I am planning an interrail trip for five of us. I will be setting it all out on my app, as I have fir myself in the past. Is there an easy way to share the details with my four companions to save them having to add all the journeys individually to their apps.

Hi all!I am planning a trip from Rome to Zürich, but due to personal reasons it’d be more comfortable for me to take a Frecciarosa at 16:25 to Milano and then take last EC to Zurich, rather than earlier. I would have around 40 minutes planned change in Milano, but here is my question:If I wouldn't make it for the change to EC, there’s a RE80 to Lugano and after 4 minutes change an IC to Zürich, but if the RE would not make it for the 4 minutes change, I’d be stuck in Lugano. In that case, would I be entitled for accomodation due to AJC? It requires reasonable change time, which is fulfilled for the original trip, but not for the “emergency” RE to Lugano.Best regards!

Hey !! 👋🏻 Me and my friend have been trying to plan our interrail trip the past few weeks and it's so overwhelming we would love some help from someone who's been there.We are from Greece and the original plan of our trip was:Greece to Ljubljana by plane on 3/4. Stay there for 2 days.Ljubljana to Bern on 5/4. Stay 'till 8/4. (3 nights)Bern to Amsterdam 8/4 - 11/4. (3 nights)Amsterdam to Paris 11/4. Stay 'till 13/4. (2 nights)Paris to Barcelona on 13/4 and stay until 16/4 (3 nights).Then fly back from Barcelona to Greece. The thing is. Firstly we would like to explore Switzerland's nature, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen etc. however these are around an hour from Bern and there is not connection from Ljubljana to Interlaken. So we would have to go to Bern (explore there a bit) and then use another travel day to go from Bern to Interlaken etc and then back again to Bern. Do you think we can see everything mentioned in less than a day? And basically use 1 day at bern and the second at Interla

Hello, I am from the United States and have only a US passport. I am studying abroad in Madrid right now, and I have a student visa and an apartment in Madrid. I am looking at getting a rail pass for 4 days/month. Do I qualify for an Interrail pass or should I get Eurail? The prices seem similar so I am not sure of the advantages/disadvantages of either.

I'm attempting to make a booking from Australia. The booking is for a trip on April 28, 2026, from Ancona to Patras. I insert all my and my wife's details, as well as the discount details for our Global Eurail pass and our passports. However, when I click on the 'Port Agencies' button, I receive an error message - ‘default extra not found’. See the second picture below.If I leave that blank, then I receive the error message 'Accept the required details to continue with the reservation.' See the first picture below.I have tried booking without the 'early bird' feature and received the same problem. I have tried different types of browsers to no avail. The problem occurs with either credit card or PayPal payment types. Hi,we are planning to travel from Zurich to north Italy, then to trieste and from there to Austria.I looked at the planner and for every part of the travel seems a good option available without reservations (sometimes a bit longer). We want our freedom so we will try this and maybe a last minute reservation if that is possible in februari.  Then there is one part of the travel that is not so clear:We are planning to travel from trieste to Vienna. We would like to do a stop over in Graz for an afternoon, but it does not seem possible with super little trains going in the morning. Also it says you don’t need reservations but there is a supplement, not giving any further information on the supplements.i found in another forum topic from a few years ago the following answer:This supplement exist only on trains to Italy that are run by DB and ÖBB. This means like EC Munich-Innsbruck-Verona/Bologna/Venice or RJ Vienna-Villach-Venice. For this trains you have to pay 10€ in 2nd class. You can

Hey! As suggested by the team at Interrail, me and my friend are now using the online trip planner to support us in planning trains and journeys. We are struggling on planning our route from Nice to Rome. The only option its suggesting is 35 hours long via switzerland. Please can you advise us on the best way to do this travel day. We are aware its a 12 hour journey. We have a global pass.  Thanks!

My friend and I are planning to interrail this May/June with a 5 day pass.For the first day, we want to get as far east as possible taking advantage of a night train if we can.I looked at one that heads towards Prague, but am I correct in thinking there is an issue with part of the route being a bus replacement?This is just our second year interrailing, so still pretty novice.Can anyone suggest a route, using a night train, that will take us to somewhere interesting.We went to Naples last year, via Geneva, and back via Colmar (which was pretty, but a bit sterile and dull) and Paris.We are considering at some point arriving in Slovenia, as we have been told it is a stunning unspoilt country.  Also taking the Eurostar to either Brussels or Amsterdam, rather than Paris.  We would prefer to minimise reservation fees (I know the night train isnt cheap, but we can offset it against accommodation fees, and saving an Interrail day) and night train is a bucket list thing…Any suggestions would b

Hi there,My friend and I are travelling from London to Paris on 28 August 2026. We have already booked the Eurostar separately and will be arriving in Paris at 21:00 on Friday 28 August. We have accommodation booked for two nights in Paris, followed by three nights in Nice.After Nice, we are hoping to continue our trip through Milan, Rome, Venice, Innsbruck (Austria), and Zagreb (Croatia), before flying back to London on 12 September.We have purchased a 5‑day travel pass within one month, but we are unsure whether this will be sufficient for our itinerary or if a 7‑day pass would have been more appropriate. Hi, i was on a trip earlier this month and left my country of residence once and reentered. the 22. of january i would spend my last two days of travel, ive read that i cant exit and reenter my country with my interrail pass again. I was looking at a ticket where i would pay for a ticket to padborg and continue on the train with my interrail pass. Would a ticket to padborg suffice and i would leave the country on the interrail pass? i would buy a ticket to a stop thats right over the border, but the train im looking at only stops there between copenhagen and hamburg. (Padborg is bordering the danish german border but is technically within denmark)

I found a night jet train in the Rail Planner app I’d like to take, and it doesn’t require seat reservation. I tried to reserve in the interrail site anyway but I got a message that there might not be available reservations anymore. I looked for the trip in the train lines sites (both DB and ÖBB) and were not able to find it for the same date. Here the details for the trip:IC 60403Amsterdam Centraal to Zurich HB28.03.2026, 20:15-08:05Does that mean there is a problem with the schedule in the Rail Planner app and this trip won’t happen?

When using your Eurail pass for the discounts on Ferrys, does that count as a travel day?  Such as the overnight ferry from Barcelona to Civitavecchia.

Hi! I’ve just done my seat reservation for the train home from Paris to London. On the email I got it said to go onto the Eurostar website to get the actual reservation with my booking reference and last name. The issue I have is that I wasn’t given a booking reference. Does anyone know where I’d be able to find this or do I need to contact Interrail as the booking was made through them?  Thank you for any help!

Ich habe mein Interrail Konto Passwort jedenfalls geändert muss ich sonst noch was tun sollte ich das von der Community auch wechseln ist das auch betroffen?

I have an interrail pass and am trying to use the travel.b-Europe site to book our seat reservations.  But when I enter our six digit pass number in the “pass cover number” section I just keep getting an error message that the pass cover number is not valid.  I tried calling their help number but it doesn’t work.  Any idea what I can do?

Hello, I am planning my first interrailing trip and I would like to go through Germany and Austria as I have never been to those countries before. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding cities to visit. Ideally, I would like to go to Berlin and Vienna, as they seem the most interesting. Does anyone have any other ideas? Also, I would like recommendations regarding accommodation, public transport etc.  I look forward to hearing from you. 

Hi everyone,my daughter is trying to book EN Tickets for her and her boyfriend on OEBB app for end of April. She has an Interrail pass and he hasn’t. So if she enters both of them, she gets “no tickets available”. It seems to work only if they both enter the same discounts.In the past I haven’t encountered this problem.Is there any way to book their tickets together, maybe on another site/app since it’s not an OEBB train?

Hey,so I am planning an interrail route including the ferry from bari to patras and I want to go on the 13.1.2026. The issue is I can not select any date further than the 10.1. and I can not find a timetable anywhere only. Does anyone know when they update their timetable and when I can book the seats?Another question: Somewhere on the Interrail website it said the bus from Patras to the Athens port is included if you take the fery. Is this still up to date? I am grateful for any help :)
