Question regarding mandatory Seat Reservation in DB and SNCF trains with Eurail Global pass.
Hi Everyone, I will be traveling this summer from Copenhagen to Hamburg (Deutsche Bahn or DB), Hamburg to Strasbourg (DB), Strasbourg to Toulouse (DB + SNCF), and finally Toulouse to Barcelona (SNCF + R3). I have the Eurail Global pass. My question is, in DB and SNCF trains is seat reservation mandatory? In the Eurail application, it shows “reservation required” on most trains, which is strange, because when reading through the https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm#eurail-interrail-reservations-service it seemed that except for some high-speed trains like TGV, etc seat reservation is not mandatory although is advised. One can just hop on, choose an empty seat and show the pass. I would hate to land in problems while traveling and pay hefty fines. It would be great if some of you could help me with your experience. Thanks a bunch!Koyel.
Pass connected to wrong trip
Today my trip was suddenly no longer connected too my trip with name XEurope-CK. I went to my pass to connect it again to this trip but apparently I did something wrong as it connected to the standard ‘Mytrip’. Does anyone know how I can disconnect from this wrong ‘Mytrip’ so I can reconnect again to the proper XEurope-CK?As I am already traveling for 2 months I do not want to start a new trip. Thanks for helping out.Kind regards,Karel

A specific case of outbound and inbound :D
Hi everybody !I've read a lot of topics on the subject, but I haven't found a precise answer to my question. I’m French, and before leaving for the rest of continental Europe, I want to take a trip to the UK. The first trip from Paris to London will logically count as an outbound. I've understood that. But then, do I have permission to do London - Brussels afterwards to continue my journey? Won't this London - Brussels (via France) automatically end the validity of my pass, as I'll have returned to France a second time?To sum up, are these outbound/inbound journeys really outbound and inbound or simply days of travel in our country of residence that can be used in any way, even just by crossing it without stopping? (In the end, I plan to return to France on my own)Thank you all in advance for your answers!Arnaud
Booking Tickets in Spain
How can I make seat reservations from France to Spain? I called the number they list and they say you have to do it at the train station, but online the route says reservations required and you must book more than 24 hours in advance. How can this be booked to ensure I get seats and does anyone have advice for trying to get trains in July?

Travel Buddy in August
Hi, I am looking for someone (or more people) to travel with me in August. I want to use my Interrail-Ticket to travel and see the north of Europe. I am from Germany so I'll start there and my first stop would be Copenhagen in Denmark. After that I want to travel to Stockholm and Oslo. I would like to not travel alone, as I am a woman, and as two or more people it's always more fun. So if that sounds cool for you, please write me and I'd be happy to have company. The tour is not set yet so I am open for ideas and time changes. You can send me a dm on insta @a_na734Love Anna
Can't find any trains that match ...
I would like to book trains to go from Paris to Kolari (Finland). The planner answers “Can’t find any trains ...”It looks weird because on the map download from the Interrail website, I can find the way.Do I have to use an other website (Finland or Sweden Railway Companies websites ?)Thank youFranck
Reservations about reservations.
My hunch is that in some contexts the reservation coverage of the Eurail service is comprehensive and in others it's rather cursory – and so perhaps simpler for the pass holder to deal with the local rail companies directly. I hope I am wrong here. Eurail hive mind, please enlighten me! A bit of background to my challenge: I’m a seasoned traveller of more than 30 years, and have done multiple multi-week overland journeys predominantly in Asia, to locations in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Tibet and Nepal. Hong Kong-Lhasa and Bangkok-Shanghai stand out as the most memorable so far. I’m currently travelling overland solo between my home of 25+ years (Bangkok) and my place of birth (London) via what is being dubbed the Iron Silk Road. What is predominantly a rail route has taken in train journeys through Thailand, Laos, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan (again), Azerbaijan, Georgia and now Turkey. I’ve had to wrangle more than

Need help for my Europe trip with Global Pass
Hi guys,This is my first time planning a trip in Europe. I am considering buying a Global Pass for 3 people (1 Youth, 2 Adult). Below is my planned schedule (pretty detailed, i guess):12/8: Frankfurt - Mannheim 15/8: Mannheim - Frankfurt - Paris 18/8: Paris - Zurich 19/8: Zurich - Interlaken 20/8: Interlaken - Brig 21/8: Brig - Milan - Pisa 22/8: Pisa - Rome 24/8: Rome - Venice 25/8: Venice - Munchen 26/8: Munchen - Berlin 28/8: Berlin - Stralsund 31/8: Stralsund - MannheimAccording to this schedule, is 5-day pass appropriate? How I should use it? How many days does it take from the pass if I took train overnight? For some long train, can I use ICE or other high-speed train for faster travel?Especially, how is this pass in Switzerland? (Since I find tickets there are significantly expensive)And can I use it on days travelling inside a city?I am new to this. Hope I could receive help from you guys and this is clear enough. Thanks in advance.
Which Global Pass to take ?
Hi everyone,I’ve got a problem to choose the pass for my travel (it’s my first time trying this kind of travel). I’m planning on travelling with a friend, and the trip would be the following : first, we would take a night train from Marseille to Vienna (with correspondences) the night of the 15th/16th July. After, we would take a night train from Vienna to Berlin (a direct) the night of the 18th/19th July. After, we would take a night train from Berlin to Coppenhaggen (with correspondences) the night of the 21th/22th July. Finally, we would take a night train from Coppenhaggen to Marseille (with correspondence) the night of the 25th/26th July. But we don't know which pass to take ?Sometimes, the website told us it's the 4-days Global pass a month, on other times, the 5-days Global pass a month. So, which one should we take ?Also, does this pass work when we are planning to take only night trains, sometimes with correspondences ? Thanks you for your help and advices :)Have a good trip every
