Night train Madrid to Lisbon?

Hi travelers! 

 

This summer, me and my brother are going on a trip to Spain and Portugal. On our 5th travel day we would like to take the night train from Madrid to Lisbon. We know this train exists, but cannot find any available reservation options. 

Does anyone have experience taking this night train? And do you might have any tips on how, where and when to book this train?

This night train was discontinued at the beginning of the corona crisis and may not come back, in any case not in the next few years.
