I’m looking into the European Sleeper train’s new service from Brussels to Milan; thinking of next year. I’d book a private compartment for 4 of us. Has anyone used them? How are they and how do they compare to the Night jet service from Brussels to Vienna (I used that a few years ago).

+9The carriages are much older than Nightjet. They can be a bit old and rattly, with things not working as expected. You can see the sort of accommodation here (I’m not sure if these are the exact carriages, but they will be of similar vintage, I think).

ES have their problems with quality and reliability, but despite these they are generally ok as long as you expect something a bit more retro!
