Some info for people traveling on Rhatische Bahn between Chur - St Moritz - Tirano.Hi, this is just to let you know that I observed new? restrictions on the rhatische bahn, which i haven’t experienced earlier.This morning I was planning to take the RE train from Tirano to Chur, which i’ve done many time. And i didn’t have a reservations, because it’s not compulsory and I relied on the 1st Class Pass.But this time, a queueing system was in operation where you first have to get boarding cards for the train. Waiting time: about 2 trains, (2 hours). (Actually I think the EU passenger rights would apply here)So, please note that you can’t rely on actually taking the train you had in mind, and making your connections, when traveling on RE 9 or R9 of ratische bahn from one of the terminus stations. The new queuing system could be in operation….In the end I walked to the next station, and took the next train from there… (Here I am talking about the regular trains, not the Bernina Express)  

Hi,I've been trying for two days to reserve seats on Iryo trains from Barcelona to Madrid and Madrid to Seville using the Interrail reservation tool. However, the tool only displays the following error message: Is this a known, possibly temporary problem, or is booking simply not possible?GreetingsVolker

I want to travel from Brussels MIdi to Amsterdam Centraal in March.  When I enter my Global Pass information it says the trains are free.   This means that I am blocked from making a reservation. I would like to confirm my seats.  How do I do this?Also, how long should i typically need to transfer trains in the same station?

Hi! Im traveling from Utrecht to kopenhagen and back twice in 1 month, thus I bought the interrail pass for 4 days in 1 month. I have a free student travel pass in the Netherlands in the weekends, thus I wont have to use my in and outbound the first time traveling. Is this possible? How do I turn that option off? Or is using the outbound mandatory the first day you travel? I have a transfer at Hengelo, so I thought about activating my interrail pass then (or the first stop after the border, so in germany). What is the best thing I can do? I couldnt find the answer at the forum. Thanks in advance!

Hi! i wanna go from Utrecht to Kopenhagen on the 4th of January. But im not sure what to do with my reservation on the ICE from hamburg to KPH, so any help would be nice:)) there are two options:Option 1 is at 14:47, interrail says a reservation is not needed, but DB says the train is fully booked (so i cant make a reservation anyway), can I still board the train? and just sit somewhere and hope for the best? Via the interrail site, i can however still make the reservation, so that would also be an option? (although it feels weird that I can make a seat reservation via interrail but not Db’s?) The second option is the ICE at 16:49. Interrail says I need a seat reservation for that one, and DB says that I can still book the seat via their website. My preference would be option 1 bc my partner is taking that train, but he already has a seat reserved. I guess I can always go for option 2 but was wondering what my prospects are at option1 . ANy help is appreciated, thanks:) also small side

Hello Everybody,today Saturday is the very first time I use 10 day pass Eurail. I have activated the pass, bit I only receive a the Tiket with a code wuth numbers and letters. Is it necessary to receive a tiket with QR code like others ?and second, it appear a botton with One day available, when I should clik this bottom or it is automatic when the tiket is cheked in the train by the controller ?Many thanks for your help

I have an interrail pass and I'm travelling with a friend who has a Eurorail pass, how can we ensure we reserve train seats together on our journeys?

My best friend and I would like to travel Europe. I like the cultural aspect more and she prioritizes nature and beautiful landscapes. We would like to mash best of both worlds. How long we’ll go isn’t sure yet, due to different reasons. But we’re planning for a two, max. three week trip. For now we had this route in our heads: Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, the lake of Bled, Triglav National Park, Ljubljana, Innsbruck and Munich. With following details: Nighttrain from Berlin to Vienna  Daytrip in Vienna, so we can travel on to Budapest later that night.  Berlin 2 nights, Vienna daytrip, Budapest 2 nights, Bled + Triglav + Ljubljana = 5 nights for all of these, Innsbruck 2 nights, Munich 2 nights.  We were also considering some place in Italy or Croatia. This is our first time interrailing so suggestions, alternatives, ideas, change of itinerary, … literally everthing’s welcome. Even if that means adding or removing places from our list. We’re looking for any advice in general. Thanks a lo

Heee I want to book a couple of trains, but for some it says there are no tickets available and some might already be sold out. I checked another website and they’re not sold out, so why isn’t this site showing? I don’t want to buy tickets on other sites if I’ve already bought this pass…

I want to make sure I understand how it all works.  I purchase the pass now (7 travel days), travelling in May 2026.  I can activate the pass now or later.  I must activate the pass to be able to reserve on trains.  I can reserve starting 90 days prior to train travel date, but not before. Do I have to do anything for my pass at any train stations or do I just show up and board my train?Appreciate your time!

I have the Eurail pass for my family of 4 and I had uploaded all passes to the app with start date later this summer. Then I went to wesbite to book our seats for a train leaving on June 1st. However, all the times I selected won’t highlight “add to cart.’ Does that mean I’m trying to book too far in advance, but the schedule table is too far out? OR is it because there’s an asterisk saying there are limited seats? I have 1st class passes, is it not feasible to book for all four of us at once? TIA!

Hey,would be cool to make a collection of routes/companies where you wouldn’t expect that Interrail is valid.I am starting with:Citybahn Chemnitz: on the trams with C before the digits you can use your Interrail also on the innercity tram. ATTENTION: it is not on the tramlines valid, that use exactly the same route which are operated by CVAG. Trambahia (Cadiz): it is operated by RENFE so you can use your Interrail pass. But you should get a ticket ahead from the ticket office in Cadiz. If you are boarding at a non-manned station I don’t know how it works.Looking forward to more interesting opportunities ;-)

Hello,I am planning my first trip with Interrail.I will be travelling through various places to Lisbon. From there, I will be going on a long hike. The rest of my trip will continue from Faro in southern Portugal.How do I go about interrupting my travel plans in order to continue my journey or start my return journey from a different location?I haven't been able to find any help with this. Hello,i wanted to post about some of the train museum i visited on my travels. France:Mullhouse Cité du Train Great train museum. Another museum nearby nearby which is also woth a visit is the Musée Electropolis (a combined ticket for both museums is available)Austria:Eisenbahnmuseum Strasshof “Das Heizhaus”. I recommend to visit this museum on one of the event days. (Dampftag, etc.). The museum can be reached by train from Vienna. Eisenbahnmuseum Schwechat: small train museum, easy to reach from vienna. But in my opinion not that interesting. I would recommend the Eisenbahnmuseum Strasshof “Das Heizhaus” over this one.Germany:DB-Museum Nürnberg: Great big Museum close to the main train station of Nürnberg.DB-Museum Koblenz: This one i recommend doing on one of the days where there is an event.Bayerisches Eisenbahmuseum: Lot of steam trains. Best time to visit is on a day where there is an event or some of them are running.Slovakia:There is an outdoor display of old trains near Bratisl

Hi everyone, I’m planning to head out in May and I’m looking for Interrail tips. I don’t really have a clear plan for the trip yet. The only ideas I have so far are Milan, the Dolomites, some Alpine regions and Austria along the way. I’d really like to visit national parks, mountains and valleys, but I have almost no idea how to put everything together.I’ve been thinking about bringing a tent and sleeping bag, but my first choice would be hostels. I’m open to ideas though. If you could share advice, I’d love: Options without camping – hostels, hotels, Airbnb If camping – best campsites or areas for pitching a tent What are the best national parks to visit around the Alps, Northern Italy, and Austria?What are the best ways to reach viewpoints or mountaintops easily and safely, especially without a car?And any general advice for someone who’s starting this trip with very little idea of the route would be super helpful.
