I am only missing our one last day of the interrail, as I am waiting for this route to be available. But even after once in a while always checking the rail app and raileurope website, this route that can take us from Florence (06.55 am) to Utrecht Centraal (9.29 pm) is only available so far until 15 July, whereas we are planning our trip on 31 July 2024. The problem is that the last train from Basel SBB - Utrecht Centraal that is available up to 15 July is not available on 16 July onwards yet. But all other preceeding trains up to Basel Sbb is already available with the exact same time. Is there a reason for that? Should i wait longer for this last train route and this route would hopefully appear? Any help would be appreciated! The trip that we want to take: The last train’s options available for the 31st July
Hi there! I’m reserving the seats for my trip from Switzerland to Venezia Mestre. I’m looking for which side to book for two of my trains, anyone has any recommendation or experience when taking the train? I also included the screenshot of the available seats illustration from the RailEurope (there are other coaches still available as well, but i’m not sure which direction will the train go, as the raileurope doesnt give an indication of that.. are both sides equally as good?):Bellinzona - Milano Central (free on choosing seats) Milano Centrale - Venezia Mestre this train cost 2 more euros to choose per seat, if i opt not to choose the seat, will the three of us be seated next to each other automatically?another question: I saw the next train does not require a reservation. Will this be safe considering i’m travelling on 26 July (peak summer)? Do you think it will be busy that we cannot get seats?
I heard that the Brienz Lake boat tour from Interlaken is also covered in the Interrail pass. Do I need to reserve a seat/book? Is it usually in full capacity on summer? I’m thinking of taking the boat around 4 pm
I will be going to Switzerland in the summer (might re-visit for winter again), hence for this trip, I am really interested in the Brienz Rothorn Bahn as I think going on winter won’t have the same scenery. But it’s pretty pricey (return trip is 96 CHF, is it not covered by interrail, not even a discount?), is it really worth it? The cable car to the top of Zermatt is almost similar price even. Any suggestion or maybe there are other more affordable steam trains for interrail holders? Addition: is it possible to get one way up, then hike down? or would that be too much of a hike Thank you!
Hi there! I need recommendation on which panoramic train/(s) to choose from in Switzerland as eurail holders (travelling at 23-26 July): here is our rough planned itinerary for now (the one colored blue are the one we’re going to activate our eurail passes)The one trip i am most indecisive with panoramic train i think would be our last trip from interlaken to Venezia Mestre. I’m considering this routes:Interlaken - Lucerne (Zentralbahn) reservation optional, 16 euro then followed by Lucerne > Bellinzona > Milan Central > Venezia Mestre St. Moritz - Tirano (Bernina Express) reservation 33 euro then followed by Tirano - Colico > Milan Central > Venezia Mestre my questions are:I heard the Zentralbahn route is also really nice with the Lake Brienz view. So is Bernina Express worth it for that price to hop on in summer? (will we pass through icy glacier alps and snowy panorama? We are from tropical country so snowy panorama would be very nice. We’re okay with spending a bi
Hi! I’m going to be travelling with my interrail pass, together with 2 of my parents (Eurail pass holders) and now we are on the stage of trying to book all the necessary reservation seat. I have several questions:So after learning how to work with the app, is it true that in the interrail app itself, we only need to save the trip routes in our app, then slide and activate the yellow QR code on the day of travel (this is to show the ticketing staff that we have the ticket for the train). Whereas for the reservation seat, we just need to purchase separately from the official website (e.g. SBB, DB, RailEurope, TrenItalia, etc). So later on we have an e-ticket of the number of the seat as well from these websites. Is this correct? I’m trying to book our first seat reservation (for the train of Paris Est -> Strasbourg on 23rd July at 06.52 A.M just like the one stated on the rail planner app). However, the I’m not sure if it’s possible to book seats for all three of us together as the w
