Hi!!! I’m traveling from Lithuania to Latvia and am wondering whether it is possible by train. After some research I found out that there are no trains between the countries and that none of them will take me over the border. If this is the case I wonder if I should use a bus. If I do, is it possible to use the Interrail pass in them when I’m buying the ticket? I have a Global pass that will be activated until August 2023. Thank you in advanceMirna Joronen
Hi community! I hope you´re doing fine:)I´m Daniela and I´ve been planning to start my 1st interrail in Oct 6. I bought the 7 days pass within 1 month.I live in Portugal but I´ll fly to Barcelona to start my adventure.The route I was planning: Barcelona-Paris-Brusells-Rotterdam-Amsterdam-Cologne.Unfortunately I´m having a hard time trying to understand what´s the cheaper way to go from Barcelona to Paris, since the seat reservations are a bit expensive (in my honest opinion) and it´s not possible to book from interrail website (only physically in a Spanish station, right?)I already read some posts and blogs but the alternatives are also are a bit pricey.I was wondering if you could advise me or help me find the best option, because I´m trying to spare some money when I can to keep my trip affordable.Thanks in advance!!
I want to make a seat reservation for trains from Nice to Barcelona. I couldn’t book a reservation for train from Nimes to Barcelona. I know that I can do it on train station in Spain, but I’m affraid I won’t be able to do that, because it will be fully booked, so I want to make reservation now. Do you have any ideas how to do it? Is it possible to book in via online site or phone call? The same question goes for train from Narbonne to Barcelona.
I bought 4 days Eurail pass, and I haven’t used it yet. I added my possible trips on Rail Planner app as follows since I haven’t decided what time I will leave Strasbourg, either 08:21(red) or 08:51 (blue), and what time I will leave Colmar, either at 13:53 or 15:53. My question is this:1. Can I choose one of the times (between red and blue) right before the train time? If I choose red time slot, then what happens to the blue time slot? All those possible trips I added is on the same day.2. How far ahead should I add my trip on the Rail Planner app. Is it okay to add my trip just before the train time? (For instance, even like 5 minutes ahead is okay?3. What should I do with the yellow hightlighted area? If I activate one of those things, and do not use the others, what happens?4. I haven’t used Eurail pass before. So I don’t exactly know how to use it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
Planning to buy 1st or 2nd class Eurail pass for family trip (including 1 child who has special needs). Arriving July 20, 14:00 at Milan. We want to go to Lucerne (or Zurich) for 2 days, and then to Munich on July 22. Trying to figure out a scenic, but not overly time-consuming route to avoid child’s or parent’s meltdown. I know it could be extremely hot, and most Swiss hotels there don’t have a/c, so the happier we arrive in Lucerne, the better (hopefully). Does this seem like the best route:MXP to Milan Central to Lugano (stay overnight in Lugano or go directly to Lucerne?)Lugano to Lucerne (regional train instead of Gotthard Panoramic, but find a train on the Old Gotthard track). Having a hard time on the Swiss rail site because it keeps giving errors and unsure how to book a good boat to get to Lucerne and still have time to go to one of the mountain tops like Pilatus or Rigi.
Hello Fellow Travellers, I am intending to travel from Milan Centrale to Spiez Station, I will be having a EU Rail Pass and Swiss Travel Pass. My question is that if I take a one country pass for Italy is it possible that I use that pass till Domodossola and for the journey further can I use the Swiss Travel Pass.Loving this community already. Only the first "My Trip" had a slider switch to add to the pass, a;; other My Trips for other day journeys dont have a slide switch
First Time user of Eurail. I will be in Europe for about 15 days holiday as a single traveler, we used the planner on the app to find the 7 train journeys I need to take, and we saved each one as a my trip (I have 10 days over 2 months) but now I look at it, we connected the first My Trip to the pass, even managed to work out how to get a seat reservation, because as per the instructions we read it had a slide switch to connect it to the pass. None of the other 6 my trips seem to have this slide switch??? I haven’t reserved seats yet on the other journeys, is that why there is no slider switch?? I need to take the other 6 journeys during my 15 days in Europe.I can’t understand, there doesn't seem to be any useful instructions. Please help, my next journey is in 3 days.
So confused. We have planned a 5 week trip to 5 countries. We know how long we are staying at each location. Should we make all our trip reservations in the Rail Planner now before we leave? We are pretty firm on our travel dates but if something happens will we be able to change the reservation?Thanks.
Hello and thanks to this community for helping customers !I made some seat reservation for train tickets from Stuttgart for Paris. This reservation is for 15/10/2023I received the tickets from interrail mail.Later I received a mail from SNCF : the departure from Stuttgart was cancelled, due to modernization works on rails. The train now departs from Karlsruhe.I’m sort of okay with this updated option anyway. However, I need to check the updated information for my ticket.The SNCF mail invited me to perform a cancellation or modification of this travel trough their website. However, I am not interested in cancelling the ticket, I simply need to get the updated ticket.Furthermore, the reference for this travel is not recognized on any of their website (neither sncf-connect or dossier.sncf-voyageurs)I am a bit at a loss here :/Please rememeber, I just need to get and check the updated information (date, hour and precise departure station) for this new ticket. Guten Tag, Ich bin grad ein bisschen verunsichert. Ich habe über Interrail ein Platz im Zug reserviert, in der Rechnung stand jetzt nicht die Hausnumner.Ich hatte die Straße und die Hausnummer getrennt geschrieben.....hoffentlich ist die Nummer auf dem Brief angezeigt und findet den Weg zu mir.Habt ihr da Erfahrung? Ich find einfach kein Weg interrail zu fragen.Danke Gruss Pascal
Hello! I will travel with Interrail for the first time in one week. I really hope somebody can help me. I am really confused. My question is whether I can add a journey on an active day. Here is my problem: I want to travel from Hanover (Germany) to Munich (Germany). I want to stay there for some hours and use the night train to Venice (Italy). I already know that there is no extra “active” day when using a night train but how does it work with the stay? I would have to use two “active” days when I stay in Munich for some hours although it is just one day. It says that the inspector have to see the train you’re staying in, when he scans the barcode. But how is it handled when you’re not traveling the exact route that is on your “ticket” because the rail planner didn’t show it?
I can’t figure our how to book the Bernina Express using the App or the website. We are going from Zurich to Milan and we want to use the Bernina Express as part of that travel. When I put this in using the App I get all the various trains that go from Zurich to Milan. I then tried looking based on each segment i.e.,, Zurich to Chur; Chur to Tirano; and Tirano to Milan. However when I look at Chur to Tirano (the Bernina Express route) I get various train options and I don’t know which one is the Bernina Express. Any help would be appreciated.
Wife wants to travel by train from Paris to London on Thursday, 20th of April. I go to the Eurail and other site’s pages, a train schedule she wants is available.When I try to buy a ticket, it says it wants either a Paper Pass number or some other type of information she does not have. Hello all, Can anybody suggest a reliable source for timetable information for Spain? I have been using RENFE, and not finding much to suit my schedule, and then I decided to try DB and RailEurope, and found many more options listed. RENFE does not seems to list connecting trains (eg Apr 24 Madrid-Granada only shows 3 AVE services, but DB/RE show additional connecting trains via Cordoba, yes, would need two reservations) and does not list local trains (eg Apr 29 El Chorro - Malaga) at all. Very happy to use DB as a source of timetable information if it’s reliable. Also, I saw a post that said that seat reservations for Spain could be done via DB. I haven’t found a way to do this, get reservation not possible message. Is this still possible? Not a major problem as I will have done to make reservations while in Spain. Thanks George

This is a chronic issue with Interrail staff. Very simply, I cannot fathom how a travel agency can operate with no telephone number, no way of contacting them, no email address. This is at the fringes of legality. All you can do is write to a chatbot that represents the current highest standard in artificial dumbness.Three days trying to get in touch with someone and instead I have to deal with this annoying piece of dumb software that tells me 750 times a day that I have received a confirmation email and a ticket has been created.Can someone send me a phone number or email address? Can I talk to some real person?
