Hi,

It is possible to make a few hours stop on a travel day? And use two connections on one day?

Example: La Chaux-de-Fonds (CH) - Bern (CH) 10.02u - 11.07u

                Bern (CH) - Utrecht Centraal  15.04 - 23.17u

You have absolutely no problem. A travel day in your pass covers all valid trains taken between 0000 and 2359 CET. If you board a train scheduled to leave before 2359 that finishes after midnight that is still included in that travel day.

Gaps or breaks are expected.

Just make sure you add the trains you are travelling on to your pass before boarding and delete any you load but then don’t catch.

Sure. You can take as many trains as you like on a travel day (00.00-23.59 CE(S)T).

Also, if you board a train before midnight there will be no new travel day accounted for unless you board a new train on the arrival day of the night train.

Expect delays on the last leg-plus that it also is not direct-at least change Basel and detour at the mo due to works Arnhem-Ede-Utrecht. I very much advise you to still try to RES for this ling ICE-trip.
