Hi! I was planning a trip that would be about 10 days: From Berlin - Hamburg - Amsterdam - Bruges - Brussels - Paris - Back to Berlin. I plan on getting the 10 days eurail pass.
Any thoughts, advice, or recommendations?

Sure, it would definitely work. If you don't plan to take the train every day a 5 or 7 day pass might be enough. Bruges - Brussels is not worth using a pass day as tickets are cheap. :)

Some advice about reservations :

Reservations are optional on Berlin - Hamburg - Amsterdam, recommended on weekends (mandatory in summer on the cross-border section).

Between Amsterdam and Bruges take the hourly reservation-free IC over the expensive Eurostar.

Reservations are mandatory on French high-speed trains :

- domestic trains : 10€ limited fare, then 20€

- TGV/ICEs to Germany : 18€

- Eurostar from/to Brussels : 27€ (passholder quota so book well in advance)

Between Bruges and Paris it'll be cheaper to travel via Lille (TGV to Paris from there).

Between Paris and Berlin either :

- night train (book in advance) -> good way to save time. Couchettes are better than seats.

- Eurostar to Cologne : 32€ + passholder quota

- TGV/ICE to Frankfurt : 18€
