When booking with a global pass for a set amount of times , i see on the dusseldorf to paris Thalys train on Dec 26th that there are 3 different options .standard comfort and premium.I'm assuming the global passes only allow us to book in the standard tickets right.IM also wondering what tickets are we needing to buy compulsory reservations on.Im doing a comparison with my short itinerary as to whether its necessary to only buy single tickets other than a global pass with compulsory reservations. here is my itinerary belowthere are 3 people me and 2 daughters both aged 23/25Dusseldorf to paris 26th Dec 4.17 pmParis to London 29th Dec around 8amLondon to manchester same dayRome to pisa then to florence same day 7th JanFlorence to venice 8th jan mid morningMunich to Zugspitze ireturn , think is a special ticket paid outside the passMunich to Dusseldorf 14th janDusseldorf to amsterdam return out on 15th jan back on 16thI have worked out that the costs are almost similar however im now
Hi everyone, I am currently trying to book a train from London to Barcelona. When I view the tickets without logging into my account, it looks like there are seats available. However, when I log in, I get the following message: “Prices unavailableNo price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable. “ Are tickets truly sold out? Is there any way I can purchase online?
I’ve got a 5 Day within a month Interrail Global Pass and so has my mum. I’m trying to reserve seats for us on the Hamburg to Stockholm 22:01-09:56 train on the 11th of October. Everything I have read tells me to not use the eurail/interrail website to book reservations as they are normally less on the train company’s website. So I looked at sj.se and put in the passes for us both and have the following options:Seat: 330SEK (£24.60)Couchette: 770SEK (£57.40)Sleeping compartment: 1,660SEK (£123.74)Whole compartment: 1,654SEK (123.29) When I look at the Interrail.eu website I get the following:Seat: £11.36Couchette: £22.36Sleeper (2 in a 3 bed I think?): £45.52Is there a reason that the interrail prices are so much less? Somewhere I read that it was doubled on checkout and it was for one person only but then I removed one of us and the prices halved. Is there a catch I’m not understanding with the interrail website? I obviously would prefer to pay less and reserve through there but I don
I would need to take tram from zurich main station (zurich HB) to Wipkingerplatz station, can I use eurail pass or I need to by the tram icket
My sweetheart and I are visiting Germany and Italy in September/October. Should we purchase a 3 day Eurail pass from DB to travel from Frankfurt to Munich on the 21st and then Munich to Venice on the 23rd or buy individual tickets? I’ve heard you can buy a “Twin Pass” to save money also. I haven’t seen them on the DB site though. Whats the best way….Will we need to make seat reservations for the Venice trip on TrenItalia?Any advice is appreciated...Thank youNorman
on page with how to book seat reservations on your train journey, it says:“When does this service run?not every day, 9. Oct until 8. Dec 2023; not 13., 14., 21. Oct, 2., 3., 10. Nov” - what is meant by this!? - which part of which service??
I have activated two passes on my phone to go to Berlin, one for me, one for my brother. When we return from our trip he then wants to use his pass on his own device. Is it straightforward to do this please? Steve, Nottingham
We are starting our Journey in Vienna on 22nd Dec , leaving Vienna on the 26th travelling to Salzburg on 26th then to Zurich on 28th , then to Paris on 29th, Can we reserve seats and do we use the same train all the way through? If you could advise which train we should book on. It would appear the timetable is still not available on the eurail website. Do you know when it will be and is it risky to wait? Many thanksRichard
I have a pass for 4 days of travel in 1 month. My trips are Amsterdam-Paris, Paris-London, and a few others in between TBD. The two trips I do have saved say “seat reservation required 32€” and “seat reservation required 34€”. Now, last year when I asked a train attendant a question about my train’s arrival, they said I shouldn’t have paid extra for seats after buying the pass. When I look on the app under “My Pass” it says under the trips saved “All set! Show your ticket during inspection.” My question is, do I HAVE to pay extra for a seat reservation after buying the pass? Has anyone just showed up and all has been just fine? Thanks in advance!!

Hi I'm soon travelling with our teenagers from Switzerland to London. We want to go by ferry. P&O has only three possibilities to go as foot passenger, it is risky to catch the last one.I thought to take a coach for Calais - Dover? Where do I find some coach companies? Has anyone a suggestion. Thanks!
what are the additional charges for the eurostar 1 way Paris to London on the 2nd of Jan 2024 for our family of 2 adults and 2 students after I have purchased our global 7 days in 1 month pass ?
We are planning a trip with a German pass. We know that we can travel to Salzburg / Innsbruck / Verona on this pass, but what we’re not sure about is if we can stop at each city on the way and stay, then pick the DB train back up to carry on the journey, or if we need to return to Germany before doing the next part of the trip. Ideally we would like to go from Munich to Salzburg, stay overnight, move on to Innsbruck, stay there overnight, then on to Verona staying overnight, before coming back to Germany. Is this possible?
