Hello,

is it possible to use the first class seat reservations sold to me by SNCF over the phone but I have a 2nd class global pass? Their weren’t anymore seat reservations other than 1sr class and desperately needed this train for this day. We are using these seat reservations for the train from Paris to Barcelona and is a TGV train. Thank you.

Second class pass holders may only travel in second class carriages with the relevant tickets. If you travel in first class, even with the correct tickets, you will likely be subject to a fine.

I would highly doubt they’d let you board the train in 1st class with a 2nd class pass. Call them right back to ask to be sure.. but I wouldn’t keep my hopes up if I were you.

I did end paying the difference in price from 2nd class seat reservations to 1st class.

Ok, but did you tell them that you hold a 2nd class pass?

Hi, may I know how much you pay the differences? I am in the same case like you.

Your prompt reply very much appreciated.
