Welcome to our brand new community, and thanks for joining us. We’re excited to have the whole Eurail and Interrail community in one place for the first time! We hope you enjoy this all-new space for online conversation, but we also want to take a moment to remember where this all started, and what the Eurail and Interrail online communities have become.

When we first launched the Official Traveller Facebook groups for Eurail and Interrail back in 2018, we wanted a place for travellers to connect, share tips and help one another. With instant success from the start, we’ve seen this community grow and prosper over the years and we couldn’t be happier. But it’s time for a change so that you can connect with each other in better and exciting ways, as well as bringing together European and non-European travellers for the first time.

This new community platform has many of the features we were looking for, along with an updated look and feel. Some of the new features include direct messages between users, a cleaner setup with a friendly format, and a better layout making it easier to reply. There is also a new community structure which includes a ‘’News & announcement’’ section for the latest updates; a place to find support on the Eurail and Interrail products and services; and a dedicated category for exchanging itineraries, inspiration and tips on train travel in Europe.

We’re excited for the move, but aren’t forgetting the past. The community has helped Eurail grow to be the company it is today and we see it being hugely important as we grow further in the years to come. We’d like to give a special thanks to all our moderators and most active users for making the communities so wonderful over the years, and for their help in testing the new community to ensure it is ready for all.

We are so happy you are here to continue this journey with us and are ready to share your ideas and inspiration. Let me be the first to say to you all, welcome!

Note: Before you dive into threads and start asking questions or posting new and exciting topics, there are a few things you need to know to get started. We’d also love to get your feedback on the new community, so let us know what you think in our feedback topic.

Oh, and one last thing! Don't forget to introduce yourself to the community!

We are looking forward seeing all of you online soon.

Cheers,
Nanja from Eurail

Yes just  use your foreign passport for the Eurailpass 🙂 if you just wanna travel through Switzerland maybe check the Swiss Travelpass (cover more routes in Switzerland ) and even some mountain rail that are not covered by Eurail :)

But with Swiss Travelpass you would need a ticket from Germany to Switzerland
