Hello,I have a question about the dates. I have the 7 days in one month global pass.As far as I understood, one month means within one calendar month beginning from the start date (e.g. from July 10 to august 09).I would like to start my trip in February (which has less days). So if I start on February 12, do I then have 30 days to travel (until March 13) or only one calendar month minus one day, until March 11?
changing a time/date within a saved trip
I’m still thinking through my route but I’ve started to save my initial trip plan with 5 rail journeys added so far - each follows on from the other. I haven’t activated the pass or any part of the trip yet. I am sure I will want to make some changes to these to add to or reduce some stays once I have the full (draft) trip entered - maybe to stay longer in one place and reduce time in another. I’m just struggling to see how I make edits like small changes, such as time, and keep the entry. I know I can delete journeys and add new ones but that’s long winded. Any ideas?
IC train with Eurail - how to board if no reservation required?
Hello.I will be in Amsterdam for the first time, soon, and am unfamiliar with the practices there.I have a 1st Class Eurail pass, Digital.I will travel from Amsterdam to Brussels. No seat reservations are required for the IC train. And the app says that the price of IC trains are already included in my Eurail pass. But can anyone tell me if there is anything that I must do on the Eurail app before I board the IC train? Since there are no reservations required, and permission to use the train is already included in my Eurail app, then do I simply walk onto the train without a printed ticket or barcode? Thank you.
UK Access to platform / gates
Hello community,We currently are planning to travel to the UK in summer. When going by train on regular tickets over there I remember there are machines for the access to the platforms. The regular ticket usually has got to be put into a slot and the turnstile would open so one can get to the platform. How does that work with the EURAIL Global Pass? Thanks Frank
adding journey to pass
Hi guys, I am a new Interrail pass user and I am a little confused ahahah I have activated my pass and have a validity date starting in summer. I have added journeys to the ‘my trip’ section of the app. However, I do not understand if I need to add/connect it to my pass (the toggle that turns from grey to orange on the right) at this stage? Or if I just do this the day of/day before the train?I am aware that during peak season you are advised to book reservations for certain trains (separate to the app) but wondered if I don’t add certain journeys to my pass, that this will mean tickets sell/run out too? Also, will seat reservations sell out? As I don’t want to book all of my trains right now but I know roughly which ones I would want to get?! Thank you and happy travels :)
Do I need an eTicket for "free to board".
Hi all, I searched the timetable for London St Pancras to Amsterdam Centraal, 8:55am, 29/4/2023. The whole trip includes 3 stops, I paid to reserve 2 seats on St Pancras to Bruxelles Midi, that was highlighted orange, with a cost, and received 2 emailed eTickets from Eurostar. The legs from Bruxelles Midi to Breda, then Breda to Amsterdam Centraal (Thalys) were highlighted green, no reservation required, free to board. Does that mean we will get a seat on the Thalys train from Bruxelles to Amsterdam, just by referencing our Global Pass number ? Thanks very much for your help, the Eurail site lacks some linking information in this area.

Swiss pass and Eurail Global Pass
Hi I have a couple of questions and would be grateful for any advice: On 9 May I will be travelling around Italy - Cinque Terre 5 days, Milan to Dolomites and back then crossing from Milan into Switzerland. On 29 May, I am training from Milan to Lucerne for one night (30th May). I will go up to Mt Pilatus. Bern for 3 nights (31,1,2 June), walking, visiting museums. I intend training on one of my Bern base days, to Grindelwald to do Junfraujoch, then back to Bern. I will then train out of Switzerland (3 June) to Aix en Provence in France. I will stay in France until 27 June (but for 12 days I will be doing a course and not using any trains) - so my questions are: 1. is this cost effective to purchase a Swiss pass for the above Switzerland section, as I will be holding a Eurail pass during this time. 2. When catching a train from Milan to Lucerne, is this a Eurail pass day, or a Swiss pass day? Grateful for guidance
Inbound and Outbound journeys in other country
Hi everyone !! Does someone know if it is compulsory to use our outbound/inbound journey from/to our country of residence or can we use them as a classic travel day to go in another country that isn't our country of residence ?For example, I won the 7 days within 1 month pass and I live in france. So I used an outbound journey to start my trip. I used 5 classic travel days + 1 outbound (at the beginning) but i don't want to go back in France yet. Is it possible for me to use the last travel day not as an inbound journey to France but as a classic travel day to go in another country ? Thank you and have a nice day :))Jules

I just ordered a Eurail Global Pass but the start date is incorrect, May 23rd. I will be arriving in London on May 4th & will start using the pass on the 8th. I am concerned that I will not receive it before my departure date or will not be able to validate it before I start travelling. I also tried to add seat reservations before making payment but was unable to. Will I have to wait until I receive the pass or until it has been processed to do so? I would like to make reservations as soon as possible because I understand that seats for passholders are limited on Eurostar and Thalys trains.
Addng journeys to my trip
Hi, using the journey planner app I seem to be having a weird problem. I created 2 trips, one for me and the other for my wife. On our first travel day I’ve added 3 journeys to my trip without any problem, albeit one of them, as Thameslink service to St Pancras Intl, doesn’t exist in the timetable so I added it manually (I read that the timetables aren’t always very up-to-date).I added the same journeys to my wife’s pass (exactly the same type of pass). But when I came to activate the journeys (if that’s the right expression for sliding the button against the journey to change it from grey to orange) I noticed there was a funny symbol on the button for the 2nd journey…… and when I tried to activate it I got the following message…I don’t understand the message; when I select “use outbound/inbound journey” I just get a message saying “something went wrong” and to contact customer service if it keeps happening (which it does). I’ve not tried contacting customer service yet but does anyone
Is Berlin to Zurich via OBB Nightjet included in the Eurail pass?
Hi I’m trying to plan my itinerary for my upcoming Europe trip this July/August. I originally was planning to go from Berlin > Fussen > Zurich but since I cannot find an easy way to get to Fussen, I was considering just going straight to Switzerland instead. I was hoping I could get the train from Berlin > Zurich via the Nightjet, but was just wondering if this is included in the Eurail pass as I cannot see it on this Eurail Railway map: https://www.eurail.com/en/plan-your-trip/railway-mapAny help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)
