First timer to Europe!
Hello all! I will be visiting Europe for the first time this coming September (solo trip)! I have been looking into getting the Eurail pass but I am still a bit confused as to how this all works and I was wondering if I could get some help please!I’m from the United States, specially ohio and we do not use trains here. I am flying into Paris then traveling to Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest then flying to Dublin. I am assuming the 5 day pass is what works best for me? I want to do the first class pass because I want the space but is it worth it for just me? also, where will my huge suitcase be stored? and how do I know if I am on a high speed train or not? I see all these people talking about different types of trains and I also see when I need a seat reservation but I don’t see it ever say specifically “this is a high speed train”! I’d rather just get to my destination as quick as possible, I don’t need the scenery trip.Thank you! Savannah
understanding global day pass
here is my project: I want to buy 5-day global pass for my 14-year-old son and me.we are leaving france and arriving by plane in stockholm on 3/7/23.our first trip will be by talink ferry between sweden and latviathe second between riga and warsaw polandthe third between warsaw and vienna austriathe fourth between vienna and venice italythe fifth and last for the return to france in montpellierso that makes 6 stages, 5 trips, the last of which as a inbound trip to the country of residence.https://www.interrail.eu/fr/tripplanner-map#adult=1&youth=1&start=2023-07-07&end=2023-07-21&travelDays=6&trip=259SE01%2C713LV01%2Cc9PL01%2C8xAT01%2C3g7IT01%2CaxsFR01on eurail website, when I add the last return trip, the price goes from 519 to 616 euros, that is the price of a 7-day pass, while I have planned 5 trips, one by ferry and 4 by train.can you explain to me what is happening? why does this travel planning not fit in 5-day pass ?second question: we can take as many trains

Is Berlin to Zurich via OBB Nightjet included in the Eurail pass?
Hi I’m trying to plan my itinerary for my upcoming Europe trip this July/August. I originally was planning to go from Berlin > Fussen > Zurich but since I cannot find an easy way to get to Fussen, I was considering just going straight to Switzerland instead. I was hoping I could get the train from Berlin > Zurich via the Nightjet, but was just wondering if this is included in the Eurail pass as I cannot see it on this Eurail Railway map: https://www.eurail.com/en/plan-your-trip/railway-mapAny help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)
Impossible to get in touch with anyone from customer service
This is a chronic issue with Interrail staff. Very simply, I cannot fathom how a travel agency can operate with no telephone number, no way of contacting them, no email address. This is at the fringes of legality. All you can do is write to a chatbot that represents the current highest standard in artificial dumbness.Three days trying to get in touch with someone and instead I have to deal with this annoying piece of dumb software that tells me 750 times a day that I have received a confirmation email and a ticket has been created. Can someone send me a phone number or email address? Can I talk to some real person?
Interrail Greek Island Pass
Me and my partner came up with the idea of interailing with the greek island pass however they only offer 4/6 day passes and ideally we were looking to go for 2 weeks. Would it be more economical/reasonable to buy 2x passes each for us or to use the general “15 day pass” as a solution. Since im not sure the regular pass covers the benefits that the greek pass does: A 30% discount on all additional trips within the Greek Islands during the validity period of your pass. A 30% reduction on all upgrades in accommodation (except Lux cabins). Valid for international and domestic routes. Fuel charges and port fees. Thanks!!
Dudas reservas billete interrail
No entiendo. Si voy a la aventura, entonces no me compensa porque no puedo viajar donde y cuando yo quiera. Gracias
La Speza to Parma
Google Maps shows a train running from La Speza to Parma- the trip takes about 2.5 hoursBUT when I try to book with Eurail the site insists I travel via Genoa, and the trip will be 6 or 7 hours. So despite what Google is telling me there are NO direct trains from La Speza to Parma (on a Sunday) ??
Stuck in Copenhagen - train cancelled
Hi, me and my friend are currently travelling with an interrail ticket from Bremen to Malmo C. Due to the øresund bridge being closed we are stuck in Copenhagen until at least midnight. Does anyone know if we are entitled to compensation for the hotel room we booked in Malmö or the hotel room we will need to book for tonight in Copenhagen?
Addng journeys to my trip
Hi, using the journey planner app I seem to be having a weird problem. I created 2 trips, one for me and the other for my wife. On our first travel day I’ve added 3 journeys to my trip without any problem, albeit one of them, as Thameslink service to St Pancras Intl, doesn’t exist in the timetable so I added it manually (I read that the timetables aren’t always very up-to-date).I added the same journeys to my wife’s pass (exactly the same type of pass). But when I came to activate the journeys (if that’s the right expression for sliding the button against the journey to change it from grey to orange) I noticed there was a funny symbol on the button for the 2nd journey…… and when I tried to activate it I got the following message…I don’t understand the message; when I select “use outbound/inbound journey” I just get a message saying “something went wrong” and to contact customer service if it keeps happening (which it does). I’ve not tried contacting customer service yet but does anyone
Country of residence - Basel or Basel Bad BF
The global pass allows one outbound journey and one inbound journey to / from country of residence that occur during travel days at any point in your trip.I am a resident of Switzerland, and I am planning to make the following weekend trips : Return journey between Basel / Milan Return journey between Basel / Cologne Return journey between Basel / HamburgAm I able to do so on my pass? Is this considered an outbound / inbound journey as technically I am not travelling within Switzerland. Thanks for your help!!
Seat reservation TGV to Belgium. SNCF does not list non-French destinations.
I have booked a ticket in the eurail app for Lille (France) to Brussels (Belgium). The app says I need a seat reservation, but I am not able to make a seat reservation with a destination outside of france. You have to use the SNCF (French nat. train service) web site or app for the TGV trains, however this app won’t let you reserve seats for trains that exit France.
NO SEAT RESERVATION required- how to get ticket???please help
Good day everyone. I want to ask for some help regarding how to obtain a ticket for those trips that does not require any seat reservations as I know that the Eurail pass is not the ticket itself. How do I go about with this? Your responses are much appreciated.

Global Pass 4 days - reserve spots in May and 1st - second class from Amsterdam to Barcelona
We are planning to travel in May some days from The Netherlands to Paris to Barcelona and back.We can't seem to find what is the most handiest way to travelWe don't see much difference with 1st and 2nd class? Probably for such long er trips there will always come a space available, so is it really neccesary to reserve spots? Would a 4 days pass be enough to do our travel?
