat to Croatia, departing from Italy. Does anyone know how and if they will check my passport at the port?

I am from UK and have schengen visa for short term. I am travelling 1st time via interrail pass. When we go from one schengen country to another schengen country via train, is there an immigration check done while entering that country e.g.- from barcelona(spain) to nimes (france) to lyon (france): will there be an immigration/passport check and stamp at each schengen country and do we need to consider having additional hourse in between legs in that case?Please help.ThanksPriyanka

Hi. Having difficulty finding the location of train seats.  I am booked on the EuroCity 379 from Berlin to Prague and have been assigned seats "Pl. 93 94, 2 middle, table".  Are these aisle seats that are part of a table for 4? The only seat layout I can find shows 93 and 94 as aisle seats but they are not part of a table setup.  Thanks for any help/guidance! 

Not yet activated our passes.Have seats reserved for travel to Amsterdam on 7th March. Now need to change to May.Eurostar say as booked through 3rd party (Eurail) I have to get them to change date. Eurail just send me link back to E* site where they show as £20 per seat to change date on same time train and £140 for later train. I feel I'm just on a loop Help!Thanks

We are a couple that are planning to do a trip around Europe with our puppy, even if he is a young puppy, he will not be able to travel as a "luggage" due to size. Are there any countries we should avoid? Which countries are best for traveling with a pet? We dont mind paying, we just want it to be as hassle free as possible.

Hello, I would like to take a train from Salzburg to  villach  and villach to venice but there is only 6minuts of transfer between the two trains, so I’m scared to miss the train from villach to Venise, because we don’t know at all the train station of villach and 6minuts of transfer seems very short.

Hello all, Does anyone know if there are lockers or luggage storage place at the station of Myrdal (Norway) ? I know there is a café, called Rallaren, that offers luggage storage, but it seems to close already at 6pm. I need storage until 7pm. Thanks for anyone who can help! Kind regards

Is it possible to use your 1st class pass to access the LNER 1st class lounge at King Cross in London without having used an LNER train? Their website says that All Line Rovers give access to their lounges, but I am not sure if an Interail pass is treated the same as that? Thanks
