seat bookings!

hi team just another question regarding seat bookings. we are doing the long journey from Rome to Paris, - and we want to go through southern France instead of Switzerland. I know the train is leaving at 8:20am from Rome - on the 12th May but i wanted to ask, as it stops in Milan and we have to change train stations from Centrale to garibaldi in a half hour gap between the trains it said that the TGV inoui is departing from Garibaldi station in Milan. Just looking at worse case scenarios if. we miss our train how can we find if more trains are coming? and is there a chance we can keep our seats on the next train if we do. and can we book family booths through rail plus? ive heard they have some is there any recommendations on the best way to get to garibaldi, although its close walking alone ins 20 minutes, can anyone recommend the quickest way to get to garibaldi station from Centrale which gives us some time to find the platform? your assistance is greatly appreciated!

Train routes in Ireland. & Northern Ireland

Hello everybody! Looking for help in planning a train trip from London to Belturbet in Ireland and am testing the limits of the Eurail app ;-) Can someone please confirm: 1) Holyhead route is the best option from London to Deblin? 2) Pedestrian/Train passengers can board the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin? 3) The best way to get to Belturbet for which there is a bus route Expressway Bus 30 from Dublin? 4) Is there another way to get to Belturbet where a train connection from Dublin can get me closer to Belturbet and the bus journey can be eliminated or minimized? I am hoping someone well versed wirh the area can guide me in planning a better utilization of our Eurail Global passes with a family of four! Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond...

I have a Eurail pass Nothing booked I’d like to book from Glasgow to Frankfurt airport Hopefully do it in one day Eurail website sent me to another website Says “cannot book from your address” I am in the US Help?

Reservations Bulgaria

I wondered if anyone has experience of making bookings at Bulgarian Railway Stations as the app advised. We are travelling from Sofia to Ruse on May 29th and need reservations Sofia Sever to Gorna Oryahovitsa Gorna Oryahovitsa to Ruse We will arrive in Sofia on May 27th and will try to make reservations on that day for onward travel on May 29th. Will this work or there any other options for reservations? Thanks

First interrail: Tips for French Riviera and Italy

Hello! I am currently planning an interrail through the French Riviera and the Northwest Italy. My plan is to travel from Madrid, then Barcelona, travel by the French Riviera, Northwest Italy and finnally get to Milan. I want to make the whole travel by train, but I’m struggling to find options to get back to Madrid. One option was to get night trains, but I realized that there are not a lot of them… One of the options was to get a night train to Paris, and another one to Barcelona and finnaly, Madrid (so I wouldn’t need to pay for hostels). Do you think it's feasible? What other options should I consider? Thank you!

travel in home country with global pass

hi, i’m travelling from the UK to Europe using a global pass. can i make multiple journeys in my home country using the pass? the website is ambiguous - it says i can only make two journeys - one in, one out - but i can have ‘multiple train transfers’. Does this mean i can travel from any location to London then get the eurostar as long as it is on the same travel day? And the same on return i assume?

Eurail pass on mobile

Hi there, My partner and I have finally purchased two eurail passes as we are travelling from Australia. We have not activated them as yet as we dont travel until june 16th this year. We both have the app on mobiles but are wondering how does this get validated by the train conductors ? Do they just check your phone for the pass or do they scan your phone ? Or do you have to print off a ticket every time from your phone to make a train trip ? I have always used and paid for paper tickets so this is very new for us, especially cause we plan to make 10 train trips so hoping for this to be simple. We may also need to get phone plans overseas as not sure if there is always working wifi. Thanks again..

Bonjour, J’aimerais réserver mes places de train pour pouvoir être assise, mais je ne comprends vraiment pas comment faire. Je suis redirigée vers le site Interrail alors que je veux réserver mes places sur l’application DiscoverEU. Sur le site, on me parle de crédits pour réserver ma place et non d’euros. Ce n’est pas très clair, quelqu’un pourrait-il me détailler la procédure pour réserver ses places ? Merci

night train family share in single sex cabins

We are a family of 4 planning to travel on night trains in Norway this Summer. We have 1st class passes but this isn't always available which leaves my partner and 2 sons in a 3 berth cabin and me sharing with 2 female strangers. Is there any way to book 2 x 2 berths so we can travel together?

Changing platforms

If I’m travelling from Amsterdam Centraal to Delft and need to change trains or platforms at Sloterdijk, with my paper Global Pass, do I write Sloterdijk or Delft as my destination. I won’t be leaving the station, just changing either platforms or trains.

activating the passes

Hi team we are coming to Europe in May and I had a few more questions. We are travelling in May but the global pass train from Rome to Paris with only one connection change in Milan has limited seats. How can I secure the seats in that line before without having to activate the pass? ( if we activate the pass now then we have 1 month to use it but we are coming next month) Are there police in the train stations and at what times we are worried about pick pockets in some of our destinations travelling with kids your assistance is greatly appreciated! wazma
