Existing reservations with a different pass?

We’ve got passes for 4 days of travel in one month, but now we’ve made all our reservations we have realised we need 5 days. We could refund our 4 day passes and replace them with 5 day ones, but then the passes will have different numbers than the ones we used when making our reservations.

Does anyone know if this is likely to cause a problem with our reservations? The Interrail chatbot says it will be OK, but we don’t want to be standing on a platform somewhere being told our reservations are no good.

Our other option is just to pay one of the days as if we didn’t have passes, but I think this is likely to work out more expensive.

Very few reservations even mention any pass number (depending on the exact trains and where you booked), and even for the few that do, it's very unlikely to cause a problem.
