Hello. I have a Global Pass. I booked a trip on the Caledonian Sleeper from London Euston to Inverness for May, 2025 using the room supplement option on the Caledonian website. This is available for Interrail Pass holders and covers only the sleeping compartment, not the train ticket. When I pull up this connection on my Rail Planner there appears a notice that seat reservations are required for this train. Since I have a sleeping berth, I don’t need a seat reservation. Can I ignore this notice or must I clarify the situation manually? Thanks.
HelloIn April next year I will be travelling from Brussels to London on the Eurostar. I will be in Europe on my Australian passport but will travel to the UK on my British passport. I have entered in my UK passport to get my Eurostar seat reservation for the Brussels - London leg. On my return from London to Paris, I assume I put my Australian passport details in to get my Eurostar reservation, even though I arrived on my UK passport. For both leaving the EU for UK, then returning, I assume I do EU immigration then UK at the start of both train trips. Is this correct? Many thanksJon
Hi All, I’m planning a family trip to Switzerland and was hoping to experience the Bernina Express. However, after checking the SBB website for reservations, I found that while tickets are available, there’s no reservation option for the Bernina Express since it is sold out. Furthermore, it’s unavailable on my planned date (and for the entire week, since there is only one Bernina Express train departing at 10:06 am). Since I can’t change my travel dates, I learned from a forum that it’s still possible to take a regular train ride from Tirano to St. Moritz. We’ll be staying in Lugano and plan to take the train from Lugano to Tirano, then return to Lucerne after the Tirano to St. Moritz journey.Could you recommend the best trains for these 3 segments?Which morning train would you suggest from Lugano to Tirano between 6:30 am and 8:00 am? Which specific regular train should we book for the Tirano to St. Moritz leg? How much time is recommended to spend in St. Moritz before heading to Lu

Hello,We’re back on the rails after a year off and the first of two trips is a week looping around Adalucia, reading up on rail pass versus Renfe Pass versus just buying the tickets. I need to do the maths but has anyone done this and has experience to share, its probably about 6/7 trains.I’ve started reading up on seat61 too but wondered if anyone had done something similar. Thanks
