I have 3 first names on my passport, one of which is a middle name (mothers maiden last name). As the first name box when getting the passes has a character limit of 20, I couldn’t fit all of it. Would that become an issue with identification purposes boarding the train?

It’s easiest to just use first and last name for the pass.
The ID on the rail pass is to ensure it is only used by one person, it doesn’t need to exactly match the passport with middle names.
