I have a global p[ass with which I can travel 5 days in 1 month. My journey starts july 26th.Can I activate my pass in the app now (may)? And when can I generate the tickets for the journey’s I have planned in mu trip?

Hello,if i’m French because i grow up there but i’m now in Switzerland as a student for my studies since 4 years, can i be considerate like a resident in Switzerland and take a one country pass to travel in France ? It’s been 4 years that i have a place to live in Geneva.I think that don’t change anything because my identity card is French. Are you agree ?Thanks

So I’m planning to travel from Switzerland to Malgrat de Mar in Spain and have managed to add the journey up to Girona and make the necessary reservations. It seems that Malgrat de Mar is not in the Interrail Schedule but it is covered in the pass. What’s the correct way of manually adding the journey from Girona up to Malgrat de Mar?I have found out that it is possible to add the journey by entering Girona as the starting station and then just any other station in Spain as the destination. Then I can scroll down, add the journey manually and then change the destination station to Malgrat de Mar (and add the other info). While this does seem to work, it also feels like this really isn’t the intended way to do this and I am scared that the resulting ticket may seem suspicious to a ticket inspector. I have, however, not found any other way of adding a journey where the destination station is not in the schedule.

Hello everyoneMy husband celebrates his 70th birthday next year and I’d like to organise a trip through various European destinations by train and at least one sleeper train.  As we haven’t been to Eastern Europe, I’m thinking of flying to Bulgaria or Poland and kicking off from there and working our way back to Brussels for a Eurostar back to London. I’d like a stopover in each location of say, 2 days but with trains between destinations having a proper dining car with a lovely culinary experience (1st class, I’m assuming) on each leg.  I don’t know whether it’s better to book individual journeys and accommodation at each stopover or whether to buy a Eurail pass. I’m roughly thinking that the whole trip will be about 10-14 days. Any advice on routing and/or ticketing most welcome from you seasoned travellers to help me make a truly memorable trip. Looking forward to you sharing your wisdom.  Many thanks. 

Hello, we are a group of 5 and we want to do seat reservations from Berlin to warsow. We have tried to book several hours and stations but we cannot find a train. Do you know if the app is not working properly ? Do we have any alternatives? Please help us we have already booked airplane tickets from warsow and we may not be able to leave.

The DB App doesn’t say one is necessary at all but somehow the Interrail App says it’ll be required (from E8). (Pretty sure I’ve been on this train before and cannot recall ever getting one...)I’m looking to get back from Germany to England in July; Brussels is faster than Amsterdam but I’d like to avoid additional reservation fees (on top of the Eurostar ones).Any advice appreciated. I’ve not yet raised a ticket with the helpdesk...

Hello,I assume many other here, like myself, had their data leaked recently. I myself had to replace my passport and a bunch of other boring legwork, with attendant fees, and it honestly feels quite bad. I really cant afford it myself. I am upset that this happened, especially since all kinds of malicious scamming seems to be increasing.  Has anyone else had other issues since then? I dont feel that any of my data is secure, and im worried for phishing scams or something else,

Hei, we have seniot interrail tickets. We fly to Palermo first. We cannot get seating places to train from Palermo to Salerno 1.5, time 10.15. How we can pay them and get our tickets to phone?

Hi does anyone know how you can view the train stations without activating the pass? 

I’ve been doing a lot more train travel lately, especially longer routes, and I started looking into ways to make the journey a bit more comfortable. That’s when I came across Viper IntelliScreen, and I’m still not fully sure what to expect from it in real use.On paper it sounds helpful, especially for managing media or staying organized during trips, but I wonder how practical it is when you’re actually moving between stations or dealing with limited space. I guess battery life and ease of setup would matter more than anything else in that kind of situation.I’ve tried using regular devices before, and sometimes it just feels a bit messy, cables, angles, distractions. Maybe this kind of setup is better, maybe not.Has anyone here actually used something like this during train journeys across Europe? Did it make the trip easier or just add another thing to manage? 

Hi.Today is my travel date. We are 5 friends. 3 of us were able to activate our passes. But 2 of us cannot and we need to catch a train in 1 hour. It says “Something went wrong”.PLEASE HELP.

Hi! My group and I just bought the Eurail Global pass and we just had some confusion regarding booking seat reservations on the trains. On some legs of our train travel, it says “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.” Does this mean that we will not get a seat at all, or that we just have to show up and hope that we can find a seat for that train?  Are we able to book seat reservations through other websites such as Trainline using our Eurail pass, and if so, how does one go about that?  If a train booking says “open seating only” does that mean first come first serve?  If our train connection is less than 10 minutes, are we likely to actually make that train? If you can only answer one of the above questions that is still a major help! We’re just feeling a little overwhelmed regarding the trains and want to make sure we are doing it right :)Thank yo

Hi, when I signed up to interrail/rail planner app/community ( sometime ago)and purchased the global pass, it appears, at the time I used the iPhone/cloud  feature ‘hide your email’. Unfortunately, being a senior and not tech savvy, I thought this was a good idea, not realising that I can’t log in with my current (normal) email address to change my password and update my details, with my new phone. Fortunately, I have been able to find out that I don’t need to log in to rail planner app, it recognises me and I’ve been able to add my pass to it, what is worrying me now though,  is what happens if there is a glitch with the app and I need to reinstall it, will it still remember me? I’m guessing so, as it’s probably linked to my phone/icloud. I just wish I’d kept it simple and not hidden my email address. With that said, taking into account that I’ve already bought my pass and added it to the rail planner app (but not activated yet), is there someway of changing this hidden email address

Hi, I am trying to book seats from München to Bologna on 18th july 8.17, 1st class seats. I understand there is a Brenner pass included, and the seats in the italian connection used to be expensive. But the price is still 442 euro for 5 people.  Am I doing anything wrong, or is it this expensive this year? 

I am struggling to find pass holder reservations for any EC train Italy-Switzerland via this site, or RailEurope, or OBB.  All will sell me a full fare, but no pass holder reservation.Specifically I am trying to book EC16 13:10 Milano Centrale - Zurich. on 20/07/26.  I have tried many other dates, even different months and all say (on interrail.eu) pass holder reservations may be sold out.  Is this likely, 3.5 months in advance?  (I have tried dates in May as a test, in case reservations have not opened yet, but get the same message).I know there is a local train option with a change in Lugano and may have to rely on that, but curious to know if others see the same, and insights on what is going on?Many thanks for your help

Hi all, while I’m a very loyal user of interrail passes, having used 10 or so in total in the past 10 years, I have trust issues when it comes to leaving my personal data with Eurail BV again, after it’s been put for sale on the dark web due to bad IT security at this company (especially since the data exposed in my case was linked to a pass I used back in 2023, while it clearly would have been good data protection practice to delete them after a year or so). So, I’m thinking about buying a paper pass for my next trip. Some railway companies such as DB still sell them over the counter, and personal data (name, passport number, date of birth) is printed on the pass. My question is whether this data is being printed on the pass only, or also sent electronically by DB to Eurail BV and stored on the same servers as the mobile pass data. Does anyone have any insights to this?

I am attempting to book Verona to Munich using the German Pass. The information on the drop down box has a tick against valid for German Pass. Then below this with a red bar it states " not valid for one or more pass"What can I do? Reservations are open as less than 90 days out.

Hi I haven’t bought the Eurail passes yet. We are coming early May and doing London & Paris. We have a family of 7. Can anyone look and see if there's 7 tickets on the Eurostar on May 5 going from London to Paris. I don’t want to buy the pass if there's not enough of the Eurail tickets available. I just learned about this as an option for traveling. 

Hi!Quick question about my Interrail pass.I have a 5-day Global Pass and only 1 travel day left. I’m trying to get from Budapest to Paris (and after Tours, France) on August 15th with a night train.The route I found is:Budapest → Ulm Hbf (on August 16th : night train) → ParisBut Interrail says I need 2 travel days for this, which I don’t have.Is there a way to make this work with only 1 travel day?Or should I book part of the trip separately?Thanks a lot!

2 nights in We are doing 2 nights in only 3 cities, 1 in the rest, bar Amsterdam. As you can see in the top left it says 10 travel days yet im not sure if it adds up to this? Can anyone help or reccomend, ta.
