Hi,

I have to take :

  • a night train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi on Monday 7 March, with a cabin if possible
  • a train from Rovaniemi to Kuopio on Friday 11 March
  • a train from Kuopio to Helsinki on Sunday 13 March. If I take the pass at 105 euros for 1 country (Finland) and 3 trips, can you tell me if the rates are more advantageous than if I take individual bookings ? Best regards Candice FORNO

You can check the regular fares on the website of Finnish railways.

When travelling with Interrail, do take into account the costs of the reservation for the night train. For the day trains, reservation is optional.

Rov-Kuo is not direct and has never been.

AFAIK VR (=finn railways) still has limits due to covid on REServing sleeper cabins-you may as single be forced to book whole coupe-check their site. VR charges airline style slowly rising prices for their long-dist trains and all these have mandatory REServation.

VR's day trains, including long distance, have optional reservation.
