I’m from the Netherlands and now I am studying in England for 4 months. I want to go back to the Netherlands for Christmas somewhere in the lasts weeks of September. Then a week later I have to be back at school for 1 more week of lessons. After that I have to permanently return to the Netherlands.
I was looking to buy a pass for three days so I can travel from UK → NL (day 1) back to UK (day 2) and then back to NL (day 3). But a friend of mine told me that the pass will be terminated when you return the country you leave from.
So my question is: Is it possible to depart from a country, then get back in that country, and then go back to your home country afterwards even if you already returned to the country you departed from?
Of course this will all happen within a month

With a Global Pass you can travel on 2 of your pass days in your own country (so called inbound/outbound options).
There is currently a trial which gives users from a few countries 3 inbound/outbound days. It seems to include the Netherlands but don't necessarily count on it.
Remember that you need to add a mandatory reservation to travel on the Eurostar : 30€ from Brussels, 35€ from the Netherlands (Amsterdam sells out before Rotterdam). There is a passholder quota so book well in advance.

As I am leaving from the UK to the NL, then back to the UK and then permanently back to the NL I think using the global ticket will be cheaper. but I will look into the links you sent!
