I have just booked my first journey for 13/8/22 in southern Italy .The reservation email tells me that  I must print it and take a paper copy .This is ok when I am still at home but what about the future journeys I will book when I’m en route and then won’t have access to a printer?

Eurail tells every time to print the reservation, most of the train companies accept them also as PDF on the phone. 

In Italy the accept it as PDF on the phone, but I woumd suggest to print it. In Italy there are copy shops or also in hotels it is possible
