Our planned trip (In April) currently sees us going from Monterosso to Milan (1 night) > Brig* on a direct Eurocity train > connect to the Glacier Express towards Chur (1 night) > Bernina Express to Tirano > Varenna (3 nights)> Venice.Milan isn’t that exciting so I was wondering if it was realistic to do Monterosso > Brig (1 Night) > Glacier Express to Chur (1 night or maybe even none) > Bernina Express to Varenna instead.I think more time on the Glacier/Bernina runs may be better than a night in Milan. Is that reasonable, or not worth the effort to change things around?I don't know if the Glacier Express leg adds a lot to the journey, as another alternative might be straight from Monteross To Chur (1 night) to Tirano to Varenna and add an extra night there.Or am I just overthinking this and be satisfied with the current plan?
I have never purchased a Eurail pass before. I am traveling from Barcelona to Logrono, Spain. I want to take the train at 8:45am and it arrives in Logrono at 12:52pm. That’s the only train time that works for me. On the return one week later, I need to go from Logrono, Spain to Barcelona airport. Again, only one time that works, the 7:30am train, arriving at 1pm to airport. I can see the different train companies online to buy a ticket directly from the individual train company. Do I also need to get a Eurail pass? I’m not sure what I will be doing regarding traveling within the week I’m there, but I expect I will be staying in the Logrono area the who time. Thank you for your help in explaining what I need to purchase.
Today I bought the mobile pass and want to make a reservation for Deutsche bahn. I know how to make the reservation. But do I need to activate the pass first before i can make a seat reservation? Or can I activate the pass after I made a reservation? Because I'm not travelling this weekend and I'm afraid that the pass will cost days if I will activate it a few days before my first travelday.
Hi team,I hold a first class Eurail passI understand that under OBB, we need to select one way/ day tickets for Trains going from Austria to Italy. We cannot use “seat reservation only” option However quickly wanted to check what should we choose for certain domestic Italy routes like :Venice - Rome Rome-Naples Day trip Rome-Pisa-RomeCan I use “seat reservation only” or “day ticket” on OBB? Or can I directly book with Italian operatorAlso, what about non-Italy routes like Zurich - Venice? Thank you
I have been caught up in the very last minute German train strike today (I assume like many other travelers). Does anyone know if DB will automatically accept passes valid for today when travelling tomorrow/next day?The DB website says all DB and international tickets for today are valid for future dates, no need to do anything, but doesn’t specifically mention rail passes.I was booked to travel today Chur-Basel-Stuttgart. I have an active travel day for today but have not been able to get any trains from Basel to Stuttgart. I don’t hold out any hope of further compensation/ hotels etc but will I at least be able to use pass for onward travel and just show old activated day?
I have a consecutive twin german pass for 4 days(before activation).I need to exchange my pass to the pass for 3 days because of the strike in germany.I can’t postpone my journey because my return flight is 4 days later. How can I get my ticket exchanged or refunded with full fare(not 85%)?And because of the situation, I want Eurail deal with this right now.
Trying to book a 1st Class Reservation for 2 on the 24th from Nuremberg to Salzburg. Also from Salzburg to Stuttgart on the 26. Just end up getting error messages at check-out. Does this indicate full trains as I’ve tried a number of different departure times.Didn’t have any issues with any other legs of my trip. In and out of Austria is the only thing tripping me up. Help!

We have 1st class Eurail passes (mobile). I think I have some parts figured out but could use input on a few things.Per Google maps, we can take get there in 3 main steps (all in one day):1- 930 am TER train from Bayeux, France to Gare St Lazare in Paris (1200) , then transfer to RER E- go one stop to get to Gare du Nord to pickup the Eurostar to London St Pancras 2- 1512 pm Eurostar to London St Pancras3- EMR train from London St Pancras to Market Harborough, UKHere are my questions:I know our Eurail pass will get us through legs 1+2 of the trip. If pass is valid on leg 3 of trip to Market Harborough, would you recommend a reservation for that one hour ride since our Eu

Hi!I’m planning on interrailing from the end of July to early/mid September. I just wanted to double check before I buy- the Black Friday discount for two months continuous says that the latest date of travel is the 31st July. Does this mean that the travel dates (if I start as late as possible) will be from 30th July- 30th September? It also says about activating it from the 1st June or before, which I understand to be adding passport detail and first train information. Is this when the first travel day is activated from- I assume not as the latest it says to travel from is the 31st July but want to make sure before I buy it! Thank you!
I’ve got a 5 Day within a month Interrail Global Pass and so has my mum. I’m trying to reserve seats for us on the Hamburg to Stockholm 22:01-09:56 train on the 11th of October. Everything I have read tells me to not use the eurail/interrail website to book reservations as they are normally less on the train company’s website. So I looked at sj.se and put in the passes for us both and have the following options:Seat: 330SEK (£24.60)Couchette: 770SEK (£57.40)Sleeping compartment: 1,660SEK (£123.74)Whole compartment: 1,654SEK (123.29) When I look at the Interrail.eu website I get the following:Seat: £11.36Couchette: £22.36Sleeper (2 in a 3 bed I think?): £45.52Is there a reason that the interrail prices are so much less? Somewhere I read that it was doubled on checkout and it was for one person only but then I removed one of us and the prices halved. Is there a catch I’m not understanding with the interrail website? I obviously would prefer to pay less and reserve through there but I don
