I’ve just ordered two paper passes. I have an order number starting with IN, am I able to start booking seat reservations where the cover number is required if so where can I find the cover numbers?

+6You can find the cover numbers on the actual passes (on their cover) when they get delivered.
With maybe a very few exceptions it is always better to make a seat reservation on the website of the railway company. This is often possible without giving a pass number. Some booking systems ask for pass number, but do not use it and any arbitrary number works. I do not know if this should one try with an actual reservation. Otherwise you have to wait for your passes when a pass number is required
