Hai everyone,We are from the travel committee of a small study association and we have some questions about buying a Flexi 4 day pass.We want to travel from Utrecht (Netherlands), to Nice (France), Milan (Italy) and than back to Utrecht.How does it work when booking for 25 people at the same time We want to buy the passes with the 25% off, but we don't know who is coming with us yet, so we don't know the information How can we reserve 25 seats all at once, to know we are all on the same train We don't understand how to choose and reserve specific trains, we are leaving on the 10th or 11th of April.  How much is this exactly going to cost. We saw it was around 10 euros, but than immediately got hit with 34,- minimum

We plan to travel round-trip from Amsterdam to Düsseldorf using a Eurail Global Pass.When we check the Rail Planner app, the travel time is shown as about 4 hours with transfers. However, on the official DB website, a direct train is shown with a travel time of about 2 hours. The results are very different.Since we are required to show the QR code in the Rail Planner app when boarding, we would like to ask:Are we allowed to take the direct train that does not appear in the Rail Planner app, or can we only use the trains shown in the app?Thank you very much for your assistance.Kind regards,

Hi!I think I may be reading things too literally to see the obvious so apologies in advance to the seasoned interrailers!I’d be very grateful for your advice.  If I start my journey from home in Edinburgh and take the train to London and then the Eurostar to Paris all in one day, does this count as my “outbound journey”?  In other words, does this still leave me with all of my “travel days”?  (I plan to buy a Global 7 day travel pass so would it still leave me with all 7?)Also, if anyone has any ideas of alternatives to going through London that would be much appreciated. I had thought about getting the train to Newcastle and then the ferry to Amsterdam but that ferry doesn’t seem to be included in the pass and it’s ridiculously expensive.  There had been talk of a ferry from Rosyth to Dunkirk but that seems to have stalled.Many thanks in advance!  Alison

We are both teachers and plan to take our 2 children (10 and 11) interrailing next summer. We want to start by going eurostar from London to Paris. The countries we’d like to explore are Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy. Don’t want to travel by train more than 6-8 hours each journey, ideally.We’d love really scenic train journeys, not too bothered about big cities. Looking for reasonably cheap but private accommodation. Would like a mix of scenery: lakes, mountains, villages, coast. We have up to 6 weeks to spend on the trip.Any suggestions of unmissable places, journeys or experiences very much appreciated!

Hi guys,I already traveled with an Interrail pass, but this time I have a weird issue. My direct train (witch is in 2 days) from Wroclaw to Berlin doesn’t show on the app timetable. I have the reservation and I don’t know what should I do, I mean - how should I validate my ticket on board. Hi Guys, I will be travelling tomorrow’s from Venice S Lucia Station to Zurich HB with one change at Milano P Garibaldi (10.47 AM)and next train is from Milano Centralle at 11.10 AM.  If any one have idea to reach Milano Centralle in less time from Milano P Garibaldi as we have only 20 mins to reach there. What mode will be best to reach there through walking or by metro??it will be very appreciable if any one suggest us the best way before our tomorrow train. thanksVineet 

2 persons, each have iPhone and iPad. Can both of us have borh persons pass on two devices?  is that smart or stupid?is it better to have passes on iPhone with SIM card than on iPhone without SIM? Thanks in advance! 

Hi everyone,Regarding the decision between a first-class and second-class ticket, I’d like to ask you something.I’ve been on several Interrail trips before, always traveling in second class. Now I’m considering purchasing a first-class Interrail pass. Next summer, I’d like to travel to Norway and Sweden, and I was wondering if any of you have experience with first class there. Do you think it’s worth it?I did some research in the Rail Planner app beforehand, but I got a bit confused by the prices for seat reservations in first class on regional trains. Are they really free? Are there additional advantages of a first-class pass that make the trip more comfortable or possibly even save you money in the end? Lo que no entiendo es que en algunos me pide reservar asiento, si eso yo lo hago en taquilla de la estación ese mismo dia de viaje hay alguna posibilidad de que no hayan asientos disponibles siendo que yo ya tengo activado ese tren en mi pase?

Let me simplify:On day 1, I will leave my country of residence (Belgium) towards Paris and then catch a night train (the trip begins on Day 1) to the South of France. Hello everyone,Thank you to all fellow-travellers who have given amazing advice and tips on this forum.After travelling overland through France and Switzerland, we want to give the kids a beach break (they’re 9 & 11). We’ll be in Tirano, north Italy (after hopefully doing Bernina train). Can anyone recommend somewhere not too far away where we could enjoy some nice sea and beach time? The plan after that is to travel through Austria, Germany and back to London that way.  Thanks for any help! 😊

I have a youth mobility visa for UK. Which pass should I be getting? It’s a e-visa so I only have an email/document as a proof not a physical one. 

 Hi we are planning on visiting the Vatican from bologna. We saw that there is a station Roma s pierta that’s closer to Vatican City. Will the euro global pass cover the train from Roma termini to Roma s pierta or we will need to buy a subway ticket? 

Hello everyone,My family (two adults and two children) would like to travel from Nuremberg to Brest, then on to Montpellier, and from there via Genoa to Rome, before returning to Nuremberg.We're considering first-class tickets if it would save us the cost of seat reservations.Furthermore, the Eurail website's planning software doesn't show any connections from Nuremberg to Brest. However, other websites do show connections. Do we have to plan our routes through the Eurail website, or does it not matter?And how does seat reservation work? Hello,I bought a "4-day in 1 month" Interrail pass in 1st class for me and my girlfriend (for a trip in Austria). It is not activated for the moment.The 1st reservation I would like to do is a "sleeper coach" for us in an ÖBB night train (for the return journey from Vienna to Zurich (for the night of December 23rd to 24th) and I would like some help about this issue if somebody already faced it:When I check availability on this train via the Interrail.eu website, it indicates that "pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection". (see screenshot below) However, when I try to do the reservation via the ÖBB website (with choice of “Interrail discount”) there is availability : I can book a sleeper coach for 188 euros for 2 people. See screenshot below :  Note: I think it's normal for the price to be so high for a simple reservation. Indeed, the price of such a berth on this route is around 400 euros.I used the procedure described on the Interrail website on screenshot below

Hello, I'm trying to plan my journey fromw Sweden to Amsterdam, but the ICE train from Frankfurt to Amsterdam doesn't show in the railplanner app. But it is planned to go according to the NS. Can I still take this train with my interrail ticket? 

Hello Everyone,  Currently planning a trip that’ll be taking place in 3 weeks. I’ll be traveling from the Lake District (UK) to Paris Nord in one day--yes, I know it will be long journey. Currently I’m running into the issue that the seat reservations will cost anything from $95 to $76 for either 1st or 2nd class (64 and 80 Euros for the respective classes); this is specific to my Eurostar transfer in London to then Paris. Not only does this not match the reservation table per Eurail page, it also shows that all reserve-able seats are sold out. So I am very worried that i’m running out of options.  I am also extremely confused and hope that someone has experienced something similar. If the reservations for the Eurostar truly cost $76 to $95, so be it. But will I not be able to travel on my London to Paris leg of the trip if I do not have a reservation? I’ve already tried contacting Eurostar but have not received any helpful response. If anyone has any helpful guidance, it’ll be greatly

There are still direct trains from Amsterdam to Frankfurt shown on the DB app, but on the Rail Planner app they only appear until December 13, and nothing shows up after that. The strange thing is that this route doesn’t even require reservations, yet on my travel date, February 14, not even the transfer options show up—only trains that require reservations.Because of this, I’m really unsure whether I should buy a Eurail Pass. I’m worried the trains might simply not appear later either. I don’t understand why this is happening. I was planning to get the pass for flexibility, but if the trains keep not showing up, it might be cheaper to just buy individual tickets instead.

I want to take the Mont Blanc Express and golden pass express.1/25 - leave Interlocken for Montreux - Golden Pass Express preferred1/26 - Montreux to Gruyere and back by train1/27 - Leave Montreux  late morning to Paris, High speed train if availableWhat eurail pass should I get? Will I need to reserve a seat on Mont Blanc? Will I need to reserve a seat (first class) on Golden Pass? Will I need to reserve a seat on high speed Montreux to Paris? If I have Eurail, how do add those reservations? Any help appreciated.

Does anybody know how to chase up Bahn, who have failed to reimburse accommodation due to delay, please?DB stuff-ups (somehow misplacing one half of an ICE) meant I had 102mins delay into Hamburg for what should have been a 65 minute connection to the SJ night train north to my home in the Arctic.Arriving after 22:30, with no further connection possible, the little DB booth just atop the southern escalators checked my RailPlanner app to make sure I’d added the whole journey (Munich-Stockholm), then issued me with a piece of paper which confirmed the delay and told me they wouldn’t be booking me a hotel but that I could spend up to €120 and then post the receipt back with a pink form they gave me in an envelope they gave me before continuing early next morning.I did that, but three weeks later had heard nothing.  So then I tried emailing the address they give here,  EUAntragFGR@deutschebahn.com with the subject “Passenger rights: EU application form” and sent photos of the documents tha
