My family has purchased a Global Pass to ride the rails and adventure throughout Europe.  After an exceedingly difficult time figuring out how to plan the trip and finding out that the website and App aren’t linked….I think we’ve accomplished it. We are flying into Spain and traveling from Madrid down to Malaga….a couple of days later, traveling from Malaga to Barcelona by way of Madrid. I’ve received an email saying that both reservations have been cancelled.  No explanation why or if the moneys paid will be refunded or whether or not I should attempt to book different reservations.I’m assuming we’ll be able to travel to our destinations on regional trains?  Is this a safe assumption?Thank you for your help.Donovan

Hello! We are looking to purchase the interrail plus pass (beta) which include most seat reservation costs. That is 29/3 and we want to travel in August however it says the pass will need to be activated within 3 months of purchase. Does this mean we need to book the seats and travel in August within 3 months or does it mean we need to travel within 3 months.  AlsoHas anyone used the plus pass with seat reservation costs covered and is it worth it? Thanks! ☺️

Hi everyone,I purchased Eurail 1st class pass for Spain recently. I then made a seat reservation with lyro train infinita class. I checked that they have luggage policies where advance reservation is needed in advance. However, when I logged in to the booking, seems to me the booking from Eurail is not amendable with the baggage option. Is it possible to reserve via email or visit the customer service desk for reserving one? I don't want to end up in paying 40 euros for one large bag's. Thanks in advance

I got no follow up update.What data was leaked from where?What was done about it?Why are there still so much data collected? I am trying to connect a trip to my passWhen doing so I am exclusivley linked to my last trip (under my trips), which is still shown as active (I could not complete the trip as planned because my train through trasbourg was cancelled and I had to go through Paris insteadI presume that the still active trip is the cause of my problem. When I want to delete the active trip under my trips I get the message “can not cancel an active trip (kann nicht storniert werden)”What can I do   

To anyone who's done multiple countries over a couple months, how far in advance did you book your train tickets? Looking to go in summer and unsure whether to book them now or on the day I want to travel. And depending on when you booked them, what was seating like? Was it very booked up or quite empty. Hi, first time speaking here.I live in Nottingham, United Kingdom (for now) and my multi-entry Schengen visa (issued by Germany, so I need to enter into Schengen area for the first time from Germany) validates from 31 March 2026. I have already booked a trip with Lufthansa flight tickets 31 March Birmingham - Munich, 7 April Vienna - Munich - Birmingham, and hotel bookings in Munich from 31 March to 4 April, and in Vienna 4 to 7 April. During the week between Munich and Vienna, I am also planning using trains to explore the wider area. Likely to Innsbruck, Salzburg, Linz, and Bratislava. If this was the end of the story, I would not hesitate since Interrail would not be worthwhile only for this.However since there are 4 weeks of “Easter Break” for me, I am also (secretly) planning to go elsewhere. It would not be immediately after the first trip since I have some important stuff happening between 8 and 15 April. I am considering Prague or Silesia - their industrial history and railway

My current country of residence is Germany, and I am travelling to Switzerland.I read about 1 outbound and 1 inbound travel day, to leave and return to your country of residence using the Pass.as interrail pass, I wanted to ask whether it is applicable for a single country pass or only a global pass?

We are 2 persons doing the same planned trip. I could add My trip to my Rail planner, but not the other person’s Rail planner. The trip did not come as a alternative in the other person’s Rail planner. The other person is connected to My trip  and travellers. How should we do?

Hello. I am trying to plan travel from Euston London to Liverpool Lime Street. The EURail trip planner was unable to reserve my seats for me, so I am trying to do it myself. The ACP website says that “this product is not available in your region” when I try to reserve the trip from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street. Should I try to find another way there, another way to get the seat reservation, or should I simply try to board when I actually am at the train? My trip is planned for May, and I am worried that the train will be full, and that I will be unable to board. Any thoughts? Thank you for your help.

Hello all. I am trying to make a seat reservation on Great Western’s Night Rivera train for May 5th, but the website’s seat reservation functionality was removed. I tried messaging them on Facebook Messenger and was told to either book via some weird train staff page (I don’t work for a railway) or to call them. When I called them, I was told that I could just show up and board the train, but the Eurail website said that reservations are mandatory.Who is correct, and what should I do?

Hi,I read on a blog that tram and bus transport on Switzerland is free via your hotel if you make them aware you have Eurail pass. I cannot find solid proof of that , and if it is all hotels - could anyone who's done such a thing confirm please? Is it only certain hotels , or are there various ways to get free or reduced public transport (other than the trains of course)Thanks

Does anyone know what this → “The Double Sleeper: Can only booked with a full fare price at the moment.” means on this page → https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/trains-europe/night-trains/night-riviera-sleeper?  Does it mean that there is no concept of a pass holder fare for this trip any more?I’m aware that booking this used to involve ringing GWR (no web access) and convincing them that your Johnny Foreigner credit card and address are acceptable, but it is now not even an option at all?As it happens, the “full fare” which I can book directly online includes a super advance ticket which is only slightly more than the cost of an Interrail day, so it might be cheaper and simpler not to use my pass and just book a full ticket.  This seems a little bonkers to me.

There are three trips between Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic for which I have my tickets shown in yellow on the app.For the trips in France, where a reservation is mandatory, I bought tickets and received them by email. However, in the app it asks me to check the outbound and return boxes for three journeys where I already purchased the mandatory seat reservation.What should I do? If I get checked by a ticket inspector, will it be a problem if those boxes are not checked? Thanks 

I am planning a trip in early September.The plan is to travel from the UK to Brussels via Eurostar, then take a night train.I was receiving emails fron European Sleeper earlier in the year advising of special deals in March.  Does anyone know from previous experience whether there is likely to be a sale for Travel in September, once the high season is winding down, or if I should play safe and book with my interrail pass now?Also is night jet or the European Sleeper better,.or just the same, experience -wise?  We will most likely go for a couchette in  a 4 or 6 women only scenario.Our final destination will he Budapest for a few days, so there will be a stopover somewhere.  Recommendations of such a stopover place that will be pleasant for a single night, reasonable accommodation at a good price;  not bothered about luxurious but dormitories and shared bathrooms are ,not on the list.

Hello, we have two girls, age 4 and 6 and we are planning a round trip to Berlin in the summer, over two weeks. We would like to stop at a couple of places on the way there, and on the way back. Coming from the UK. Any recommendations of a good route? Preferably without very long travel times!  

I sent a request to Customer Service to deactivate my pass on my old phone which I no longer had as it is completely broken.  I got a reply which said told me to deactivate the pass on my old phone which I no longer have.I replied to the email explaining why I couldn’t do this.  Will customer service respond to this email, or should I create a new request?

Hello, I am trying to book seats through Interrail, but unfortunately the website is not working or keeps showing errors. My trip will be long with many transfers, so I wanted to book using Interrail, but it is not possible. Does anyone know what to do in this situation? I am a little anxious about it because I planned to visit three countries and now the Interrail reservations are not working. Thank you in advance for any help. 

I would like to make a reservation for the London Paddington to Penzance route, as described here: https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm#how-to-make-reservations-in-britain. When I select ‘Make a reservation’, the mentioned pop-up with ‘Next’ appears for a fraction of a second, immediately followed by an error message. I have tested this on several browsers and also on mobile devices, and the result is the same everywhere. My pass has not yet been activated, but I don't think that should be the cause of the problem. How can I make my reservation? Any help would be appreciated.A few screenshots from a short screen video. The whole thing happens at top speed, with no chance of catching the Next button.

We are planning a trip in May and want to book tickets from Krakow to Bratislava. The interail application does not seem to allow this. Is it because it is too far in advance or should we be using a different site
